Chapter 2329: Chapter 2330: Playing Along

An Baobei: ”Compared to me, they’re a bit younger, but aside from streaming, which I do at night, I’ve got nothing else to do during the day, so I’ll help look after them. You just go to work.”

An Jing thought for a moment, but still shook her head, saying, ”I’ll wait until your little brother and sister are two years old before going back to work at the company. They’re just starting to walk and can barely talk. I really can’t be at ease. Your dad can’t either. Otherwise, he wouldn’t stay home helping me with the kids whenever he doesn’t need to be at the company.”

”Dad can’t be without you, not without little brother and sister!”

An Jing chuckled, ”Don’t talk about your dad like that. He should be coming down soon, and if he hears you, you’ll definitely get a flick on the head.”

An Baobei just grinned mischievously.

”Mom, that...” Suddenly, An Baobei recalled how Ning Zihan just carried her little siblings around. She wanted to tell An Jing, but as she started to speak, her attention drifted to the glass of water on the table, so she closed her mouth and said nothing.

”What is it?” Seeing her baby girl about to speak but then stopping, An Jing asked with a smile.

”Oh, nothing, just thinking being a housewife isn’t right for you,” An Baobei said offhandedly.

An Jing lightly tapped An Baobei on the head, ”I have a happy family and a loving husband, so it doesn’t matter if I’m a housewife or not. Besides, I can’t even be called a housewife—I just take care of the kids at home while others do everything else. What’s going on in your head.”

An Baobei grinned again and let the matter slide.

Su Changyi came down after his shower and, after sitting in the living room for a bit, joined An Jing to take one baby each upstairs.

An Baobei watched Su Changyi and An Jing go upstairs. Only after they vanished at the stairs on the second floor did she lower her gaze and look at the glass in front of her again.

Her feelings were a bit complicated.

But she soon cast it aside, went up, took a shower, and went to bed. She had already decided he could pursue her all he wanted, but she wouldn’t agree or respond in any way.

...

In the following days, whenever they had meals together and saw An Baobei just playing with her phone and only eating what was in front of her, Ning Zihan would help rotate the lazy Susan so An Baobei could have different dishes.

Sometimes, when An Baobei was so engrossed in her phone that she wasn’t eating, Ning Zihan would thoughtfully put food in her bowl.

Initially, An Baobei really didn’t want to eat the food Ning Zihan placed in her bowl, feeling like Ning Zihan was pushing his luck, but she couldn’t lose her temper in front of Ning Wuze. So, from then on, she stopped using her phone during meals and focused on eating.

An Baobei had long had the habit of playing with her phone during meals, and even Su Chengyu did too. However, Su Haoyu would directly tell Su Chengyu about it but never said anything to An Baobei, and An Jing had also talked to Su Chengyu about An Baobei’s habit several times, but An Baobei wouldn’t listen, so they eventually let it go.

Now, surprisingly, Ning Zihan managed to put an end to An Baobei’s bad habit in just a few meals, leaving An Jing and the others amazed.

When Ning Zihan wasn’t around, An Jing and the others teased An Baobei about it.

An Baobei huffed, ”I just don’t want him doing that to me anymore, it’s not that I’ve broken the habit. Once he’s gone and I’m not eating with him, I’ll go back to playing with my phone during meals.”

An Jing laughed, ”It’s better you changed the habit. Since you managed to hold back with great difficulty, don’t do it anymore, save your dad the need to remind you once in a while.”
