Chapter 1187: Chapter 513: Witch Delegation

Make one for me too!

In return, Laine would provide the Jialan Council with rare magic plants and many precious goods from the Wood Elves, as well as imported magic books from the High Elf Safuri Wizard Kingdom.

If we say the Jialan Council can still import a few High Elf magic books from Marinburg, then the truly precious things are the scarce goods from the Wood Elves. That bunch of guys in the forest are all so hard-headed—they only recognize Laine, and only trade with Laine. No matter how the major factions of the Old World rack their brains, the Wood Elves always turn the envoys into sieves with their arrows, then let one man go back alive.

From Laine’s point of view, as a Lord, he wants the powers within his territory to be diversified; he doesn’t want the Lake Fairy’s influence to be overwhelmingly dominant. So he is quite welcoming and enthusiastic about Aurora’s arrival—especially now that Teresa has already become his female courtier, this mature and beautiful mother‑in‑law working with Laine looks perfectly natural.

After dinner, Laine arranged guest rooms so that the travel‑worn Aurora and her entourage could rest properly: ”Lady Aurora, I’ve already arranged the guest rooms. You’ve come a long way and must be tired, please rest well. If you need anything, you can speak to Chief Maid Sylvia, or if you feel it’s necessary you can tell me directly.”

”Anything I need?” Aurora’s face carried a smile as she stared fixedly at Laine’s face. ”I only hope Lord Laine can be a little nicer in his attitude toward me, don’t be so distant. That would make me very happy.”

”Heh~ that’s my fault.” Laine chuckled at her words, openly admitting his mistake. The Count himself took the little hand of the female sorcerer and said softly to Teresa: ”Dear Teresa, you and Lady Aurora haven’t seen each other for a long time, right? Stay here tonight.”

Teresa nodded at that; the female sorcerer really did want to have some private talk with her mother: ”What about you, Laine? You and my mother also haven’t seen each other for a long time, do you want to stay and chat together?”

”No, I still have things to do.” Laine shook his head, as if he truly had something important. After settling the Witch delegation, the Count himself hurried off.

Once Laine’s figure disappeared around the corner of the wall, the smile on Aurora’s face immediately faded quite a bit. Mother and daughter walked into the guest room: the luxurious room had all its furniture fully furnished. Aurora closed the door, set up a Magic Array, put her leather bag on the table, sat down, let out a low sigh, then looked at the slightly nervous and uneasy female sorcerer with a half‑smiling expression: ”Satisfied now, my daughter?”

”Mother!” Teresa sat opposite Aurora, a bit agitated, yet not knowing where to start: ”Laine is just a little busy.”

”Mm, it’s normal for a man to be busy, and it’s also a sign of his excellence—especially for a man like Laine.” Aurora took off her fox‑fur coat, revealing her proud figure. The Mana tides on the Holy Sanctuary Witch’s body surged back and forth. She sighed lightly: ”But I still prefer the timid boy who stood before me back then. The Laine now instead seems too mature—so mature that I seriously doubt whether you can handle a man like that. My daughter, I know you too well. You’re not proactive enough in daily interactions, and you don’t know how to win a man’s favor through little gestures.”

”Laine isn’t that kind of person.” Teresa shook her head repeatedly. ”He treats me very well. Without his full support—he even invited Dwarf Engineers and Dwarf Craftsmen—my Wizard Tower wouldn’t have been built so easily.”

”That he accepts you and whether you’re likable enough are not the same thing.” Aurora shook her head. The Holy Sanctuary Witch glanced at Teresa and sighed: ”I’m starting to regret agreeing to let you build a Wizard Tower here. Before, I encouraged you because I wanted you to become Laine’s wife. But based on the situation now, I’d rather you didn’t stay by Laine’s side... yet you’ve already become Laine’s female courtier.”

”He’s the man I chose. I won’t regret it!” On this point, Teresa was especially firm. The female sorcerer moved her two Long Legs and walked to Aurora’s side, sitting down: ”You will help me, right, Mother?”

”Oh, my daughter, your personality is exactly the same as mine when I was young!” Aurora affectionately caressed Teresa’s cold, gorgeous face so very similar to her own, and the identical black long hair. The Holy Sanctuary Witch, in the end, still cherished her daughter: ”And isn’t that why I came? Mother will help you.”

”But there’s one thing you have to tell me honestly.” Aurora suddenly asked with a playful hint: ”You’ve already done it with Laine, haven’t you?”

”Wh‑why are you suddenly asking that?” Teresa’s face flushed scarlet in an instant.

”Tell me, or Mother won’t help you.” Aurora watched her daughter’s embarrassed look with great interest: ”How many times a week? How is he in bed? With his build and strength, he shouldn’t be bad. Judging by his wife Surya’s appearance, she clearly looks thoroughly well‑nourished.”

”Two or three times a week, I guess. Laine... is very gentle. It feels very good when we do it.” Teresa lowered her head and, after a long time, finally squeezed out a few words: ”And it’s not like you don’t know his tastes...”

”Good.”
