After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 508: Chapter 511 Fearful, You Say Goodbye to Me [2]

As soon as she landed, her legs gave way and she collapsed to the ground.

Noticing the reddened wounds that were visible through the tears in her clothes, Jiao Yang’s brows had already furrowed into a knot.

”What in the world happened, how did you end up like this?”

Luo Xiaoqian remained silent.

”Say something!” Jiao Yang was almost frantic, looking at her exceptionally pale face, he had no choice but to compromise. Bending down, he carefully supported her arm, his voice as if coaxing a child, ”Alright, we won’t go to the hospital, can I take you to my place?”

Lifting her head from her knees, Luo Xiaoqian looked at him, met his earnest gaze, and gently nodded. Immediately, she tried to stand up, using her hands to brace herself.

Jiao Yang hurriedly reached out his arm to help her up and was about to embrace her when he changed his mind midway. Instead, he took her arm and placed it over his shoulder, lifting her onto his back.

He carried her all the way back to the villa complex, and since it was still early, apart from the property security, Jiao Yang didn’t encounter anyone.

In a high-end community, the standards for security are naturally very high. The guard was somewhat puzzled to see the girl on his back but didn’t dare to ask any questions.

This was a city villa, where the residents were either rich or noble. To them, the homeowner was God, and no one dared to provoke them easily.

Entering the living room, he settled her on the sofa, and Jiao Yang immediately fetched the household medical kit to cleanse her wounds and apply medication.

”This will hurt, try to bear with it!”

Seeing the large abrasions on her leg, Jiao Yang carefully cut open her jeans with scissors, used a cotton swab to clean her wounds, and the alcohol stung her injuries. He was worried she would cry out in pain, but to his surprise.

From beginning to end, she didn’t say a word, nor did she cry out in pain.

Having treated all the wounds on her body, Jiao Yang reached out to touch her forehead, feeling its intense heat, and his brows furrowed even more. He turned around to pour a cup of hot water and brought it to her, ”Drink some hot water. I’m going out to buy you some anti-inflammatory and fever-reducing medicine.”

Taking the cup in her hands and feeling the warmth emanating from it, Luo Xiaoqian, who had been silent until now, finally spoke.

”Thank you.”

Jiao Yang crouched down, looking into her eyes, ”What exactly happened?”

”Can you not ask?” she requested, hugging the cup.

”I’m going to buy the medicine.” Jiao Yang stood up and hurried to the door. After taking a few steps, he suddenly stopped, turned back to her, and said, ”Promise me you’ll wait here for my return, and not sneak away.”

He found her condition rather concerning and couldn’t help but worry.

Luo Xiaoqian nodded, hugging the cup.

Leave?

Where could she possibly go now!

Watching her somewhat dazed expression, Jiao Yang was far from reassured. He grabbed his phone from the table, walked to the porch, and dialed his assistant.

”Buy some anti-inflammatory drugs and fever medicine, then bring some easily digestible breakfast and a set of women’s clothing, including underwear... Sizes?” Jiao Yang glanced at Luo Xiaoqian, ”36B, 32, 38!”

With his wealth of experience with women, he had that much confidence in his eye for detail.

After the call, he returned to Luo Xiaoqian, crouching in front of her and lifting his arms to support hers.

”Xiao Qian, I mean no harm, I just want to know what exactly happened, how did you end up like this?”

”Jiao Yang.” Luo Xiaoqian looked at the cup, ”Can I have a moment of silence, please?”

”Alright!” Jiao Yang reached for his phone, ”If you won’t talk, I’ll call Leng Zimo.”
