Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 347: Chapter 130: Picking Up at the Airport_4

When it was time to leave, he could easily take it with him from such a close distance.

So, after Chen Ming’s two consecutive requests were rejected, and he was superficially calmed down by Brilliant.

Although Chen Ming said he would pretend to be lazy and no longer help Dusk with tasks, becoming a leech.

He was still working and studying as usual every day.

He also discovered that the work area of the research institute was repaired in overtime shifts, and the adjacent experiment and research areas were available for use.

However, the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor inside was moved one night.

The relocated position was still underground in the research institute.

Chen Ming didn’t mind this. Anyway, Dusk could do whatever he wanted with that equipment; If it could be started when needed, it would count as his loss.

In these days, besides studying, working, and secretly cooperating with Brilliant and Gamma Z on other matters.

He was also researching new scientific projects.

Previously, he had developed a multi-layer Shield in combination with the Iron Ore No., which for some unknown reason acted on its own and could use his Spiritual Energy.

This succeeded in allowing a Frigate-level ship to withstand attacks from a Cruiser’s large weapon.

Although it mainly relied on Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy, the Shield indeed worked.

Otherwise, the Shield of the Iron Ore No. would have been shattered in the first attack, making it impossible for a second deflective opportunity or a third chance to help the research institute and Chen Ming withstand attacks.

Thus, Chen Ming realized the importance of a Shield, so researching was necessary.

Finding a way to launch a new high-strength Shield is a must; however, the current research ideas are still being planned and require some time.

But currently, Chen Ming’s main task is learning, specifically learning some additional colony technology-related industrial production techniques provided by Brilliant.

Chen Ming has talked with Brilliant about his future plans, and Brilliant supports the idea of a colony.

Brilliant also knows about the effects of Chen Ming’s abilities.

Thus, equipment techniques that are difficult to move with Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy, or too complex for Brilliant to produce personally, or with lengthy production processes, are entrusted to Chen Ming to learn.

When the time comes, Chen Ming’s manufacturing capability, which hasn’t been fully utilized, will be put to use.

Everything seems to be moving in a positive direction.

And today, the eighth day since Chen Ming and Dusk had a falling out, with both knowing that the other must have some ideas in mind.

Early in the morning, the factory manager contacted Chen Ming using a terminal previously prepared by him, with full permissions in Chen Ming’s hands.

The manager said the boss had returned and even sent over an extra terminal that Chen Ming had prepared earlier.

The factory manager and the boss have enough reason to meet without exposing anything about Chen Ming.

So Chen Ming contacted the boss directly.

The boss, lying as usual behind the hardware store counter, noticed the terminal brought over by the factory manager start to vibrate.

A hint of relief appeared on his face, and he directly said to the terminal, ”Xiao Ming, I just heard a few days ago that you were dead, still alive, huh?”

”Just lucky, but no, can’t really call it luck. Back then, I was being chased by people from the Star Zone Military, and a Ruler was blocking me.”

”Now I’ve fled to Dusk’s place, and again, a Ruler comes to kill me; this really doesn’t count as being lucky.”

The boss obviously hadn’t expected such a strange coincidence.

But thinking of Chen Ming talking with him now without trouble, he just smiled and continued, ”At least you’re still alive, right? And it seems you have your own way to escape.”

”Yes, although my previous plans were ruined by a sneak attack from the Fourteenth Legion, I’ve already set up a new method.”

The boss didn’t ask how Chen Ming planned to escape but directly got to the point.

”Then, what’s your plan after you get out?”
