Chapter 2317: Chapter 2318: Pursuing An Baobei (18)

As soon as An Baobei saw him, she became unhappy: ”Who let you in, get out!”

Ning Zihan didn’t mind An Baobei’s rudeness towards him, but walked to the bedside, placed the fruit basket on the bedside table, and asked calmly, ”Why did your mom leave so abruptly, what happened?”

”You’ve already met my mom, can’t you just ask her directly, why ask me!”

”I don’t want to ask her.” He paused, ”I hate women, you know that.”

An Baobei gritted her teeth: ”I’m also a woman!”

”I don’t hate you.”

”You clearly said before that you hated me!”

”I’ve already explained to you why, how long do you intend to keep this up?”

An Baobei immediately sneered: ”Have you forgotten, I’ve also explained to you before, that I stopped liking you a long time ago!”

”I haven’t forgotten.” He paused, ”But I still want to be with you.”

”So, what are you doing now?” An Baobei sneered again.

”Pursuing you.”

An Baobei laughed in anger, ”I don’t like you anymore, I even quite dislike you, pursuing me now will just make you annoying!”

Ning Zihan said nothing, but pulled up a chair to sit by the bedside, looking at her.

An Baobei was furious: ”You’re taking advantage of the fact that no one is here to control me, right?”

”Even if no one is here to take care of you, I will, don’t worry.”

”Who are you to me?! Why do I need you to take care of me! Leave, don’t let me see you, seeing you just makes me angry!”

”Then when will you calm down?” She had been angry with him for almost six days, logically, she should have calmed down by now.

”I’ll never calm down!”

Ning Zihan didn’t say anything, just continued to sit there looking at her.

An Baobei said a few more angry words, seeing that Ning Zihan still wouldn’t leave, she got lazy about being angry, feeling it wasn’t worth it. But she still turned her head, showing the back of her head to Ning Zihan.

Ning Zihan didn’t mind, and asked, ”Do you want some fruit?”

An Baobei didn’t respond.

Ning Zihan still didn’t mind, looking at the fruit in the basket, then picked some to wash, and chose an apple to peel.

After peeling it, he quietly handed it over without much expression: ”Here.”

Thinking that he had already peeled it, An Baobei turned her face back and took the apple with her right hand, eating as she said, ”I want to watch TV.”

Ning Zihan went to the table, picked up the remote control, and turned on the TV.

Then, he placed the remote on the bedside table, making it easy for An Baobei to reach.

Seeing Ning Zihan’s attentiveness from the corner of her eye, An Baobei said nothing and continued eating the apple while watching the TV that was already on.

Seeing An Baobei enjoying the TV, Ning Zihan asked again, ”Where was your mom rushing off to?”

An Baobei immediately gave him a side-eye: ”Are you sure you want to know where my mom went?”

Though expressionless, Ning Zihan was quite honest: ”I don’t really care, I just want to know when she’ll be back.”

An Baobei immediately scoffed: ”Why do you want to know when she’ll be back?”

”If she’s not back, I can stay here longer.”

”You’re something else,” An Baobei immediately got angry, her beautiful eyes glaring, ”You’re taking advantage of me being bedridden so I can’t hit you! I told you to leave and you still won’t go!”

Ning Zihan frowned, puzzled by An Baobei’s strong reaction. He simply said, ”I want to take care of you, you know that.”
