The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 507: Chapter 507: It’s No Big Deal to Not Take the College Entrance Exam_1

It all depended on whether Mr. Zachmann could find a way to communicate privately with the Wilmar Family and whether the Wilmar Family would consider the joint reputation of both families and handle this matter gently.

Of course, they would surely compensate for the damage and apologize as required, just as long as Raymond Wilmar would be willing to show some leniency with a lift of his hand—any condition would be negotiable!

He just feared that the Wilmar Family wouldn’t give them that ”face”!

Mr. Zachmann looked unwell, and if not for his body being stronger than before, his condition tonight could have triggered a severe bout of anger that would have felled him; now he was barely holding himself together by sheer willpower. Hearing the news, his face turned even grimmer, and he said, ”That’s not it. I didn’t meet with anyone from the Wilmar Family.”

”You left at nine o’clock, how could you...” Leonardy Zachmann began, but upon seeing his exhausted expression, swallowed the rest of his words. Frustrated and angry, he complained, ”What is the Wilmar Family trying to imply? Nathalie did hit someone, but I know her character—she’s not someone who creates trouble for no reason. She must have had a reason to hit Jecksen Wilmar, and it’s not certain that he was innocent. You went to apologize in person, yet they refused to even meet with you. What kind of attitude is this? What are they trying to show?”

Mr. Zachmann gestured for him to stop talking and said with drained energy, ”Regardless of the reason she hit someone, the Wilmar Family only needs to hold onto one point—she struck someone! We have nothing to say in our defense. Besides, Jecksen Wilmar is still in the hospital; there are both witnesses and evidence. The Wilmar Family has plenty of confidence to pursue accountability, and we are ultimately in the wrong.”

Leonardy Zachmann felt a tightness in his chest and a sense of helplessness. His hands fell limply to his sides, and he looked towards him with a pair of pleading eyes: ”Then what should we do? We can’t just watch as Nathalie is locked up in the police station...”

”And my brother is still abroad attending conferences, unaware of this incident. If he finds out, things might escalate even further.”

He was speaking of Nathalie’s father.

Stanley had never given up searching for his daughter over the years and had finally found Nathalie. He couldn’t wait to give her the best things in the world.

If he found out about this, he would probably do anything to protect her.

Leonardy and Stanley were true brothers, having grown up together. Although Leonardy didn’t regard Nathalie as his own daughter, he at least considered her a dear niece and cherished her from the bottom of his heart. With furrowed eyelids and evident discomfort, he said, ”...With big brother not back, we can’t just stand by and watch his daughter in the police station.”

”There’s another issue.”

Leonardy was unsure whether to bring it up, but given the circumstances, he couldn’t hold back. Speaking with a grave tone, he informed Mr. Zachmann, ”I just heard from Audrick that Nathalie’s academic status has been revoked by Juan Wilmar.”

”What?” Mr. Zachmann’s reaction was intense, and he visibly paled, ”What’s going on?”

Leonardy replied softly, ”I heard that the police station has been dragging their feet on setting the case, so Juan Wilmar used his connections to revoke Nathalie’s academic status...”

Mr. Zachmann’s forehead throbbed with anger, and he urgently said, ”Without her academic status, she can’t take the college entrance exam, and universities won’t accept her records...”

With Nathalie’s grades, having her academic status revoked was no joke!

That day, Celine Tucker wore a long silk velvet cheongsam with traditional Chinese buttons. As the weather was turning colder, she draped a shawl over her shoulders, presenting an air of elegance. Upon hearing this, her eyes flickered with disdain.

With Nathalie’s grades, wasn’t it a long shot for her to enter university anyway? Did revoking her academic status really make any difference?
