The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 455: Chapter 455: You’re Not Going to Eat Here as Well, Are You?_1

Ghania Quinlan didn’t go to the restroom after leaving the private room; she was in a bad mood, aimlessly walking in the corridors of the Imperial Hotel for some fresh air.

Her phone rang at this moment, she checked the message, and it was from Myles Sullivan, asking how her exams went.

She looked at the text message but did not reply immediately.

It wasn’t until Myles Sullivan sent a second message that she pulled her thoughts back from distraction and roughly explained the situation of her interview, including Mr. Norton’s rejection and Professor Derliand’s suggestion that she minor in finance.

Not long after she sent the text message, Myles Sullivan’s phone call quickly followed.

Ghania Quinlan relied entirely on her uncle to be able to stay in Beijing and didn’t dare show the slightest negligence, so when she saw the phone call, she immediately found a quiet corner.

”Hello, Uncle.”

Her voice was anxious, knowing full well that Myles Sullivan was busy and couldn’t possibly go to Tsinghua University to ask for her results, yet she feared that he might whimsically call the school, and if he by any chance found out about Nathalie Quinlan’s results...

Ghania Quinlan didn’t dare to think further, only able to place her hope on the one in ten thousand chance, hoping like Zayn Fisher said, that it was Zeus Tanzil who got it wrong, misread the name, or it was just another person with the same name.

But she wasn’t sure, biting her lip, her eyes shimmering with unease, and without waiting for Myles Sullivan to speak, she asked as if possessed by a ghost, ”Uncle, I heard that Nathalie is taking an airplane back to McKinney tomorrow afternoon, is that true?”

”Why are you suddenly asking about this, did you run into her?” Myles Sullivan’s background was quite noisy on the other end, seeming to be surrounded by many people.

Ghania Quinlan was preoccupied, not paying attention to what those people were saying.

Fearing that Myles Sullivan might notice something, she bit her lip and immediately denied, ”No. I just suddenly remembered this.”

Myles Sullivan had seen the text message she sent him and knew she had successfully gotten into Tsinghua University, so he didn’t mind answering her in a very casual tone, ”She messaged me saying so; she probably didn’t pass her exams and is rushing back to attend classes. But with the college entrance exam around the corner, it’s not wrong for her to go back and take classes. If she doesn’t pass the joint entrance examination, and then doesn’t pass the college entrance examination, her future prospects are bleak.”

The Zachmann Family still has Caryn Zachmann, and Nathalie... after all, is just a child who was brought back.

And her grades aren’t good either.

As Myles Sullivan said this, his demeanor slightly softened on the phone, and in a gentle voice, he said to her, ”You did well this time. Professor Derliand wants you to minor in finance, so study hard under him. With his wide connections, as long as he favors you, you will have your day.”

Ghania Quinlan knew this without him having to tell her, and she held the phone to her ear, softly ’mhm’-ing in response.

Myles Sullivan also said, ”You don’t have to worry too much about Mr. Norton for now; if it didn’t work out this time, there will be other opportunities.”

Zayn Fisher had said similar things to her, and Ghania Quinlan, being sensible and obedient, lowered her gaze, ”Uncle, I didn’t lose heart because Mr. Norton rejected me. As long as there’s a chance, I will still try to get Mr. Norton to listen to my work.”

Myles Sullivan appreciated her stubbornness, even if her talents seemed less promising than Nathalie’s, he had chosen her in the end.

Hearing her say this, he comforted her with a few words, praising her for doing well in the exams and mentioning he would buy her a gift sometime.

Ghania Quinlan obediently listened, occasionally chiming in to agree with him.

Myles Sullivan seemed very busy and, although he initiated the call to her, he hung up after just a few words.

Having finished the phone call, Ghania Quinlan took a deep breath to prepare to return to the private room. Just as she took her eyes away, she suddenly spotted a familiar figure in the corner of her eye.

”Justin Wafford?” she said in surprise, standing still.

What was Justin Wafford doing here?

An odd thought popped into Ghania Quinlan’s mind—Nathalie couldn’t possibly be here dining as well, could she?
