Chapter 1155: Chapter 500: What Can Relieve Worries? Only Dukang

”That’s good.” Fugen nodded, then noticed his deputy legion commander Fernando Pilazzo leading the Ash Legion’s Walking Knights and Great Swordsmen, along with the Great Demon Lord, Mazda Moody.

Mazda Moody was seated upon the Golden Throne, and the base of the Golden Throne was placed on the back of an Ancient Triceratops named Zelarach, clearly indicating that the most powerful of the second-generation Demon Toads was ready for battle. It looked at Fugen: ”Young... Son of the Ancient Saint, come with me. Protect my mentor, Venerable Master Crok, at the war council, which is about to convene.”

Following Mazda Moody arrived a robust Ferocious Cold Lizard. It roared, quickly approached Fugen, and bent over voluntarily.

This was Fugen’s mount.

Ten minutes later, the war council was convened inside the Great Pyramid of Itaza. Attendees included the Great Demon Lord Mazda Moody, the Last Guardian Kuga, Lizardman Ancient Blood Warrior Tekza, responsible for the defenses of Itaza, and the remaining two second-generation Demon Toads.

The first generation of Demon Toads, created by Ancient Saints, has all perished, and only five second-generation Demon Toads remain. The mightiest, Mazda Moody, rules Sun City, Lord Huahua commands Mist City, Lord Odu Teha commands Moon City, and in addition, two remaining second-generation Demon Toads were present.

”The mentor is reviving; when the time comes, his power will shock the entire world’s Magic Wind. The Great Defense Net cannot conceal the Venerable’s terrifying power. We must prepare for war.” Mazda Moody’s voice was hoarse and imbued with an obscure tone, and he spoke slowly, fortunately with the Spirit Lizard Priest beside him to translate for Fugen.

”Our nemesis surely will send a formidable army to fully prevent Venerable Crok’s revival,” whispered another second-generation Demon Toad, who appeared very old.

Fugen involuntarily recalled the Emperor’s words. Theoretically, the servants of Ancient Saints are ageless and immortal; their lifespan is infinite. The only possibility that would age a Demon Toad is if its magic power and energy were long-term overdrawn.

Is that how it is, to maintain the ”Great Guardian”?

Fugen’s gaze flickered briefly; he still remained silent.

”Besides our mortal enemies, surely there will be another army coming to interfere with the Venerable’s revival.” Kuga opened its mouth, its tongue extending as the Last Guardian and Warlord unleashed its ferocity: ”Skaven Ratmen.”

”Skaven Ratmen have already been driven out of Lustria!” Lizardman Ancient Blood Warrior Tekza shouted angrily.

”Apparently, they’ve returned.” Mazda Moody emitted a long breath, its exhalation thick with the Magic Wind: ”The stars show more Skaven Ratmen have landed in Lustria.”

”Itaza’s army cannot withstand both the Chaos Demons and Skaven Ratmen simultaneously; we need reinforcements from Mist City and Moon City!” Kuga quickly calculated, knowing what kind of terrible war they would face.

”Mist City and Moon City cannot dispatch reinforcements,” whispered another second-generation Demon Toad: ”Lord Huahua must maintain the defense of Mist City, already besieged by Skaven Ratmen and many Undead Pirates, while Lord Odu Teha’s soul still drifts in the void; only when its soul returns to the body can Moon City’s army be mobilized.”

”What should we do then?” Lizardman Ancient Blood Warrior Tekza could only feel anger about this: ”Regardless, as long as my Great Lord needs, I can fight our mortal enemies to the end at any time.”

”We will set defenses at the Starlight Bridge to confront the alliance army of Skaven Ratmen and Chaos Demons.” Mazda Moody closed its eyes, and after five minutes, it opened them again: ”Whether we can hold out until the mentor fully revives is the key to victory.”

”This war will determine whether the world can persist. If we fail, darkness will utterly consume this land.”

”Now, let us fight to protect our master’s legacy.”
