Chapter 2307: Chapter 2308: Pursuing An Baobei (8)

Ning Zihan remained silent.

An Baobei continued, ”Are you going back in my car, or are you waiting here for the police to come?”

”Wait for the police.” As soon as Ning Zihan finished speaking, he was momentarily blinded by a flash of light.

The light was nothing else but a folding knife pulled out by a kidnapper who had been knocked down. The sunlight reflected off the blade of the folding knife, shining directly into Ning Zihan’s eyes, causing him to squint and close his eyes.

And that kidnapper was right next to An Baobei. An Baobei saw Ning Zihan suddenly close his eyes in response to the flash, and before he could understand what was happening, the kidnapper suddenly stood up and stabbed An Baobei in the stomach.

The severe pain twisted An Baobei’s face in an instant. At the same time, An Baobei raised his foot and kicked the kidnapper hard, and the kidnapper fainted immediately.

With the blinding light gone, Ning Zihan could finally open his eyes. As soon as he did, he saw An Baobei stabbed in the stomach by the kidnapper, and Ning Zihan was terrified but quickly approached to ask about An Baobei’s condition.

An Baobei pulled out the folding knife and tossed it aside, then forced a smile despite sweating profusely and trembling teeth, ”You can’t stay here waiting for the police now, you have to take me to the hospital quickly.”

As he spoke, he ignored Ning Zihan and struggled to head towards the convertible.

Upon seeing this, Ning Zihan hurriedly helped An Baobei into the car.

He sat in the driver’s seat, driving with tightly pursed lips, his hands noticeably shaking if you paid close attention.

The convertible had just driven a short distance when the police arrived, but Ning Zihan had no mind to speak to them, focused solely on accelerating the car to get An Baobei to the hospital, while An Baobei, enduring the pain, shouted to the police that she was injured and needed to go to the hospital first.

As soon as Ning Zihan got An Baobei to the hospital, the medical staff took An Baobei into the operating room.

Ning Zihan said nothing, just sat on the bench outside the operating room, staring blankly, his face devoid of color, looking at his hands covered in An Baobei’s blood.

His body was still trembling slightly.

He was afraid, he was anxious, afraid that An Baobei would just vanish like this, worried that An Baobei would just vanish like this.

The police arrived at the hospital to ask Ning Zihan about the situation, but Ning Zihan was in no state to respond, so the police decided to wait until Ning Zihan calmed down before questioning him.

An hour later, An Baobei was wheeled out of the operating room. Thanks to the anesthetic, An Baobei had fallen asleep and hadn’t woken up.

Ning Zihan saw An Baobei’s eyes closed and began to tremble and stutter, ”Doctor, she... she... she...”

For a long time, he couldn’t finish his question.

Fortunately, the doctor understood Ning Zihan’s intent and reassured him, ”Luckily, no vital areas were affected, but she lost a lot of blood, and the wound is quite deep, she’ll need to stay in the hospital for a while until it heals.”

Ning Zihan felt relieved instantly, but his body still trembled slightly, especially his hands helping to push the hospital bed.

Even those present could see how deeply afraid Ning Zihan was of losing the woman in that hospital bed.

Ning Zihan requested a VIP hospital room, so naturally, An Baobei was moved into a VIP room.

After sitting by An Baobei’s bedside for a long while, Ning Zihan finally calmed enough to communicate normally with people, first making a police report, and then calling Su Changyi and the others to inform them of An Baobei’s injury.
