Chapter 2336: Chapter 2337: Making a Comeback

An Baobei just smiled and said nothing more. Mainly because there was nothing to say. She didn’t want to be hurt by Ning Zihan again, so she wouldn’t fall for Ning Zihan anymore. It was that simple.

...

Ning Zihan said he estimated it would take two months to return from abroad, so he really stayed abroad for a full two months before coming back.

This was the result of his working overtime.

Otherwise, it would have taken him three or four months to come back.

As soon as he returned to E City, he reinstated his private number, and once it was done, he texted An Baobei.

He hadn’t texted An Baobei for a month and a half, so he planned to make up for it. Thus, that day, he sent forty-five texts inviting An Baobei to dinner and another forty-five love messages, each one unique.

The entire afternoon, he did nothing but send texts to An Baobei.

As An Baobei watched her phone receive messages intermittently until evening, a total of ninety messages, all from Ning Zihan’s private number, she knew without thinking that Ning Zihan reinstated his number and that these messages were the ones he hadn’t sent before.

Feeling speechless, An Baobei just looked up at the sky and didn’t reply to Ning Zihan with even a single word.

An Baobei spent the afternoon in An Jing’s room, with An Jing looking after the two little babies, Su Mo and Su Xing, together. Naturally, An Jing also heard An Baobei’s phone constantly buzzing all afternoon and knew it was Ning Zihan sending messages.

Finally, An Jing laughed and said, ”It seems he never intended to give up on pursuing you. Look at him, back in the country and already on the move. Haha.”

”Mom, why are you so happy? I’m not happy at all. I don’t want him to pursue me.” An Baobei looked at An Jing quite unhappily.

”I just find it funny how he keeps sending texts. Don’t be upset, it’s the same old story: if you can’t fall for him, no matter how much he pursues you, it won’t matter much—it’s just somewhat annoying. Besides, if you’re annoyed, just ignore him as if he doesn’t exist. It’s not a big deal.”

”That’s what I’m thinking too.” Immediately, An Baobei’s eyes lit up, ”Mom, Uncle Lu hasn’t found a girlfriend yet, why don’t I give it a try with Uncle Lu?”

An Jing really appreciated Lu Yimi, thinking he was reliable, and smiled, ”If you really can get together with your Uncle Lu, your dad and I would be delighted. Your grandpa should be happy too; he’s always thought of him as a godson. But... I think your Uncle Lu wouldn’t be willing to try with you. Last time you suggested it, he didn’t agree.”

”Just because he didn’t agree last time doesn’t mean he won’t agree this time. Besides, almost a year has passed since I last suggested it, and Uncle Lu still hasn’t found a girlfriend. I think if I suggest it again, maybe Uncle Lu would really agree.”

An Jing corrected, ”Your Uncle Lu isn’t unable to find a girlfriend, he just has high standards. He’s been picking and picking, and in the end, he finds none suitable, so he hasn’t dated anyone.”

An Baobei giggled, ”Maybe Uncle Lu and I are just destined to be together.”

An Jing laughed and shook her head, ”Don’t scare your Uncle Lu. I think he really doesn’t see you as a prospective romantic partner; he truly sees you as a niece. Besides, he always remembers the kindness your grandpa showed him and doesn’t want you, a member of the Su Family, to end up being on bad terms if things don’t work out.”
