The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 504: Chapter 504: Nathalie Has Already Found Someone to Pick Up_1

She didn’t deny it, ”I had someone help me find something interesting.”

These words meant she was admitting to having something on Jecksen Wilmar.

Amadeus Yancey’s eyes were very deep, and from the surface, it was impossible to tell what he was thinking. His eyes were incredibly beautiful, with a deep set and a restrained depth of black within.

”Can you send it to me to take a look?”

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t think it was a big deal; without much consideration, she readily said, ”Alright, I’ll send it to you later.”

With a sound of affirmation, Amadeus then shifted his pose and asked her, ”I’ll be in McKinney by one in the morning, do you want me to find someone to pick you up first?”

He actually wanted to pick her up himself, but unfortunately, the airplane would arrive too late. In October, nights in McKinney began to get cold, and he was worried about Nathalie Quinlan being alone and experiencing a grievance at the police station.

He had always been assertive in his actions. As years went by, he matured and his temper calmed down a lot, but the constraining oppression from within still remained.

If Amadeus were to come forward to pick someone up, even if Ivy Wilmar had ten times the courage, she wouldn’t dare to detain the person.

However, Nathalie said, ”You don’t need to run back just for my sake, I’ve already found someone to pick me up, and they’re on their way.”

”According to what I know, Mr. Ingram is on a business trip overseas and isn’t in McKinney,” Amadeus replied, not out of distrust for her words, but rather out of concern that she might stay silent and not be willing to speak up.

Sometimes, Nathalie Quinlan could be quite stubborn; having known her for so long, he saw that she was extremely reluctant to trouble others, accustomed to tackling everything on her own, even if it meant getting beaten black and blue in the process without ever asking for help...

Amadeus’s lips formed a thin line, unable to determine whether this aspect of Nathalie’s character was good or bad. Everyone had their personality, and he respected all her strengths and flaws. He just hoped that, at least with him, she could slightly lower her guard and trust him a little more.

Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t expected him to check Silvania Ingram’s schedule. She was slightly surprised and raised her eyebrows, but she wasn’t angry, nor did she realize that Amadeus’s actions were a bit intrusive on her privacy. She calmly said, ”I didn’t reach out to Mrs. Ingram. I asked Mr. Yapiter.”

”He’s on his way back, and if nothing unexpected happens, he can be here within an hour.”

Alfred Garland, who had been standing aside as a diligent background board, twitched the corners of his mouth severely when he heard her mention Mr. Yapiter in such a casual tone.

For a figure like Owen Yapiter, even the top families in Beijing had to be alert and careful in their interactions.

Mr. Yapiter, as referred to by Ms. Quinlan, sounded somewhat like an amiable old neighbor???

Amadeus didn’t expect her to seek help from Owen Yapiter, nor did he anticipate that Owen Yapiter would be willing to make a special late-night trip to pick up a high school girl.

Although he was unclear about the nature of their relationship, hearing that Owen Yapiter would pick her up, he was completely reassured. After a few more words with Nathalie Quinlan, he hung up the phone call.

...

In the car.

Alfred Garland was waiting for him to hang up.

Finally able to release the breath he had been holding, he patted his chest with a trembling heart and said, ”Amadeus, what’s the relationship between Ms. Quinlan and Mr. Yapiter? Mr. Yapiter is actually willing to make a trip for Ms. Quinlan. It’s quite cold out, and if the relationship were just casual, others might not be so inclined to extend such a courtesy.”

Especially because this person was none other than Owen Yapiter!

This was a significant figure, unlike Mr. Norton and others, wielding actual power. Many sought to curry favor with such an important person to no avail.

Ms. Quinlan and...
