Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 1171: Chapter 507: Fireworks Academy

As always, even though it’s early summer, the Lake Fairy Tower remains shrouded in mist. This mist can obscure all kinds of malicious gazes, isolating the sight of mortals. Within this small valley, it has long become a forbidden zone.

Walking along the corridor along the high walls leading into the tower, Laine held Surya’s small hand: ”Has the Lady had any new oracles recently?”

Hand in hand with Laine, the female knight Surya nodded: ”The Lady wishes for me to bear your child soon. Also, the Lady has used divination to retrieve Her Highness Mogiana’s lost Golden Waistband from the forest. It can also be confirmed that the Potion Chalice is indeed in Musillon.”

”Very good.” Laine wandered with Surya through the mist, contemplating that he must work hard to help Surya conceive soon: ”Has the Lady appeared often recently?”

”We meet about once or twice a week. The Lady invites me to the tower to receive post-marital training and to talk.” A blush rose on Surya’s face: ”She has also gifted me many things, including lots of new clothes, shoes, and even stockings.”

”Hmm.” Laine had nothing much to say, so he just nodded.

When the couple arrived before the Lake Fairy Tower, the Lake God Witch Mogiana, who had already sensed their arrival, stood waiting at the tower gate.

Mogiana was wearing a dress today, a pink flowing gown with mottled frost and dew patterns. Since it was already summer, the dress was naturally low-cut and had a high slit. On her delicate shoulders and neck, she wore a lace shrug with a floral-patterned collar, a combination that normal women would find hard to master, yet Mogiana wore it with her distinctive style. Her look was full of majesty but also exuded an elegant charm. Peeking from beneath her skirt, her legs clad in flesh-colored silk stockings were shod in silver lace-up high heels, which appeared both sharp and somewhat sacred.

Seeing Laine first made Mogiana’s eyes light up, and she quickly walked up to him, slowing noticeably upon seeing Surya as well: ”Laine? Surya? You’ve arrived? I’ve prepared the dinner.”

”Yes, it has been a while, Mogiana.” Laine could tell that Mogiana had dressed up specifically, giving her an amused glance.

Mogiana returned a sharp gaze and signaled ”three” to Laine when Surya wasn’t looking.

Nodding somewhat awkwardly, Laine acknowledged her message; he indeed had been away for three weeks.

The dinner soon began, starting with an appetizer of frozen Kislev lobster with celery and sweet clover concentrated sauce.

The main course comprised of casseroled red wine chicken, roasted snails, pan-seared foie gras, and roasted Brittania venison steak.

The dessert was strawberry verbena ice cream with scones.

Sitting each on one side of a round table, Laine, Surya, and Mogiana, Laine proactively asked: ”Mogiana, is your health better now?”

”I have mostly recovered, and now we need to retrieve the Potion Chalice.” Mogiana replied to Laine’s question while cutting the venison steak with her knife and fork: ”When you lead the army to attack Musillon, I will accompany the army to sense the location of the Potion Chalice.”

”I plan to attack Musillon around this time next year.” Laine explained his plans to Mogiana: ”Once next year’s spring plowing is over, we will immediately rally a Knightly Army.”

”Which duchies will participate?” Mogiana seemed particularly concerned about this question.

”The Winford Duchy and Boldro Duchy will send their main forces, and both the Bastogne Duchy and Kakasong Duchy will send an army to report to me.” Laine was determined about this war, speaking seriously: ”Besides that, the Angland Clan’s Dwarf Army will assist us, and if possible, I hope to persuade the Wood Elves to join.”

The sound of high heels clacking on the floor beneath the table made Laine suddenly aware of Mogiana’s disapproval of his plan: ”What’s wrong, Mogiana?”

”Too many armies are not good, especially the Wood Elves.” Mogiana, clearly still haunted by past experiences, instinctively refused to ally with the Wood Elves: ”My Lake God Prophets and I will support you, but we won’t fight alongside Wood Elves.”

Across a silver candlestick, Laine looked at Mogiana through the candlelight; her beautiful eyes were full of determination.

”Mogiana, whether Laine can persuade the Wood Elves to join is still uncertain.” Surya intervened to mediate, eating elegantly while smoothing over the differing opinions of the two: ”Laine, please understand, after all, because of the Wood Elves’ betrayal, Her Highness Mogiana almost faced disaster, being nearly sacrificed to the Master of the Undead.”

”Hmm.” Laine pondered for a moment. Being aware of the details, he knew that Wood Elves were Wood Elves, and tree spirits were tree spirits. Mogiana had been betrayed by the tree spirits, led by the Branch Shadow Soul Desha and the Divine Wood Ghost Legion.

But from Mogiana’s perspective, she didn’t care about the details; the creatures in the forest had long been on her blacklist.

Laine understood Mogiana. The Lake God Witch held a position in this country even higher than the King’s. After long possessing unparalleled authority, it was natural for a person to develop that kind of dictatorial temperament. Just like many directors in Laine’s past life had the nickname ”tyrant of the set” because their authority on the set was absolute, and over time, even the most good-natured people easily became that way. Let alone Mogiana, her power in this nation had no boundaries.
