Chapter 2302: Chapter 2303: Pursuing An Baobei (Part 3)

”Don’t you worry, I’ve promised to help you. I’ve already talked to Su Changyi and the others, told them your bone marrow wasn’t a match, but by noon, I’ll tell them there’s an anonymous donor whose bone marrow is suitable.”

”Thank you, big cousin.”

”Today, find a time to secretly come to the hospital for a full body check-up. Come directly to my office first, I’ll take you for it. Once we confirm your body has no problems, I’ll arrange for you to donate bone marrow to the patient tomorrow morning.”

”Okay.”

...

Though Ning Zihan’s bone marrow wasn’t a match, and even though they didn’t like Ning Zihan much, Su Changyi and the others were still a little disappointed.

Right now, their only focus is to save Su Haoyu.

No matter who the match is, they just hope it’s suitable. With such hopes, of course they’re disappointed when it’s not a match.

But by noon, Dr. Qian came over joyfully and told them, ”S city has another hospital where there’s a male donor whose bone marrow is suitable for your father. However, he doesn’t want you to know who he is, just wishes to donate silently. If you agree to this, I can do the bone marrow transplant for your father tomorrow morning. Just know, when the surgery happens, none of you can wait outside the operation room.” He paused, ”You’ve seen your father’s condition; it can’t be delayed any longer. The longer it drags on, the worse it is for your father.”

With suitable bone marrow found, Su Changyi and the others were very happy and immediately agreed not to wait outside the operation room.

However, An Jing said a bit apologetically, ”Dr. Qian, since the donor doesn’t want us to know who he is, how can we express our gratitude?”

Dr. Qian replied, ”That’s precisely why he’s requested this; he’s afraid you’ll want to express thanks.”

Upon hearing this, An Jing said, ”Then we’ll just have to trouble you, Dr. Qian, to pass along our thanks. We really are so thankful to him!”

...

With Dr. Qian’s arrangements, the next day at 10 a.m., Dr. Qian performed the bone marrow transplant for Su Haoyu.

Because Ning Zihan was donating bone marrow, he also came to the hospital, but stealthily, fearing that Su Changyi and the others might find out.

As soon as the surgery ended, Ning Zihan didn’t dare linger a second longer. He got up to leave, even ignoring Dr. Qian’s advice to take a rest.

Unfortunately, he bumped into An Baobei and Ning Wenxian in the hospital lobby.

Ning Zihan instantly cursed silently in his heart, ”Darn!”

As they couldn’t wait outside the operating room and were thirsty, the two had gone out of the hospital together to buy water. They’d already bought several bottles, which An Baobei was carrying.

When An Baobei saw Ning Zihan, she merely blinked and, as before, pretended not to see him.

Ning Wenxian, however, quickly approached and asked, ”Brother, why are you here? Didn’t you go back with Dad?”

Not waiting for him to answer, she noticed he looked pale and immediately asked with concern, ”Brother, why do you look so pale?”

Panicked inside but calm on the surface, Ning Zihan said, ”I probably didn’t sleep well last night.” Then, answering her first question, ”Chengyu’s dad is having surgery today, and Dad was worried, so he asked me to come have a look, then go back.”

Ning Wenxian believed him and even asked, ”Have you seen him?”

”I’ve already seen him, Chengyu’s dad just finished his surgery. You should hurry up and go see him too.”

Upon hearing that the surgery was over, Ning Wenxian hurried to go up and see, not talking more with her brother, Ning Zihan. Together with An Baobei, they quickly entered the elevator to go upstairs and see Su Haoyu.
