Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 318: Chapter 123: Poor Choice_4

Chen Ming’s assignment had been decided from the beginning; he was allocated to the Fourteenth Legion.

So now, as a rift appeared within the Fourteenth Legion, and the part that had a grudge against Chen Ming controlled a segment of the Fourteenth Legion Fleet.

Besides the government, which might still have thoughts about Chen Ming without actually participating in the battle, other forces focused on secured interests would not attempt to seek out Chen Ming.

Even if they did, they would assume he would ultimately be absorbed by the Fourteenth Legion, so why waste energy getting involved?

So for Zhang Feng, the simple task for the United Fleet moving forward was to disguise itself, pretending to be in a retreat posture.

Chen Ming would naturally be doomed.

Dusk was also likely to let its guard down a bit, allowing them to find the opportunity to teleport directly to the star system where a replica of the Kleitka Supercomputer was located.

Zhang Feng quickly took command and got the battle situation under basic control, soon able to completely disengage and seek teleportation opportunities.

He was determined to get the Kleitka Simulator.

As the front line continued to widen.

Suddenly, Zhang Feng noticed a warp characteristic indicative of a Teleportation Engine about to arrive behind their battle line.

He immediately ordered the fleet to be on guard.

Soon, a Radiation Level Dusk Main Battlecruiser, a Radiation Level ship, appeared behind them.

Though the ship was equipped with countless large heavy and small weapons, the most dangerous on a Radiation Level ship were always those two Main Level weapons.

Microsievert Level Light Radiation Cannons.

These were the Main Level weapons designed for compatibility with each main ship from its conception.

And the name ”Microsievert” is the smallest unit of radiation measurement.

As soon as this Radiation Level appeared at the United Fleet’s back, its two Microsievert Level Light Radiation Cannons had already fired.

Two deep purple almost black slender beams crossed horizontally from the edge of the front line, hitting numerous United Fleet ships.

Although invisible to the naked eye, it could be detected through sensors.

The visibly purple beam from the Light Radiation Cannon was only part of the beam; the main energy of the emitted light radiation was concentrated in ultraviolet radiation.

The power of this unseen energy exceeded appearances.

And though these two radiation beams appeared very slender, their actual diameter exceeded that of a Speed Particle Spear.

A large number of ships below the Main Ship level were hit, putting enormous pressure on the Legion Level cooperative shield maintaining the rear, pushing its Radiant Energy System towards its limit.

However, Zhang Feng was not worried at all at this moment.

For this arriving Radiation Level’s condition was also very poor.

A little thought would reveal that their four Main Ships entirely didn’t need to move or divert attention to handle it.

For they also had plenty of cruisers that initiated cooperative shields capable of activating massive onboard weapons.

At the same time, they had legions behind them, focused purely on combat jets designed for combat.

Main Ship-level aviation could carry jets that were not like Torrential Rain and Cow Herder that could only carry jets a few or a dozen meters long.

The jets they could carry could at least rival a cruiser.

Moreover, most of these jets designed purely for combat often boasted more fighting power than a cruiser.

Thus, this Radiation Level ship, arriving unaccompanied, would definitely not have time for a second attack.

Even if it planned to use the Flashing Engine to escape, they would never give it the chance; moreover, the Flashing Engine couldn’t be used freely without restrictions.

The United Fleet could handle it with ease, creating a localized advantage.

Thus, Zhang Feng simply handed this decision, which required only a simple analysis to reach the optimal strategy with minimal danger, over to Tang Shi, as instructed from above.

Zhang Feng directly asked Tang Shi, ”What should be done here?”

Tang Shi, who was just watching beside him, suddenly panicked.

Like a student who didn’t study properly and found the exam paper incomprehensible during the test.

He also suddenly realized that the exam time was nearly over, and this anxiety made his brain momentarily chaotic.

Zhang Feng saw his state and could only patiently say, ”Calm down, think slowly, you’re in command; you’re the commander now.”

Suddenly, cold sweat started dripping down Tang Shi’s forehead again.

He had never commanded such an event, and even the simplest things seemed insurmountable to him.

Anxiety, irritation continuously squeezed out the few clear thinking faculties he had.

Finally, he issued this order: ”Legion Level, perform an emergency radiation discharge! Prevent overload!”

Zhang Feng’s pupils immediately contracted, shouting, ”Wait!”

But the Legion was their ride, and the order was instantly conveyed.

The Legion Level initiated an emergency radiation discharge, locking all equipment requiring radiant energy consumption, expelling the accumulated radiant energy from the Radiation Level attack, which could not be stopped.

At that moment.

A Radiation Level ship, previously immobile in front of the line due to main ship pressure, instantly activated the Flashing Engine, circling to their rear.
