Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 319: Chapter 123 Bad Choice_5

At this moment, the Legion Level had already entered an emergency radiation discharge state, with the rear portals wide open.

Within the internal command communication channel, especially the highest-level command communication channel, a sudden silence fell.

Only the Speed Particle Technology captain remained, his face ashen, uttering two words: ”Fool!”

The Speed Particle Technology captain had previously known Zhang Feng, who currently serves as the actual commander, and he understood that Zhang Feng’s capabilities could not make such foolish decisions.

The only explanation was an order from the nominal commander himself.

This Radiation Level, which flashed here, had no hesitation and also activated its two Microsievert Level Light Radiation Cannons.

Two beams of light swept across the battle line again, and a series of explosions occurred in the fire that almost spanned across the human side’s battle line, visible from the planet behind Dusk.

A full third of the United Fleet’s ships vanished into space due to this foolish operation.

The current battle at the main ship level primarily depends on two aspects to determine victory.

One is whether the main ship can withstand the pressure, and the other is whether the small ships accompanying the battle can suppress the opponent, preventing their main ship from being attacked by small ships.

If the main ship fails to hold up, the remaining small ships become mere debris in the eyes of the opponent’s main ship.

If the small ships are suppressed by the opponent, it equates to letting the opponent concentrate fire on our main ship.

Even the strongest ships, when concentrated upon, cannot escape disaster.

And here, within the United Fleet, significant issues have already appeared on the small ships.

This wave of loss cannot be called a mere injury; it can only be considered as total defeat.

The battle has inevitably started to tilt toward Dusk.

The United Fleet itself is invading Dusk’s territory, with only a limited number. The loss of one is one less ship.

But Dusk is different; their homeland is right here, with continuous support.

Even an exchange ratio of one for two is a loss, not to mention a unilateral near one-third loss.

This is why Zhang Feng has been planning for fleet retreat, preparing to secure more substantial gains later.

Unexpectedly, Tang Shi made an ill-considered move.

Exposing the most vulnerable part of our forces to the enemy.

Zhang Feng’s face turned increasingly ashen, while Tang Shi gradually regained composure after his decision, realizing how foolish his decision had been.

Sweating profusely, Tang Shi glanced at the fleets and environment within the star system displayed on the sensor, understanding the United Fleet was doomed.

Although the follow-up plan to raid Kleitka still had potential to proceed.

However, one mistake would mean losing at least half of the ships, potentially including the main ship.

They couldn’t do anything else, they had to leave.

Zhang Feng gradually calmed himself down, ignored Tang Shi beside him, and organized the fleet swiftly on the command channel to adjust formation.

While withstanding the pressure from Dusk, he managed to take down the Radiation Level that arrived through the Flashing Engine.

But another Radiation Level that arrived by teleportation engine successfully escaped the United Fleet’s encirclement.

As this Dusk joined the frontline, the United Fleet had already been unable to withstand the pressure from the ordinary ships of Dusk.

Zhang Feng could only say on the command channel: ”Prepare to retreat.”

However, before leaving the star system, he had one last thing to do.

Zhang Feng noticed Chen Ming’s signal emitter on the control panel continually sending out coordinate signals.

The pressure-free Tang Shi immediately realized what he intended to do, saying: ”This should only be done as a last resort.”

Zhang Feng interrupted him directly, his voice low and predatory: ”Isn’t this the last resort now? Don’t forget our original purpose.”

He turned a blind eye to Tang Shi and continued doing what he intended to do.

Soon, within the United Fleet.

A Ruler, which had been grazed by the Microsievert Level Light Radiation Cannon’s ray earlier and was lucky enough to only suffer partial hull damage, suddenly stopped retreating with the fleet. Instead, it suddenly activated the teleportation engine at a dangerous distance.

Dusk wanted to stop this sudden and strange operation but was immediately blocked by other warships of the United Fleet acting on Zhang Feng’s orders.

Ultimately, this Ruler disappeared from the fleet.

And the destination of this Ruler’s teleportation was no other place than behind Dusk’s line, just like those two Radiation Levels earlier.

The moment the teleportation ended, the Ruler Level activated its remaining three large Gauss Cannons capable of long-range precision attacks.

Aiming at the planet’s transmitted coordinate signal, the Ruler fired.

It fired only one round before being directly destroyed by Dusk’s fleet.

But the three oversized massive projectiles fired by the Gauss Cannon were already heading towards the planet without an atmosphere.

Dusk’s defense systems on the planet had no time to prepare against the almost suicidal attack of the Ruler that nearly teleported face-first.

The three Gauss Cannon shells precisely flew toward the research institute, which was still sending out coordinates externally.
