Chapter 1186: Chapter 513: The Witch Delegation

”Please, Lady Aurora.”

Inside the winery’s hall, a lavish banquet had already been arranged. The maid corps led by Sylvia and Ollica served various local Brittania dishes on the long table, with all silverware and large barrels of wine from the Winford Duchy showcasing Laine’s current wealth.

Behind the window on the winery’s third floor, Surya and Veronica remained in place chatting idly. The female knight commented playfully to Veronica, ”It seems like this Female Elder from the Jialan Council is not used to complimenting others.”

”She’s used to others asking favors from her; this woman has always been strong-willed.” Veronica, with a small hand clad in black lace gloves, supported her delicate face, mockingly speaking of Aurora’s arrival: ”In the Northern Empire and Nord Kingdom, the nobles there all seek help from Aurora. When these nobles painstakingly arrive at Aurora’s Wizard Tower to seek assistance, Aurora can loudly tell them to get out, with the nobles not daring to show any disrespect, or they would end up being blasted away by a spell.”

”Are there not enough strong male nobles?” Surya asked with interest.

”There are, but not many.” Veronica shook her head: ”You know the Northern Empire and Nord Kingdom are located in harsh cold regions, with scarce resources and constant battles against the Northern Barbarians, people often struggle to barely maintain sustenance. Few can focus on their training; even legendary powerhouses are rare. To cultivate a Holy Sanctuary Powerhouse requires laying a solid foundation in childhood, gaining guidance from a renowned teacher, and having sufficient resources and divine favor, which is very difficult.”

”I see.” Surya nodded, the female knight stood up: ”Since Lady Aurora has arrived, as hosts we should greet her!”

The elegant and noble Countess approached to greet Aurora. Surya, smiling, slowly approached and said, ”Warmly welcome, Lady Aurora from the Jialan Council, your arrival adds glory to our winery. On behalf of all the nobles and peasants of the Count Glamorgan’s Domain, and the Duke of Winford’s Clan, one of the original twelve Holy Grail Knights ’Purifier’ Lidmond, we welcome you.”

Listening to this string of titles, the smile on Aurora’s face froze, the Female Elder from Jialan briefly assessed Laine’s wife Surya, sighing inwardly, thinking indeed as the information suggested, Laine’s wife is truly a Duke’s Daughter, born into great nobility, and her strength is in no way inferior to Teresa: ”Hello, Lady Surya.”

”Welcome, Lady Aurora, on behalf of the Lady of the Lake, Holy Grail Knight Order, and Saintess Order, we welcome your arrival.” Lake God Witch Mogiana also appeared; she didn’t seem particularly welcoming of Aurora, simply greeting briefly, then unapologetically sat next to Laine, with Surya on one side and Mogiana on the other surrounding Laine. Mogiana even intentionally leaned close to Laine to prevent him from secretly speaking to Aurora.

This lad’s status is no longer the same; even the most powerful Lake God Witch in this country personally attended the banquet, is it? The mature and glamorous Aurora only felt the pressure on her shoulders, but instinctively, she sensed Mogiana seemed to harbor deep hostility towards her.

Perhaps because as the leader of Brittania’s local religious and magic authority, the Lake God Witch didn’t like her, which completely made sense to think this way. Aurora exchanged greetings with Mogiana, maintaining an overly awkward warm smile.

Then came Veronica; the Jialan Witch greeted simply, ”Hello, Lady Trovik.”

”Hello, Lady Bernadotte.” Aurora replied nonchalantly and briefly.

These two witches were opposites in any sense and couldn’t even bother with additional pleasantries.

Everyone took their seats, and the banquet began.

In winter, the lively banquet began to turn the once desolate ambiance of the winery into a lively one; undoubtedly the most enthusiastic person at the banquet was the female sorcerer Teresa. She sat beside her mother, holding her hand and chatting about various things. Laine frequently offered toasts, and the entire sorceress visiting team received a warm welcome.

Aurora brought high-yield grain seeds newly invented by the Jialan Council. These seeds could partially survive in the extremely cold and harsh Kislev Icefield. Presumably, after study by the wood elf and Lake God Witch Mogiana, grain yields would rise further.

Additionally, Aurora brought revolutionary technology regarding golems and magic crystal cannons. The powerful combat golems could be produced at Veronica and Teresa’s Wizard Towers, and the magic crystal cannons could be installed on castle walls or atop Wizard Towers. It was said that a single charge from this crystal cannon could wipe out a small troop.

A group of green-skinned lads from the Giant Demon Realm in northern Kislev had the privilege of experiencing the power of the magic crystal cannon; more than a hundred of them were blasted to smithereens by a single shot. Now this magic crystal cannon is ready to be installed on the walls of White Wolf City, named ”Thunder of Yurik” by Boris Prince-Elector.

Aurora came this time to deliver the blueprints.

Of course, the magic crystal cannon is costly to produce, but such a powerful war machine gave Laine no reason to refuse. He accepted the blueprints, thinking once the banquet was over, he would invite Dwarf Engineer Dugen the Ironman and Harharaver the Gold Digger from the Angland Clan to look at the blueprints and figure out how to make this magic crystal cannon.
