After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 540: Chapter 544 Father and Son [4]

Luo Xiaoqian followed him out, only to see Leng Lin standing at the study door.

”Uncle Leng, we’re leaving now.”

”Okay,” Leng Lin responded lightly.

Leng Zimo didn’t say anything, simply taking her by the hand and leading her downstairs, not stopping until they reached the living room.

”Aunt Su, make more food for dinner, Xiao Qian and I will be back to eat.”

”Ah!” Aunt Su, who was tidying up the room, immediately responded with delight, ”Perfect, Minister Chen brought over two freshly caught fish. Tonight, I’ll make you your favorite braised fish!”

Luo Xiaoqian looked at Leng Zimo in surprise, but he just held her hand tighter and led her out of the Leng Family Mansion.

After seeing them out, Aunt Su hurriedly ran upstairs, ”Sir, Zimo said they’ll be back for dinner.”

”I heard. If they’re coming back, they’re coming back,” Leng Lin said in an even tone.

”Should I prepare more dishes?” asked Aunt Su.

”It’s just the two of them, how much can they eat?” Leng Lin walked toward his study, ”Keep the dishes light, no spicy food. They’re both singers; their throats need to be well taken care of. Zimo likes dumplings, make some dumplings.”

”Got it!” Aunt Su smiled and turned to head downstairs.

After closing the study door, Leng Lin walked over to the window and watched Leng Zimo’s car head toward the gate, a smile involuntarily appearing at the corner of his lips.

”This fool, he really is... just like me!”

...

...

Inside the car.

Luo Xiaoqian sat in the passenger seat, her gaze returning from the distant Leng Family Mansion.

”Guess, what do you think your dad is doing now?”

”He must be standing upstairs watching us, and then calling me a fool!” Leng Zimo said calmly.

”Really? Shouldn’t he be happy that we’re coming home for dinner?” Luo Xiaoqian looked back at the Leng Family Mansion with some confusion.

Leng Zimo turned to her with a smile, ”When he calls someone a fool, it’s like when I call you ’Little Fool.’ You get it now?”

”Oh!” Luo Xiaoqian nodded with a laugh, ”So, you call me ’Little Fool’ because you like me?!”

”Fool!” Leng Zimo, paying attention to the road ahead, corrected, ”Not like, love!”

Luo Xiaoqian laughed childishly, then leaned in close to him, and said aloud, ”Leng Zimo, I love you too, so much, very much!”

Now that all the misunderstandings had been cleared up, and knowing her mother hadn’t betrayed her father and that there was nothing between her and Father Leng, all the heavy pressure in her heart had lifted.

Feeling completely relaxed, she was finally able to declare her love for him without any reservations.

This feeling was truly wonderful!

Leng Zimo got slightly distracted, and a car behind them trying to merge honked in panic; he quickly refocused and steered the car back on track.

”What kind of driving is that!”

The driver of the overtaking vehicle did not forget to roll down the window and hurl an insult as he passed by.

”Hehe, sorry, sorry, won’t happen again!” Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly moved back to her seat.

”Fool!” Leng Zimo scolded.

She shrunk back into her seat, yet retorted defiantly, ”You’re the fool, a super Big Fool! It was just a word from me, and you veered off the road. Leng Zimo, Big Fool!”

Leng Zimo just smiled, not daring to take his eyes off the road again.

After Luo Xiaoqian had said her piece and feared distracting him, she obediently closed her mouth.

Only when the car stopped at a red light at the intersection did Leng Zimo turn to her, pretending to be fierce, ”You little brat, just you wait, let’s see how I punish you tonight!”
