Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 312: Chapter 122: Broken Connection, Sudden Change_3

However, Chen Ming had just leaped up to evacuate.

An electromagnetic pulse swept over his body.

The exoskeleton system was instantly paralyzed, and Chen Ming fell straight from mid-air.

Fortunately, when Chen Ming underwent the transformation, he had modified the buffering system well enough, so this fall did not injure him.

Instead, he took the opportunity of rolling on the ground to repair the exoskeleton again.

Without a moment’s hesitation, he continued rushing towards the outside of the research institute.

At this moment, besides escaping, Chen Ming was also pondering a question in his mind.

Why did Dusk suddenly erupt without any sign?

No, that’s not right.

There were signs, actually.

Through Iron Ore No., Chen Ming glanced at space once more.

A massive battle was still unfolding there.

The early arrival of the Fourteenth Legion had provoked Dusk, forcing them to activate the spiritual energy devices before reaching their limit.

This didn’t require much thought from Chen Ming anymore; anyone who knew about Chen Ming’s previous request to Bai Quan for a pre-action notice, and the recent actions of the Fourteenth Legion, could see the issue.

He immediately contacted Gamma Z, and through his consciousness, sent over his current status instantly.

At the same time, he told Gamma Z, who currently had the ability to rescue him, ”Activate the emergency protocol, and if necessary, abandon concealment, prioritize me as the highest priority.”

Gamma Z required no worry from Chen Ming, as it would naturally do its duty.

After contacting Gamma Z, Chen Ming then reached out to the Fourteenth Legion.

However, he didn’t have much time now, so he directly set up an automatic recording to be sent upon connection.

”Bai Quan, if you can’t provide immediate aid then let the refractive-class Dusk cruiser that arrived behind jump, that cruiser has special markings on it.”

After doing all this.

Chen Ming suddenly froze, and once again repaired the exoskeleton armor on his body, which had been damaged by the ongoing electromagnetic pulse device.

At this moment, outside the research institute, there suddenly came the sound of a violent explosion and the shattering of glass material.

This was the Iron Ore No. controlled by Chen Ming crashing through the dome.

The next moment, Iron Ore No. directly blasted open the doors of the research institute.

Landing not far from the entrance.

After Iron Ore No. stabilized, Chen Ming immediately activated the positioning signal he had previously agreed upon with Bai Quan.

At the same time, he included a string of Morse code in the positioning signal, with the content identical to what he had just communicated.

He then turned around, raised his right arm, and blocked it in front of himself.

Metallic liquid flowed down from the exterior of Iron Ore No., wrapping around his arm.

These metallic liquids gradually formed a heavy arm guard.

The armor on the arm guard slowly began to expand, forming a small shield.

And the shield continued to grow until it constructed a large shield that fully protected Chen Ming.

It didn’t stop there; the metallic liquid from Iron Ore No. kept expanding, covering the entire corridor before it stopped, coagulating into a solid White Cloud Steel wall.

Completely separating Chen Ming from the robots on the other side.

”This should buy some time.”

Chen Ming quickly unassembled the arm guard on his arm, which had been transformed by him into a wall.

In the ongoing battle against the electromagnetic pulse that kept disrupting the exoskeleton armor power system, he moved towards the spaceship outside.

During this process, Chen Ming noticed that there was no response on the communication from the Fourteenth Legion.

Also, it was uncertain if the positioning signal from Iron Ore No. had been received by the Fourteenth Legion in space.

Chen Ming was increasingly feeling that something was seriously wrong.

Bai Quan didn’t seem like someone who would lie, but Chen was supposed to be notified before they took action.

But now, not only was there no notification, even though the rescuers had reached his star system, there wasn’t a single communication.

This situation, if not bizarre, was completely incomprehensible.

Moreover, if Chen’s guess was correct, there should have already been some actions taken in the place he had previously been.

As for Gamma A... No, Gamma A has been running around with Radiant during this period, unable to provide intelligence on that star system for Chen.

And Gamma B was also elsewhere, with no opportunity to acquire related information.

Only those Dusk controlled by Chen that wandered in from other star realms could provide Chen with information here.

But they wouldn’t actively contact Chen unless they were damaged or encountered some incident.

Only by looking over now could he see, through a few Dusks that happened to be in the star system’s space, the battle that was occurring in the star system.

At this time, there was a main ship marked with the Sinda Corporation insignia that was utterly decimating Dusk’s fleet in the star system with overwhelming might.

This main ship was not designed like an ordinary spaceship.

Because along a long slot from the prow to the mid-rear part of the ship, there was a huge groove that seemed intended for installing something.

However, currently, there were no weapons installed in this massive slot, leaving it empty.

Instead, two primary weapons, seemingly specially designed and located on the port side, were this main ship’s primary means of output.

Or rather, it only had two main weapons on the port side as the principal output means.

This main ship, though symmetrically designed, fought in a manner reminiscent of ancient naval battleships with side cannons for output.
