The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 506: Chapter 506: Can’t Even Plead as They Haven’t Met the Other Party_1

Wilmar family.

Ericko Zachmann sat in the drawing-room, and after drinking three cups of tea, as he watched the fourth cup become empty, he could no longer maintain his composure. He pursed his lips tightly and silently placed the cup back on the table.

The servants of the Wilmar family were very perceptive. Each time Ericko was about to finish a cup, they immediately went to brew fresh tea, ensuring a guest’s cup would never be empty.

Boiling water infused with pre-rain Longjing, the jade-green tea leaves floating then settling in the vintage teaware, wafting a burst of delicate tea fragrance.

In the past, Mr. Zachmann would have taken great interest in calmly enjoying the flavor of this year’s newest pre-rain Longjing, but at this moment, he felt as if a thousand ants were crawling in his heart; he was unable to sit still and completely uninterested in drinking tea. Seeing that his cup was refilled again, he could no longer stay calm and spoke up, ”...Excuse me, may I ask if Mr. Wilmar is still busy?”

He had received a phone call from Audrick at nine o’clock in the evening, saying Nathalie had hit Jecksen and that she was taken to the police station.

He had rushed to the Wilmar family immediately, and now, the hands on the wall clock had already moved to the 11 o’clock mark, yet Raymond had still not come out to see him.

He had been part of the circle for sixty years; how could he not see through the other party’s obvious disregard, leaving him hanging?

But this time, it was their family that was in the wrong first. When someone didn’t show face to him as an elder, he could only tolerate it and was unable to lose his temper.

”This...” The servant dared not speak recklessly, bowing his head with an expression of difficulty, and hesitantly explained, ”Mr. Zachmann, you know the old master has been sick these past few days, and young lady Caryn is still looking after him... I’m not sure if she’s finished or not...”

Two hours had passed, and even if Celine wasn’t finished, fully aware that there were guests waiting outside, she could have found a moment to come out.

But for a full two hours, Celine maintained her arrogance, unwilling to meet.

A man of high status all his life, Mr. Zachmann picked up the teacup once again and put it down, finally losing his patience and sternly interrupted the servant, ”Then please trouble yourself to go ask Mr. Wilmar how much longer he’ll be busy, and how much longer I must wait to see her!”

His back was taut, and the aura of his former high position lingered.

The servant’s face turned pale, not daring to say more, hurriedly responded, ”Right away.”

...

Half an hour later, he returned home.

Zachmann family, Leonardy Zachmann, Celine Tucker, and Caryn Zachmann were all present.

As soon as Leonardy saw him return, he quickly approached, unable to hide the anxiousness in his brows, ”Dad, how did it go, did you see Raymond? What did the Wilmar family say?”

Mr. Zachmann had been running around all night because of this matter. He was of advanced years and not in good spirits, appearing to be in poor condition. Hearing Leonardy’s question, he hesitated and then shook his head.

”Dad, what do you mean by shaking your head?” Seeing him merely shaking his head and remaining silent, Leonardy paused momentarily and pressed, ”Are they unwilling to let Nathalie go?”

He had already anticipated this result in his heart.

Raymond had given birth to his youngest son, Jecksen, when he was nearly thirty, and he doted on him like the apple of his eye, which was the reason Jecksen developed a recklessly brave character, thinking nothing and no one could touch him.

Leonardy had never thought the two families would have any interaction; who would have imagined that a phone call from Audrick would reveal Nathalie had hit Jecksen!

Not only did she hit him, but she also broke three of his ribs and sent him to the hospital!

Thinking up to this point, Leonardy’s brow couldn’t help but twitch violently, finding the whole situation inconceivable and never expecting such a thing to occur in his family.

He had certain connections in the business community; had Nathalie hit someone else, he could have found a way to settle it, but with Jecksen...

He truly had no solution.
