Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2316: Chapter 2317: Pursuing An Baobei (17)

An Baobei saw the situation and couldn’t bear seeing her little siblings cry like this, so she said, ”Mom, you should go back. Look at how much Mo Mo and Xin Xin miss you.”

An Jing felt distressed but insisted, ”Your injury hasn’t healed yet, I need to take care of you.”

”Just hire a caregiver, you really don’t need to be here.”

”A caregiver isn’t as caring as a real mom, anyway, I can’t rest easy.”

”You’re okay with Mo Mo and Xin Xin?”

”Don’t they have your dad? I just have a bit of unease, but when it comes to you, I have a lot of it. I’ll stay here to take care of you, so stop trying to persuade me.”

When a person stays in a hospital, who wouldn’t want their family to take care of them? It’s not just care, it’s also emotional support. Naturally, An Baobei wanted her mom An Jing to look after her. Only with her mom taking care of her, she wouldn’t feel awkward, and she’d feel at ease.

But she really didn’t want to see her siblings in that state.

Yet An Jing, her mother, asked her not to persuade her anymore.

An Baobei thought for a moment, then tried to persuade differently, ”How about this, mom? You go back to see Mo Mo and Xin Xin, and then come back to take care of me, okay? S City isn’t far from E City, the round trip on a plane is at most three and a half hours, even if you stay at home for a few hours, it doesn’t need to be a whole day.”

An Jing thought it feasible upon hearing this and said, ”Then I’ll go back tomorrow.”

”Alright,”

An Jing quickly used her plan to go back tomorrow to soothe the two kids on the other end of the phone. Although Mo Mo and Xin Xin couldn’t say much, they could understand some things. They probably truly understood that An Jing would come back to see them, so they slowly stopped crying.

When Mo Mo and Xin Xin fell asleep, Su Changyi called Lu Yimi to arrange a private jet to pick An Jing back to S City at eight o’clock the next morning.

On the next day, when An Jing woke up, she started taking care of An Baobei, helping her brush teeth and wash her face. An Baobei had been lying in bed for five days, but because the wound was too deep, it hadn’t healed, and she couldn’t move. Moving would tear open the stitched wound, so An Jing was busy all the time, and An Baobei was flatly lying there being attended to by An Jing.

If it weren’t for the pain in her abdomen, being cared for by An Jing, An Baobei would surely feel very comfortable.

Only after serving An Baobei breakfast, An Jing picked up her bag, but couldn’t help reminding her, ”Mom has already talked to the nurse. If anything happens, press that bell; I’ll only be gone five hours, mom will definitely be back in five hours.”

An Baobei laughed and said, ”Mom, no need to rush. You only need to come back before dark, I’m not scared during the day.”

”Mom knows, but if anything happens, make sure to press the bell,” An Jing couldn’t help but remind again before walking out.

Once out of the ward, An Jing hurriedly walked towards the elevator, and she met Ning Zihan in the corridor.

Ning Zihan was carrying a fruit basket.

He had rented out the whole floor, so naturally Ning Zihan was here to visit An Baobei.

Seeing An Jing in such a hurry, Ning Zihan didn’t ask anything but stepped aside so An Jing wouldn’t brush past him.

Seeing Ning Zihan subconsciously keeping a distance from her as a woman, An Jing felt speechless but still smiled politely at Ning Zihan before continuing quickly towards the elevator.

Ning Zihan didn’t watch her enter the elevator, as soon as An Jing walked past him, Ning Zihan continued forward and stopped at An Baobei’s ward door. After a knock on the door, he pushed the door open and went inside.
