After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 514: Chapter 517 The Whereabouts of That Person [3]

He had been in jail, had a broken leg, had been knifed... He was brave, but he too was afraid of death.

”It was Lu Hao who told us to take her away,” Brother Chuan spoke urgently, ”Then on the way, she jumped out of the car, we chased her, she jumped off the bridge...”

Detective reached out, pulled him up from the ground, and Leng Zimo began dragging him toward the door.

”Mr. Leng!” Old Zhao rushed forward in a panic, blocking his path, ”Please... Give me the gun, this is too dangerous... I promise, if you give me the gun, I will immediately take him with me to find the person with you!”

Leng Zimo took in a deep breath and presented the gun to him.

Old Zhao took the gun, stuffed it in its holster in his fluster, quickly took out the keys, unlocked Brother Chuan from the chair, cuffed his hands with handcuffs, and pulled him to the door.

Outside the door, several people were already standing.

Seeing Old Zhao dragging out Brother Chuan with a gunshot wound on his leg, they immediately approached with concern and asked.

”What happened?”

”This guy tried to grab my gun, so I shot him!” Old Zhao explained offhandedly, ”Prepare a car immediately, he has confessed about the scene.”

Young detectives ran downstairs quickly, and Old Zhao started heading with Brother Chuan and Leng Zimo towards the lower floors.

Soon, they were all in the car, Brother Chuan’s leg was shot, the corner of his mouth twitching in pain, seeing Leng Zimo’s gaze move to him, he immediately revealed the location where Luo Xiaoqian jumped from the bridge hole.

The car left the police station, with Leng Zimo sitting next to it, his dark eyes intently fixed on Brother Chuan’s face.

”If anything happens to her, I’ll have you killed!”

Brother Chuan swallowed nervously and instinctively shrank towards Old Zhao, ”We... We didn’t touch her... That girl... no, that young lady has a fierce temper... There’s water under the bridge, she... should be okay...”

Listening to his tone, Old Zhao immediately took out his mobile phone and dialed a number, ”Director Xu, this is Xiao Zhao, Brother Chuan has given up Luo Xiaoqian’s whereabouts, says she jumped into the river under the bridge, could you send some people over?”

Hearing this news, Xu Shichang immediately agreed.

The police car hurried along, quickly arriving at the spot where Luo Xiaoqian had jumped from the car the night before.

”This is it, no mistake... Look, there are still the skid marks from last night...” Brother Chuan helpfully pointed out the direction, ”It was here last night, she jumped from the car, then we chased her, all the way to the bridge on the other side, she panicked from being chased and jumped down...”

Without waiting for him to finish, Leng Zimo had already punched him to the ground.

Not in the mood to deal with him any further, he strode onto the roadway.

At that moment, traffic on the road was thinning out, and his sudden entry made many drivers slam on the brakes.

With honks and curses surrounding him, Leng Zimo ignored them all, leapt over the road barrier, and sprinted to the spot Brother Chuan had pointed out, carefully examining the road surface. Noticing a broken button on the ground, he bent down to pick it up, clutching it tightly in his palm, then rushed to the sidewalk and looked down under the bridge.

Below the bridge was the river, filthy with leaves, plastic bags, and all sorts of mess strewn about.

It had rained heavily the day before, making the river seem much deeper than usual.

”Mr. Leng, please wait a moment, our people will be here shortly!” Old Zhao ran over in haste.

”Call me immediately if there is any news.” Leng Zimo commanded, quickly heading toward the steps that led down from the bridge.
