Chapter 2315: Chapter 2316: Pursuing An Baobei (16)

Ning Zihan knew that An Baobei had a good relationship with An Jing and Su Changyi, but he didn’t expect it to be so close, to the point that she even told them about him kissing her.

After a five-second silence, Ning Zihan felt he should have some reaction. This person is someone An Baobei cares about a lot, and now they’re talking to him, he really can’t ignore them.

So, Ning Zihan just nodded slightly, indicating he understood, but still sat there.

An Jing couldn’t help but smile bitterly: ”Pushing her like this won’t help, it might even make her more averse to you.”

Saying so, An Jing couldn’t help but continue to reprimand: ”Why doesn’t she like you? It’s all your own doing!”

Ning Zihan also felt it was his own doing, and nodded again, but still said nothing.

An Jing said in an annoyed tone: ”Your way of pursuing is really off-putting, especially at your age, even using fasting to threaten Baobei into being with you. Baobei doesn’t like you anymore, she’s not afraid of your threats. At most, she’ll just feel a bit guilty.”

Ning Zihan was startled, then calmly said: ”I wasn’t fasting.” After a pause, ”I didn’t eat lunch because I wasn’t hungry.”

In other words, if he was hungry, he would eat.

An Jing was momentarily embarrassed. It turned out he wasn’t doing it on purpose, he just wasn’t hungry.

Chuckling awkwardly several times, seeing that Ning Zihan still had no intention of leaving, An Jing turned around and went back to the hospital room.

After closing the door, she walked to the bedside and whispered to An Baobei: ”He won’t leave. Oh, and he didn’t eat lunch because he wasn’t hungry. Once he is hungry, he will eat.”

An Baobei immediately sneered: ”As if I care whether he eats or not. Mom, don’t ever mention him to me again. If he wants to sit outside, let him sit however long he wants. Let’s see if he can sit there forever without leaving!”

An Jing just thought her dear daughter was being stubborn.

She could actually tell that her dear daughter truly didn’t like Ning Zihan before, but after being kissed by him yesterday, their relationship had changed. Even if her dear daughter didn’t want it to change, it had. It was what it was.

As for whether her dear daughter could like Ning Zihan again in the future, she wasn’t sure and couldn’t guarantee it.

Just let nature take its course.

...

Su Mo and Su Xing were 15 months old, able to walk without support, and could call An Jing and Su Changyi daddy and mommy. Although An Jing was in E City taking care of An Baobei, she was very worried about her two little kids, so she and Su Changyi had long video calls every day, allowing Su Changyi to hold up the two kids for her to see.

When the two kids saw her face on the phone screen, they would grab the screen with their little hands, very excited, calling out, ”Mommy, Mommy...”

But this evening, while An Jing was on a video call with the two kids, they began crying as they called out, crying so pitifully, their little faces full of grievance, as if their mommy didn’t want them anymore, since their mommy was only in the phone now, not holding them, or playing with them like before.

An Jing tried to comfort them through the phone for a long time, but the two kids kept crying, crying to the point of hiccupping, breathless.

Watching them, An Jing felt her heart was being broken by their crying, but she couldn’t return, she had to take care of her dear daughter, who could still only lie flat, unable to sit up.
