Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2326: Chapter 2327: She’s Riding on His Head?

Seeing Su Chengyu feeling so protective of Ning Wenxian and wanting to care for her during her postpartum period, An Jing naturally won’t compete with Su Chengyu.

Ning Wenxian, on the other hand, felt sweet as honey inside.

...

Because Ning Wuze had already agreed beforehand that when Ning Wenxian gave birth, he would stay some extra days at the Su Family’s house. So now, with Ning Wenxian having given birth, Ning Wuze naturally stayed there to properly hold his granddaughter.

With Ning Wuze, the father-in-law, settled in, it wouldn’t be right for Ning Zihan, the brother-in-law, to stay at a hotel again. So Su Chengyu asked Ning Zihan to stay as well.

In the past, Ning Zihan would have refused, but things are different now. Ning Zihan is now pursuing An Baobei, and An Baobei is in this house. Therefore, when Su Chengyu, his brother-in-law, asked him to stay, he agreed to stay as well.

Even though her father and brother couldn’t take care of her during her postpartum period, Ning Wenxian was happy to have them stay at her home for a while.

”Baobei, let my brother hold Sweetie for a bit.” Ning Wenxian decided to lend her brother a hand when she saw An Baobei happily holding Su Tian, with her brother standing aside just watching.

Initially, An Baobei ignored Ning Zihan, but since Ning Wenxian had already spoken up, and Ning Wuze was present, An Baobei didn’t want to act petty. Without saying a word, she carefully transferred Su Tian to Ning Zihan’s arms.

Ning Zihan had never held a child before and didn’t know how, but he still carefully took Su Tian into his arms.

”You’re not holding her right!” An Baobei couldn’t help but speak up when she saw Ning Zihan clumsily supporting Su Tian with both hands and worried he might drop her.

This could be considered acknowledging him.

Ning Zihan was quite delighted inside, but his face remained expressionless as he asked, ”How should I hold her then?”

An Baobei immediately took Su Tian back into her arms, letting Ning Zihan watch how she held the baby. ”Hold her like this. Do you see?”

Ning Zihan nodded, ”I see.”

Ning Wuze was very surprised. Although they all knew Ning Zihan liked An Baobei and was pursuing her, Ning Zihan’s personality had never allowed anyone to overshadow him before. Now, An Baobei clearly overshadowed him, yet he didn’t mind at all.

Having gotten used to being somewhat fierce with Ning Zihan, An Baobei didn’t find his submissiveness awkward. After teaching him how to hold Su Tian properly again, she finally felt assured enough to let Ning Zihan hold Su Tian.

With baby Su Tian around, An Baobei’s relationship with Ning Zihan slightly improved.

Ning Wenxian had just given birth and was still in the hospital, with Su Chengyu caring for her there. Thus, the Su Family’s dinner table was only attended by Su Haoyu, Ning Wuze, Su Changyi, An Jing, An Baobei, Ning Zihan, and the 17-month-old Su Mo and Su Xing.

An Jing held Su Xing while using a small spoon to feed her egg custard.

Su Changyi held Su Mo while using a small spoon to feed him egg custard.

Su Haoyu and Ning Wuze chatted as they ate, with both of them visibly joyful because of Ning Wenxian’s childbirth.

Meanwhile, An Baobei ate while playing with her phone.

Ning Zihan was eating at first, but when he saw An Baobei playing on her phone and only picking the food closest to her instead of reaching for others on the table, he was a bit worried that this behavior might lead to malnutrition. He didn’t want to upset An Baobei by suggesting she stop playing on her phone...
