Chapter 302: Chapter 120: Controlled Dusk in Expansion, Ongoing Joint Conference

The days passed uneventfully and busily for a week.

However, during this period, the Gallo Star Realm and the Dusk Star Realm were far from as peaceful as Chen Ming experienced every day.

Amidst his daily work and research, Chen Ming kept a close eye on several places that might see significant activity next.

These included the buffer zone between the Dusk Star Realm and the Gallo Star Realm.

According to Gamma B’s investigation this week.

From the day after Chen Ming had a conversation with Bai Quan of the Fourteenth Legion,

a large number of reconnaissance drones or small fleets began infiltrating into the Dusk Star Realm through this buffer zone.

These drones or fleets had no intention of clashing with the pursuing Dusk Fleet and would immediately flee upon discovery.

If a drone couldn’t escape, it would even choose to self-destruct on the spot, giving no chance for the Dusk Fleet to capture it.

Meanwhile, those human ships that went unnoticed continued to penetrate deeper into the Dusk Star Realm.

The Dusk could only send out large numbers of ships to barely counter these vessels, but it was only a temporary solution.

Humans continually expended vast resources to send more ships into the buffer zone, with the clear objective of penetrating further and transmitting more intelligence back.

This situation persisted for about two days.

On the border between Dusk and the Mechanical Race, near the star system where Gamma Z resided, a similar large number of human ships appeared.

They departed from the Empire, traversing the entire Dusk and Mechanical Race buffer zone, and began scattering from different positions, gradually infiltrating Dusk’s territory similarly.

Even though Dusk had a highly developed semi-military, semi-industrial planet due to years of conflict with the Mechanical Race.

Any ship attempting to enter the Dusk Star Realm would face a head-on assault.

But with the current large-scale invasion by humans sparing no cost, Dusk couldn’t completely block the human ships on the outside.

For humans seemingly only intent on gathering intelligence, they only needed to get drones equipped with one-time high-intensity signal transmitters across Dusk’s defenses briefly.

Continuously infiltrating, recording, and conducting high-intensity scans of various planets, transmitting back geographical features, various structures, and activities.

The content of the intelligence transmitted back didn’t matter at all.

Because they had already learned Chen Ming’s location earlier.

Such a large-scale investigative action was clearly meant to disrupt Dusk’s judgment, to make Dusk believe they were still unaware of Chen Ming’s location, and thereby lower their guard.

Additionally, this action had another implication: the Fourteenth Legion was commencing the final preparations before their rescue mission.

The act of continually diverting Dusk’s attention was part of the preparation.

According to Gamma B’s investigation and the information sent from Gamma A, who was currently always with Radiant, Chen Ming could see.

The humans seemed intentionally or unintentionally directing these reconnaissance drones and ships toward the star system where Chen Ming had previously stayed.

This was another method to mislead Dusk into making wrong judgments.

After all, the humans wouldn’t possibly have zero leads on Chen Ming; if they had clues, there must be an eventual target.

Thus, the star system Chen Ming had left previously conveniently served as bait laid by humans for Dusk.

All these signs indicated that the Fourteenth Legion would undertake significant actions before the arrival of the Spiritual Ability Device in seven days.

The target was unmistakably near Chen Ming’s current location.

Although human activities appeared to have little impact on Chen Ming’s star system.

Given the distance, responding and preparing still required time, and Chen Ming was certainly more crucial than a colony.

But since the Fourteenth Legion planned to act this way, they were likely considering all aspects of Dusk and anticipating various responses from Dusk.

So since Chen Ming wasn’t a professional combatant, it was best to trust them to handle this kind of matter.

After all, he hadn’t placed all his eggs in one basket.

If the Fourteenth Legion’s rescue encountered unforeseen issues, Chen Ming had alternative routes to take.

Therefore, when Chen Ming learned from Gamma B that humans were beginning to penetrate the Dusk Star Realm from the Dusk Mechanical Race’s buffer zone, and tasks seeking human fleets were appearing in Gamma Z’s usual assignments from Dusk for independent Dusk entities.

To be safe, he sent Gamma Z to another star system.

Of course, this decision was based on Gamma Z having already destroyed a Mechanical Race battleship and acquired enough chips through a mission previously.

Even if leaving now, it would not be long before Gamma Z could advance to the Beta Level.

Subsequently, it could return to the area where Chen Ming had the most control over the Dusk forces and consolidate the situation for him.

Upon these reflections, Chen Ming casually glanced at the Dusk forces under his control.

Currently, there were many places throughout the Dusk Star Realm where Chen Ming controlled the Dusk entities.

This naturally included the Dusk Industrial Colony, which had become humanity’s reverse bait, where Chen Ming initially stayed.
