The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 510: Chapter 510: Mr. Yapiter Comes to Pick Up People Personally_1

He looked up.

Ivy Wilmar glanced at him with disdain and asked deliberately nonchalantly, ”Mr. Cadwell, Jecksen Wilmar was beaten into a level ten disability, how should this case be determined?”

Disability levels refer to the degree of a person’s disability, which is determined based on the severity of the disability, with disability grades ranging from level one to level ten.

Level ten disability sounds serious, but level one is actually the most severe.

A level ten disability is akin to a minor injury.

Often, hospitals have difficulty determining whether a victim has a level ten disability or a minor injury. A minor injury written more seriously can be classified as a level ten disability, and conversely, a level ten disability can be downplayed as a minor injury.

But from a legal standpoint, if Jecksen Wilmar only sustained a minor injury, then Nathalie Quinlan wouldn’t be guilty of a crime and would just need to pay compensation and apologize.

However, if Jecksen Wilmar is disabled, that’s a different story.

Ivy Wilmar precisely grasped this point, which is why she had someone send Jecksen Wilmar to the provincial hospital and obtained a new injury assessment report. Initially, she wanted to exaggerate the severity of Jecksen Wilmar’s condition in the report, but somehow Nathalie Quinlan managed to ensure that the provincial hospital would not write it more severe. They told her they could only issue a report for a level ten disability at most, otherwise, it would just be a minor injury...

She snapped back to reality and stopped herself from continuing that thought, and said sternly, ”You said earlier that you couldn’t rush to close the case without a clear investigation, and now the injury assessment is out. Jecksen Wilmar has been beaten into a disability. I don’t like to trouble others, but now I just want an answer. Can you or can you not close the case and give my younger brother justice?”

”This...”

Closing the case would certainly be impossible—doing so would mean acknowledging Nathalie Quinlan’s charge of deliberate injury.

Simon Cadwell was pressured step by step by her, truly unsure of what reason to find to exonerate Nathalie Quinlan, yet he was sure he had to find a way to protect her. He said in a low voice, ”The report from City Hospital indicates a minor injury, while Mrs. Sullivan, the report you provided indicates a level ten disability. I also don’t know which hospital’s result should be considered authoritative...”

”It seems Mr. Cadwell won’t shed tears until he sees the coffin,” Ivy Wilmar snorted coldly, saying, ”You also don’t need to beat around the bush with me. I’m not so easily deceived. According to your own rules, the result from the higher-level hospital should definitely take precedence. The provincial hospital’s report says Jecksen Wilmar is disabled, so he is disabled. If you can’t handle such a simple case, I will have to have someone who can handle it!”

Her intention was to make Nathalie Quinlan be transferred.

”No way!” Simon Cadwell stood up in opposition without thinking.

Ivy Wilmar had given him enough ”face,” and seeing that he was stubborn and protective of Nathalie Quinlan, she didn’t want to waste time with him anymore. She was about to speak to Juan Wilmar to have someone replace Simon Cadwell...

Then saw Juan Wilmar come in hurriedly, with not such a good face color.

”What happened?”

Juan Wilmar walked quickly to her, his face was ashen. He first glanced at Simon Cadwell beside him, then looked towards her, his spirits somewhat deflated, and said, ”Mr. Yapiter has come, his car is outside, and he wants to take Nathalie Quinlan away...”

Today really was like he’d seen a ghost. How could someone of Mr. Yapiter’s status make a special trip for an ordinary high school student, and furthermore, his tone was very forceful when speaking to him, not leaving any room for negotiating. Even if he mentioned that Nathalie Quinlan had injured Jecksen Wilmar, the other party remained utterly unconcerned, not afraid of making an enemy of the Wilmar family, just with that attitude, demanding the person!

Ivy Wilmar hadn’t come back to her senses yet and furrowed her brow, ”Which Mr. Yapiter?”

”Owen Yapiter.”

As he uttered the name, Ivy Wilmar instantly froze.

With troubled and inscrutable eyes, Juan Wilmar looked at her, ”Isn’t she just an ordinary high school girl? How could she know Mr. Yapiter?”
