The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 537: Chapter 537: Can Still Find Professor Adelle to Treat His Father_1

”Uncle Sullivan, I think you’ve misunderstood my point,” she spoke slowly and methodically.

However, Myles Sullivan mistook her as thinking the conditions he offered weren’t enough to appease the Cagwin family, so pondering, he said, ”Well then, you mentioned that Freddy’s father is frequently hospitalized and that the medical resources in McKinney aren’t great, I can arrange for his dad to be transferred to a hospital in Beijing and find the best experts to treat him...”

Speaking of which, he suddenly thought of someone, ”Have you heard of Professor Adelle from Tsinghua University?”

He looked relaxed, with a faint smile he said, ”She’s a top neurologist in the country. If Freddy’s father has a disease in that field, I can come forward and ask Professor Adelle to take a look for him. Professor Adelle usually doesn’t treat patients and only accepts two or three surgeries a year at most. However, she owes me a favor and she’d likely give me some face. As long as I ask, she’ll probably not refuse... This is an unimaginable opportunity, and I think it should offset the foolish thing Jecksen did.”

Adelle Wafford.

Nathalie went through this name in her mind, and remembered this figure; wasn’t she the one who specifically traveled to McKinney, magnanimously offering her a direct admission spot which was declined, and then became infuriated, repeatedly causing Nathalie trouble?

She sat back on the sofa, half-closing her eyes in an indolently casual manner, not taking that person too seriously.

Compared to Adelle Wafford.

She had more faith that Mr. Avalon might have a way to cure Uncle Cagwin.

As for Adelle Wafford, a doctor without even basic humanity, she didn’t believe that such a person could achieve much in medicine.

How could a doctor who can’t tolerate any differences become a good doctor?

Chinese Medicine or Western Medicine, in the end, aren’t they both for the purpose of treating patients and saving lives?

If she wanted someone to treat Uncle Cagwin, she could readily find Mr. Avalon; there was no need to settle for less by going through him to find Adelle Wafford.

Whether domestically or abroad, in terms of fame or medical skill, Mr. Avalon and Adelle Wafford were not on the same level!

It was just that the time wasn’t right yet. Uncle Cagwin’s physical condition was too frail, not suitable for long-distance travel, and she needed to spend the three months before college entrance exams to improve Uncle Cagwin’s health first.

Myles Sullivan was still explaining how formidable and hard to get ahold of Adelle Wafford was.

Nathalie interrupted him, speaking concisely, ”Uncle Sullivan, I can let go of the matter with Jecksen, but as I said, I have two conditions. First, Jecksen needs to apologize to Freddy. Second, it shouldn’t affect Freddy’s schooling. These are my bottom lines. If they’re not met, there’s nothing to discuss.”

Myles Sullivan hadn’t expected her to be so firm; even after he stated his stance so clearly, she was unwilling to budge.

His face color somewhat turned unsightly, the smile fading as he stared into Nathalie’s eyes and said gravely, ”Nathalie, I can agree to your latter condition, but your first condition, can you just let that slide?”

He could use his connections to retrieve the confession that implicated Freddy, but getting Jecksen to admit fault was much more difficult.

Firstly, because Jecksen was a spoiled rich kid with a character molded by indulgent family members, that little tyrant would never own up to his mistakes, let alone apologize to someone like Freddy, whom he disregarded completely.

Additionally, Jecksen admitting fault would equate to owning the substances found on Freddy, which would lead to detention and punishment.

Should Jecksen end up in a detention center, where would the Wilmar family’s face go?

Her demand may seem simple, but it was too difficult in practice.

At least, he was looking for a way to downplay the situation.

”I know Freddy is your friend, and you want to stand up for him. I also recognize that what Jecksen did was despicable, but he really knows he was wrong. Nathalie, can’t you forgive him just this once for my sake? Take it as Uncle Sullivan asking you, please?”
