Chapter 2318: Chapter 2319: Pursuing An Baobei (19)

An Baobei hummed while watching TV, ”It’s not like you don’t know that I don’t like you now.”

Ning Zihan was a bit at a loss for words. It was his own foolishness that led him to this point, so he couldn’t blame her for treating him this way now.

After a long silence, Ning Zihan spoke again, ”Is it because I kissed you that you dislike me so much? How about I let you kiss me back?”

An Baobei wanted to slap Ning Zihan across the face, fury like a storm raging in her heart, ”How is it fair for the woman to always take the loss! And you want me to kiss you back?! Are you even capable of being a proper man?!”

Ning Zihan remained calm and said plainly, ”If I were really that indecent, I wouldn’t have just kissed you.”

An Baobei immediately scoffed coldly, ”Oh, so you want to do something even worse to me?”

Ning Zihan paused and then asked, ”Are you sure you want to continue talking about this? Hesitating for a moment, ”You’re so conservative, I’m a bit worried that if we keep talking, it might be too much for you to handle.”

An Baobei, having once been educated by some small films, naturally understood the implication in Ning Zihan’s words, her face instantly turned red with embarrassment, and she cursed, ”You’re doing it on purpose!”

Ning Zihan didn’t argue, simply saying, ”You know in your heart whether I’m doing it on purpose or not.”

His words made her instantly feel as if she was being unreasonable. An Baobei glared at him fiercely and fell silent.

But Ning Zihan spoke again, asking her, ”What would it take for you to not be angry?”

”If you don’t let me see you, then I won’t be angry.”

”I can’t do that.”

”Then why are you asking?”

”Because I don’t want you to be angry.”

An Baobei pouted and hummed, ”Do you intend to pester me like I used to do?”

”I never said you pestered me.”

”But you did say you were afraid I’d cling to you!”

”I only said that because I didn’t want to admit that I like you. You never clung to me.”

”So, you’re saying you’ve liked me for a long time?”

”Yes.”

”How long?”

”I don’t know.” He paused, ”Probably before I told you not to like me.”

An Baobei burst into laughter, ”Haha, then I’m not at such a loss. You deserve it, it’s all your own doing. If you hadn’t been such a jerk, maybe I would still like you now.”

”When do you think you could like me again?”

An Baobei immediately stopped laughing and said coldly, ”You hurt me so badly back then. Do you think I can ever like you again?”

”It’s up to the people involved.”

”Then try your best.” An Baobei sneered, her tone full of sarcasm.

Ning Zihan nodded, ”Okay.”

An Baobei: ”...”

Since An Jing hadn’t returned, Ning Zihan just stayed in An Baobei’s hospital room. An Baobei realized she couldn’t drive Ning Zihan away and didn’t want to get up and make her stitched wound reopen, so she stopped trying to kick him out. Instead, she took the opportunity to order Ning Zihan around to do this and that.

Because it was due to An Baobei’s injury, plus he liked An Baobei, Ning Zihan was more than willing to comply with An Baobei’s orders, feeling a sweet suffering.

Even if his face showed no expression.

At two-thirty in the afternoon, An Jing returned, and upon seeing Ning Zihan in the hospital room, she was momentarily taken aback. Then she smiled and asked, ”I’ve been gone for a few hours. Have you been here the whole time?”

Ning Zihan was silent.

An Baobei, however, said in a sarcastic tone, ”Of course he’s been here the whole time, couldn’t drive him away.”
