The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Nathalie’s Second Identity_1

As soon as the bid of 10 million came from the B01 box downstairs, the whole place erupted.

”Amadeus, it’s been checked.”

Alfred Garland swiftly returned to the B02 box.

”Who is it?” Richardo Fisher didn’t win the bid and was struggling to save face, his handsome features contorted with displeasure.

Alfred Garland didn’t look at him but reported directly to Amadeus Yancey, ”The buyer in the box next door is Silvania Ingram, the CEO of Pinecone Group.”

”Pinecone Group?” Amadeus Yancey fell into deep thought, touching the Buddhist beads on his wrist. His fingertips rubbed over the smooth beads, his gaze narrowing slightly, ”What does she want with Flesh Ganoderma?”

”This... I don’t know.”

Pinecone Group had a big reputation in Beijing, initially seeming to have made their fortune through diamonds. After settling in Beijing, the company transitioned to industrial operations and invested in numerous projects.

Their cinemas were the most outstanding.

They held 30% of the country’s cinema chains in their grip.

The Ingram Family had a bit of a name in Beijing. Unfortunately, their internal disputes over the inheritance were so fierce that they had gradually declined over the years.

It was once thought that Silvania Ingram, who was expelled from the Ingram Family by her brothers, would fall from grace. Yet, she managed a comeback against all odds, leading the Pinecone Group to resurgence, while the once invincible Ingram Family was the one to fall into decline!

Richardo Fisher had apparently heard of Pinecone Group. He was taken aback for a moment before leaning over to Amadeus Yancey and saying, ”Pinecone Group? I remember my brother’s girlfriend’s family has a good relationship with their company. In recent years, many of their cinema lines were contracted to the Quinlan Family to build.”

The auctioneer was about to bring down the gavel.

Richardo Fisher turned back and said, ”Continuing to bid like this is pointless. Tomorrow I’ll have his girlfriend’s father talk to the CEO of Pinecone Group to see if she is willing to part with the Flesh Ganoderma for us.”

”10 million for the second time!”

The auctioneer started to call out, ”This is your last chance, if anyone else is bidding, hurry up, it will be final once the hammer falls.”

”10 million for the third time!”

The hammer came down heavily, signifying the final ownership of the Flesh Ganoderma.

Alfred Garland had never seen Amadeus at a disadvantage before and wished he could capture the moment on his phone, but he didn’t dare to do so.

Something Amadeus wanted but couldn’t get! This was a first.

Silvania Ingram of Pinecone Group was impressive!

Amadeus Yancey stood up, glanced at the auction below, brushed the creases on his clothes, his handsome face betraying no emotion, ”Forget it. Flesh Ganoderma isn’t exclusive to this place; we can just buy it next time we come across it.”

”I have other matters to attend to, I’ll be leaving.” It was time for the little girl to get out of school.

He picked up the nicotine inhaler from the table and left first.

...

On the other side, Silvania Ingram got what she wanted. A smile appeared on her face as she said to Nathalie Quinlan, ”I’ll go make the payment.”

”Hmm.” Nathalie Quinlan looked down at the time on her phone, packed up her belongings, stood up, and said to her, ”It’s almost time for school to let out; Mrs. Ingram, please handle the rest, I’m going to head back now.”

Silvania Ingram was used to her independence and waved her off, ”Alright, go ahead. I’ll bring the item to your clinic once I have it.”

”Okay.” Nathalie Quinlan nodded, casually slinging her single shoulder bag over her body, pulled her hat brim low to cover her exquisite face, exposing only her chin.

Having been to Lowie Wilmar’s auction house before, Nathalie Quinlan knew the drill. As the auction ended and people began to leave, she merged with the crowd and headed out.

The sun was about to set outside, with the afterglow spilling onto the road. She pursed her lips, walked absent-mindedly, glanced at her phone, and found no missed calls.

She was about to hail a car to the school when she heard a seductive voice.

”Nathalie Quinlan?”
