The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 491: Chapter 491: Nathalie, we don’t have to be this honest_1

At the police station, Nathalie Quinlan sat calmly in her chair, sending a message to Owen Yapiter that she had assaulted someone, asking him to come to the station and bail her out when he was free.

After sending the message, she didn’t look at the messages from Shawn Norton and Silvania Ingram, carelessly placing her phone on the table. She looked up and said evenly to the junior officer in front of her, ”Alright, I’m done sending messages. Go ahead and ask.”

This attitude certainly didn’t look like that of someone who had just committed assault in the street; she was the spitting image of a boss!

Junior officer: ”...”

The situation was tricky, and no one wanted to get involved. He had just been assigned here and had already encountered such a troubling incident. According to the unspoken rules of the workplace, it naturally fell on him to record the transcript. Before he came in, Mr. Cadwell had given him a heads up to just write it down casually, it was a minor issue, and to try not to blow it out of proportion...

He wasn’t stupid, he could figure out what that meant.

After a brief moment of distraction, he held his pen and coughed twice feigning nonchalance to cover his embarrassment, then asked in a warm voice, ”Name.”

”Isn’t it written in your records?” Nathalie’s eyebrows and eyes were defiant, leaning back in her chair, her demeanor calm yet arrogant, showing an attitude like she was a pig unafraid of boiling water.

”...”

The junior officer’s mouth twitched. When he came in, he had provided her with a document, which she had filled out very cooperatively, quickly jotting down her name and phone number—they were all there, and he had certainly seen the name written flamboyantly on the record.

Nathalie Quinlan.

Black text on a white background, written with vigor.

He was just asking as part of the procedure...

”This is our procedure. Please cooperate with us.”

Luckily, Nathalie didn’t give him a hard time. Lazily leaning back in her chair, she lifted her eyelids; those eyes were dark and deep, and she cooperatively replied, ”Nathalie Quinlan.”

”Age.”

”18.”

”Are you still in school?”

The junior officer breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly continued asking, ”Why did you assault someone?”

By the time they arrived at the scene, Jecksen Wilmar had already been beaten to a pulp, lying on the ground like a dead man. If it weren’t for his occasional groans, they would have thought that Jecksen had been beaten to death.

And there was Nathalie, standing beside him, showing no intention of running after the assault, looking utterly calm as if she was waiting for them to arrive.

She was... extremely defiant and wild!

Nathalie’s eyes were deep and heavy, as if hiding stormy seas shrouded by the dark night. She narrowed her eyes, leaned back in her chair, her hands hanging by her sides, and said lightly, ”No reason in particular. Probably because I couldn’t stand seeing innocent people wrongly accused while those who should be held accountable act like nothing happened. Got an itch in my hand, so I sent him to the hospital for a few days’ rest.”

”...” The junior officer’s pen-holding hand stopped, and the ink from the tip of the pen formed a blot on the paper; he couldn’t bring himself to write, and with a mournful expression, he looked at the fearless girl and said grudgingly, ”That... Nathalie, we don’t have to be so honest!”

Nathalie leaned in her chair, understanding his intention, but she didn’t take the assault on Jecksen seriously. She flicked her eyelids, her eyes mischievous and wild, still in the mood to smile, ”Ah. Sorry, I’m used to being honest. Just write it down like that.”

Did Jecksen Wilmar like to bully others with his power?

She was eager to see what the Wilmar Family would do to her after she had beaten Jecksen.

At the station, Simon Cadwell was racking his brains about how to minimize the impact of the incident when he heard a junior officer come in from outside saying, ”Deputy Chief, Mr. Wilmar’s car is outside. It seems like Mr. Wilmar has arrived.”
