Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2337: Chapter 2338: Also Not Entirely

”Why would we become enemies? I’ll just talk to him first. We’ll try dating as boyfriend and girlfriend for a few days, and if it doesn’t work out, we won’t continue. Just giving it a try.”

”That sounds okay, then. You should talk to your Uncle Lu about it. If he agrees, I have no objections.”

”Thanks, Mom!” An Baobei happily expressed her gratitude. ”If Uncle Lu and I really end up together, let’s see how Ning Zihan still dares to pursue me!”

An Jing was momentarily stunned, then found it both helpless and amusing: ”So you’re dating your Uncle Lu just to stop Ning Zihan from chasing you?”

An Baobei said, ”That’s not entirely it. It’s one of the reasons. First, I truly want to date, get married, and have a child. Second, I really don’t want Ning Zihan to keep chasing me.”

An Jing knew it was a bit difficult for An Baobei to completely act like Ning Zihan didn’t exist. After all, Ning Zihan was actively pursuing her, and she was directly involved.

So, An Jing said, ”You should handle it yourself. You’re grown up now, and no matter what happens, you should try to solve it on your own first. If you can’t, then come to me and your dad.”

You must know that she and her husband couldn’t accompany this daughter for a lifetime.

...

Lu Yimi originally didn’t want to date An Baobei, thinking that if things didn’t go well, the relationship between him and the Su Family might also turn sour, which he didn’t want. Yet, he couldn’t resist An Baobei’s persistent persuasion, so in the end, he agreed to date her for a week.

Of course, before agreeing, he still consulted Su Changyi and Su Haoyu for their opinions.

Su Changyi and the others also thought having a week to see how things went would be fine, so he agreed.

To let Lu Yimi and An Baobei have a good time dating, Su Changyi even gave Lu Yimi a one-week leave.

Lu Yimi: ”...”

Having agreed and with a leave granted, Lu Yimi could only proceed to have a good week with An Baobei.

On the first day of dating as boyfriend and girlfriend, Lu Yimi took An Baobei back to his villa, and they cooked and ate together.

An Baobei tended to leave things wherever, but because of his compulsive disorder, Lu Yimi couldn’t stand things being placed randomly. Wherever An Baobei placed something, he’d follow, pick it up, classify, and place it somewhere else.

It was somewhat like An Baobei was a princess, and Lu Yimi was the housekeeper or servant.

Also, An Baobei loved cilantro, which Lu Yimi never ate, and his most disliked food was cilantro...

On the first evening of dating, An Baobei and Lu Yimi went to the cinema to watch a movie. An Baobei wanted to watch a comedy, while Lu Yimi wanted to watch a horror film. In the end, although Lu Yimi compromised to watch the comedy, throughout the movie, An Baobei laughed from beginning to end, while Lu Yimi frowned from beginning to end, finding it childish.

On the second day of dating, Lu Yimi, in a token gesture, bought a bouquet of flowers he quite liked for An Baobei, which turned out to be champagne roses that An Baobei disliked the most, while her preference was for fiery red roses.

Lu Yimi: ”...” If only he knew, he wouldn’t have sent them!

But Lu Yimi still invited An Baobei to have western food for lunch. An Baobei happily agreed and gave the bouquet of champagne roses to An Jing.

After handing them to An Jing, An Baobei said, ”Let’s go.”

Lu Yimi immediately turned and left.

Watching Lu Yimi’s back and then looking at herself, An Baobei finally realized something was off and called out to Lu Yimi: ”Uncle Lu, don’t you think we’re not acting like a couple at all?”
