The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 500: Chapter 500: The reason for arrogance is relying on ignorance_1

Under normal circumstances, Ivy Wilmar might have already lost her temper by now, but her opponent was too calm, a calmness that made her heart skip a beat, as if her opponent held something that could destroy Jecksen Wilmar’s life.

A sense of unease surged within her, and when she realized she was actually being led by the nose by a female high school student, she collected herself, a bit enraged and embarrassed, and scoffed, ”What if I don’t consider it? Jecksen Wilmar won’t apologize to your so-called Freddy Cagwin! Not to mention he didn’t do anything, but what if he did?”

”People are not born equal, you grew up in the Quinlan Family, you should know this without me teaching you.”

Her eyes and brows radiated a sense of superiority, speaking of Freddy Cagwin as if he were garbage on the ground, not worth mentioning.

”Even if Freddy Cagwin takes the college entrance exam and graduates from university, his life’s prospects are limited; he can’t cause much of a stir. It’s different for Jecksen Wilmar, the same stain on him would have a much greater impact, the life ruined would not be the same.”

”All lives are the same, what’s the difference?”

Nathalie Quinlan squinted her eyes, and from her expression, it seemed she might be aware of what Jecksen Wilmar had done to Freddy Cagwin. Her expression turned cold in an instant, she pursed her lips, and simply said, ”I think everyone is the same, two eyes, one nose, one mouth, they all have parents, family, their own dreams... Of course, Jecksen Wilmar might not have such a thing.”

She knew Freddy Cagwin had dreams; his dream was to get into a university, make something of himself, so that Aunt Cagwin wouldn’t have to work so hard at the market to make money, and after making something of himself, to meet more people, help Uncle Cagwin find better doctors, dream of Uncle Cagwin getting back on his feet, and their days getting better and better...

These dreams might not be worth mentioning in Ivy Wilmar’s eyes, but in her eyes, Freddy Cagwin’s dreams were far more important than what’s called the stain on Jecksen Wilmar’s life.

”Mrs. Wilmar, since we have different views, there’s no need to force the conversation.”

She leaned back in the chair, her body relaxed, a trace of fatigue on her face, and impatience laced her brows; her attitude was very firm: ”I’ll repeat what I said, Jecksen Wilmar apologizes to Freddy Cagwin, revoke Freddy Cagwin’s punishment, and I’m willing to give you and Uncle Sullivan face, settling this matter. After all, I also hit him, let’s call it even. If you’re not willing, then we’ll proceed with legal measures.”

”I believe in the eyes of the law, everyone is equal.”

Ivy Wilmar walked out of the Interrogation Room looking grim.

She gripped the strap of her handbag, unable to regain her composure.

She had gone in there intending to intimidate Nathalie Quinlan, to make her confess, but she hadn’t expected her to be so tough, not only turning the tables on her, but also talking about ’equality before the law’?

Ha, Ivy Wilmar was almost bursting with anger.

However, she inexplicably felt restless, sensing that Nathalie Quinlan was a bit too confident. Even if the Zachmann Family was supporting her, did she really think nobody was above her, no sky was higher?

In McKinney, the Zachmann Family was a top-notch family, but not so much in Beijing. Only Mr. Zachmann himself was somewhat formidable, but even he couldn’t save her this time.

”How did it go, did she confess?” Juan Wilmar saw her come out looking dazed and hurried over to ask her.

Ivy Wilmar took a deep breath, thinking she had been overthinking things. What kind of people could Nathalie Quinlan know? Her arrogance and defiance were simply due to ignorance, unaware of the stakes involved.

”No, she’s very arrogant, demanding Jecksen Wilmar to apologize to her classmate.” She said this with an ironic curve to her lips.
