Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 311: Chapter 122: Disconnection and Sudden Changes_2

This means that the Dusk controlled by Chen Ming will inevitably be exposed.

But if Chen Ming does not leave, as long as he drags it out for a day, the number of Dusks he controls externally will increase by one day.

As long as he is not discovered, he could even completely take control of the entire Star Realm’s Dusk from the inside.

Such a huge benefit laid before him truly made it difficult to give up.

However, Chen Ming suddenly shivered.

He remembered the deadline he had left for himself earlier.

After arranging his plans earlier, he initially intended to leave the day before the Dusk delivered the devices, regardless of whether the Fourteenth Legion took action.

Although some unexpected events occurred, the Dusk received the Spiritual Ability Device ahead of schedule.

Fortunately, it requires time to activate, which delayed the time when the Dusk would spring into action.

However, Chen Ming still felt it was necessary to adhere to the deadline he had previously set.

Greed is never a good thing.

In four days, no matter what happens on that day, he must leave.

The newly delivered Spiritual Ability Device from the Dusk increased its Spiritual Strength every moment, and the sense of danger it brought him also grew every moment.

What this implies goes without saying.

Even if he continued to control more Dusk, it would be meaningless if he lost his life.

After thorough contemplation, Chen Ming refocused his attention on his work.

While completing his tasks at hand, he constantly monitored the situation of the newly delivered Spiritual Ability Device.

Looking for potential opportunities to sabotage the device.

However, G3 monitored the device so strictly that there was not the slightest gap.

Several cameras were installed in the equipment room, ensuring there were no blind spots.

At least three robots guarded the room twenty-four hours a day.

Every time Chen Ming passed by, a robot followed him, making it impossible for him to take action.

Two days passed in the blink of an eye.

Chen Ming hadn’t found the slightest opportunity.

And now there were only two days left until the deadline.

Chen Ming’s mind was filled with thoughts about this matter, and after breakfast, he continued his work today.

However, just as work reached halfway, G3 suddenly went silent, as if it left.

”G3?”

G3 did not respond, but after a while, it came back online and said, ”Mr. Chen Ming, today’s work task is temporarily suspended, please come to the experimentation area to assist me in checking your Spiritual Power status.”

G3’s words sounded normal, but Chen Ming felt that this time it was different from before.

The experimentation area in front of his eyes gave him a piercing sense of danger.

So Chen Ming stalled and asked it, ”What exactly are we doing today?”

G3 replied, ”The same as usual, strengthening your Spiritual Power.”

Chen Ming didn’t believe a word G3 said.

Today, it was highly likely that they were going to activate that Spiritual Ability Device.

But this device hadn’t even reached the Spiritual Strength limit Chen Ming had sensed, so why activate it early?

One baffling issue after another, besides the tension about what might happen next, Chen Ming was filled with uncontrollable anxiety.

The problems piled up in his mind, but he couldn’t solve any of them, making it very hard for Chen Ming to calm down.

Suddenly, without knowing why, Chen Ming instinctively glanced at the camera on the Iron Ore No.

Immediately he discovered countless bursts of fire and energy flickering in the space overhead.

Chen Ming froze for a moment, realizing what could cause this situation.

A battle was taking place in space.

Chen Ming’s attention was just about to be drawn away by this scene, but he suddenly heard some noise behind him and quickly turned to look.

A mechanical arm extended from a work assistant robot, connected to a tranquilizer gun.

The tension, anxiety, and panic in Chen Ming’s heart were instantly suppressed by his extensive past experiences.

And he immediately considered what would be the right approach in the current situation.

A flood of white, metallic, liquid brilliance overflowed from Chen Ming’s palms, covering his entire body.

In an instant, a White Cloud Steel exoskeleton frame covered the outer layer of his Protective Suit and connected with it.

Armor plates quickly followed, covering the exoskeleton, thoroughly protecting Chen Ming inside.

The interior utilized self-storing energy materials as the Energy Source, which Chen Ming had learned from Dusk.

Even though Chen Ming couldn’t transform energy together with the transformation, the self-storing energy materials were sufficient to power the exoskeleton armor.

The tightly protected pure white exoskeleton armor deflected the tranquilizer dart shot at Chen Ming.

To be cautious, Chen Ming immediately modified the exoskeleton armor with a filtering mask to prevent Dusk from tampering with the air.

”G3! What are you doing!”

”Mr. Chen Ming, please cooperate with my work.”

”Cooperate my ass!”

Chen Ming coolly spat out a curse.

Before the robots could approach, he turned and pointed the portable mini mining laser he had just modified on his left arm at the sealed research area door.

Two high-intensity laser beams sliced through the door, quickly breaking it open.

During this time, Chen Ming hadn’t solely focused on researching the Spaceship Shield.

He knew very well his weakest point, and enhancing his combat capability during leisure was never a bad thing.

Chen Ming dashed out of the research area, immediately activated the jetpack he had just modified, and aimed in the direction of the research institute’s main entrance.
