Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 324: Chapter 125: Reverse Absorption, Growth of Spiritual Energy

When Chen Ming saw this scene, he couldn’t exactly say he was angry; there was just a suppressed emotion building up inside him.

Since the day he talked with Bai Quan, everything the Fourteenth Legion had done so far felt to him like they were putting on a show.

Although it seemed like they did a lot of preparations, and indeed had a fight with Dusk.

But in reality, they haven’t done a single substantial thing.

No contact, no plan, no action.

Chen Ming only saw the explosions of spaceships in space, not even a shadow of the rescue troops and ships that were supposed to land on the planet.

No, they seemed to have done one thing after all.

And that was when they couldn’t beat Dusk and were preparing to retreat, they fired three shots at Chen Ming, who was supposed to be the rescue target.

It must be said this was truly top-tier rescue.

Even someone like Chen Ming, with no tactical training, could think of better approaches than the Fourteenth Legion.

Like contacting him first to get some information, while also preparing for the rescue.

Then the fleet of the Fourteenth Legion could head straight for the star system based on his information, dealing with the relatively scattered positional fleet within the system the moment they arrive through transition.

Meanwhile, directly dispatch landing troops to the planet, find Chen Ming based on the coordinates, and quickly transfer him onto ships above cruiser level.

Then a jump, and the mission would be over.

If they moved fast enough, Dusk might not even have time to react.

But this time, the actions of the Fourteenth Legion were strange, as if their goal wasn’t to rescue Chen Ming.

Inexplicably, they clashed with Dusk’s main ship fleet.

Chen Ming, relying on those controlled Dusk forces who had already fled here, could confirm there were no main ship-level ships within the star system.

This means the few radiation level main ships of Dusk confronting the Fourteenth Legion were transitioning from other star systems.

But under normal circumstances, it’s quite normal for Dusk to prepare a pair of main ships that can support various star systems at any time.

Yet, throughout the battle, Dusk appeared with a total of four main ships.

This was undoubtedly a result of the Fourteenth Legion delaying too long in battle.

However, a rescue mission really shouldn’t have resulted in a battle of this scale, and Chen Ming genuinely couldn’t understand why it happened.

Chen Ming took a deep breath, and after pondering, decided to let it go; if he couldn’t understand, then he couldn’t understand.

He didn’t care about what happened to others anymore.

He just wanted to do three things: find out who planned the foolish scheme, who gave the order to attack him, and make those two people pay for what they did.

Chen Ming subconsciously wanted to jot down new notes in his memo on Iron Ore No.’s computer.

But then he suddenly realized that Iron Ore No. was gone.

Suppressing a sudden surge of irritation, all Chen Ming could do now was keep these things in his mind.

Meanwhile, he continued to watch the contents of the black box.

To see what eventually happened with those three shells that didn’t destroy the research facility, and how Iron Ore No. was destroyed.

So far, it seemed that Dusk had no way of stopping the Gauss cannon shells that were already overhead.

But the fact that Chen Ming was still alive indicated that something must have happened during that time to prevent the Gauss shells from hitting the target.

Could it be that Dusk still had some fallback?

While harboring such doubts, Chen Ming witnessed the most unexpected situation.

From the moment he fell unconscious, the paralyzed Iron Ore No. suddenly started moving autonomously.

Chen Ming’s mind instantly tightened.

He felt not only surprised but also tense and incredulous.

The sudden movement of Iron Ore No. seemed like a dangerous situation to him.

Because with his capabilities, even while unconscious.

Unless someone personally boarded the ship, utilizing the ship’s electronic devices and mechanical systems to manually control it.

Otherwise, any external means, like hacking, couldn’t possibly break through the highest authority he held.

And clearly, Dusk had no opportunity to board Iron Ore No., nor dared to because of Chen Ming’s capabilities.

The Fourteenth Legion, even less so.

What caused this?

Chen Ming frowned as he watched the rest of the recording.

And as expected, Iron Ore No. was ultimately destroyed by the Fourteenth Legion’s Gauss cannon.

In fact, the moment Iron Ore No. took off, Chen Ming already had such a suspicion, and the subsequent recording merely confirmed it.

Chen Ming didn’t care much; after all, he had already etched these things in his heart, and he would definitely seek revenge if given the chance.

For now, he needed to check for any traces left by Iron Ore No.’s actions to ensure there wouldn’t be any safety issues with the ship under his control.

Chen Ming found the relevant information almost instantly.

However, he then discovered that the command prompting Iron Ore No. to act after his unconsciousness appeared out of nowhere within the ship’s computer, with no source.

Just like the commands Chen Ming usually sent remotely to Iron Ore No.

But this time, he had already passed out.

So that meant the order came from Iron Ore No. itself.

At this moment, Chen Ming suddenly remembered the visions in his dreams during his unconsciousness.
