The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 513: Chapter 513: This is Too Crazy_1

He turned his head, genuinely worried about Nathalie Quinlan, and pondered, ”How do you plan to resolve this issue?”

Nathalie hadn’t rested well and her eyes were dry and uncomfortable. She simply opened the car window a bit wider and let the cold wind blow against her face. Hearing his question, she answered nonchalantly, ”Let’s wait and see.”

Wait and see?

What’s there to wait and see?

Owen Yapiter saw her nonchalant demeanor and felt more anxious than her, the party involved. He pursed his lips and asked her with a serious face, ”Do you want my help?”

The night air carried a chill, and after Nathalie took a breath of it, she began to have a headache. She closed the car window, and, as the pain in her temples was unbearable, she simply leaned back in her seat, bowed her head, massaged her temples, and replied with some irritation, ”That’s not what I meant.”

”?” Owen didn’t understand what she meant.

He said with concern, ”The Wilmar family doesn’t seem to want to make peace with you; they definitely will want an explanation from you. Ah, you don’t know the situation in Beijing.”

”This Jecksen Wilmar is Raymond Wilmar’s youngest son. He’s been spoiled rotten, and it’s not only about whether he will trouble you afterwards. Just the Wilmar family alone won’t let this go that easily. The Wilmar family is not to be trifled with...”

The Wilmar family is not to be trifled with.

Raymond Wilmar is even more infamous for being difficult.

Not only is his temper bad, but he’s also petty.

Anyone familiar with the situations of several families in Beijing wouldn’t want to provoke Raymond Wilmar. He has no compassion and would never go easy on Nathalie just because she is young and doesn’t know better.

Owen Yapiter had a soft spot for Nathalie Quinlan and after a brief consideration, he proposed, ”I’ll take a trip to Beijing tomorrow.”

”No need.”

Nathalie lifted her head, her eyes dark and wild, with a touch of weariness. She patiently explained to him, ”I mean to wait and see their attitude when they apologize before anything else, not that I’m afraid they will trouble me.”

”...” Owen Yapiter was silent for a second, thinking he had misheard. He observed Nathalie’s expression carefully. The girl in the hoodie had an indifferent look on her face, and it seemed she wasn’t joking.

He fell silent, temporarily at a loss for what expression to wear.

He always felt that whatever face he put on at the moment would somehow be inappropriate.

That was the Wilmar family!

Juan Wilmar and Ivy Wilmar wouldn’t dare to act recklessly in front of him, but he still needed to be cautious around Raymond Wilmar, not to mention that the senior Mr. Wilmar was still alive!

The Wilmar family was vast and influential. Calling them a prestigious family was no exaggeration. Nathalie had struck Jecksen Wilmar and not only was she unafraid, but she was also talking about waiting for Jecksen to apologize...

This was just too bold!

Owen Yapiter didn’t know what to say anymore and found himself at a loss for words.

Nathalie was about to explain to him that she had something on Jecksen Wilmar when her phone started ringing. She picked it up, visibly annoyed.

An unknown number.

She was not in a good mood today and didn’t want to answer these random calls, so she simply declined the call and put her phone aside.

She hadn’t rested well and just wanted to go back and get some sleep. Anything else could wait until tomorrow.

Suddenly, her abandoned phone rang again.

Nathalie was quite annoyed.

Owen Yapiter also noticed that her phone was ringing incessantly and asked curiously, ”Who is it that’s calling you nonstop so late at night?”

Nathalie saw it again, another unrecognizable number.

She picked up the phone with considerable irritation and said indifferently, ”I don’t know; it’s an unknown number.”

Owen knew how common spam calls were; his own phone number was regulated, and he still occasionally received nuisance calls, let alone ordinary numbers.
