The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 20: Chapter 20: Did you say Nathalie?_1

”First, take the person to the hospital,” Amadeus Yancey murmured in a low voice.

Then the girl, drenched from head to toe, walked to the side, bent over to pick up her single-strap backpack, and seemed to be leaving.

Just because The Sun is strong in summer doesn’t mean the breeze isn’t cold.

”Nathalie.”

Amadeus Yancey called out to her, took off his coat, and forcefully draped it over her shoulders. He then grasped her slender pale wrist and said, ”Where are you going? I’ll take you to the hospital.”

Her skin was so fair that any mark on it was particularly conspicuous.

Amadeus Yancey almost immediately noticed the bloodstain on her neck.

The trace of broken skin was too prominent against her snow-white nape.

”Is that wound on your neck from Edric scratching you?”

He knew that child?

Nathalie touched her neck, felt the stickiness on her hand, and saw that it was bleeding again, ”The child got scared after falling into the water; it’s not very serious, no need for a hospital.”

”Let me see your hand,” Amadeus Yancey firmly held onto her wrist, forcibly opened her palm, and the fresh red color on her porcelain-like palm caught his eye. His lips pressed together tightly, and his blood-thirsty eyes were now deep and solemn: ”To the hospital!”

Nathalie couldn’t twist free from his grip, her temples throbbed, her eyes full of resistance and irritability: ”It’s just a small injury, I just need some Erythromycin from the pharmacy.”

Because of Ghania Quinlan’s illness, she had been to the hospital too many times before, and had long been weary of it!

Amadeus Yancey didn’t have a negotiating attitude at all, his blood-thirsty and arrogant handsome face showed no intention of allowing refusal, holding her hand without letting go: ”Go to the hospital or I call your grandfather, choose one.”

Nathalie: ”?”

Is he crazy?

On the outskirts of the crowd, Audrick Zachmann also hurried over.

”Excuse me, please make way.”

He pushed through the group and at a glance saw the man standing out in the crowd, currently holding a girl’s wrist. That girl’s strikingly pale skin stood out, her beautiful legs both thin and straight. Her outfit looked somewhat familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere before...

As Audrick Zachmann approached, he immediately recognized that refined and delicate face, and with surprise brimming in his peach blossom eyes, he blurted out: ”Nathalie? What are you doing here?”

Nathalie hadn’t expected him to come too, and now it wasn’t just a headache she was feeling; her lower abdomen also began to ache faintly, perhaps from being in the water too long.

What was going on today, had she not checked the almanac before leaving the house?

”Amadeus,” Audrick Zachmann greeted Amadeus Yancey, but his entire focus was on Nathalie Quinlan. Upon seeing her utterly drenched and pale, he immediately became anxious: ”What’s going on between you two, why is Nathalie soaking wet? And there’s a scratch on her neck. Sigh~”

Audrick Zachmann was overwhelmed, and he was grateful that the old man and his father weren’t present; otherwise, they would definitely kill him if they saw Nathalie like this!

He looked around the vicinity, puzzled, and asked Amadeus Yancey: ”Amadeus, where is Edric?”

Edric Yancey had fallen into the water, so why wasn’t he looking worried?

Amadeus Yancey felt the struggle of the person he was holding, his eye sockets deepening, he quietly let go of her hand, his demeanor elegant as he said: ”Alfred Garland has taken him to the hospital.”

”Is he alright?” Audrick Zachmann was severely anxious.

The Yancey family’s precious little treasure, if nothing serious happened, that would be a relief; but if something did happen, McKinney would be turned upside down!

Amadeus Yancey glanced to the side inadvertently, yet Nathalie Quinlan felt his gaze intensely aggressive as it landed on her.

This made Nathalie Quinlan frown, and now her stomach seemed to ache even more.

What bad luck, could it be that her period was about to start?

”He’s fine. Nathalie rescued Edric in time and even gave him first aid,” Amadeus Yancey spoke in a calm tone, his voice low and magnetic.
