COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

....Nagumo felt like he just entered into a Twilight zone.

What a brave new world!

“I’m actually quite disappointed with Nagumo-senpai that you’re still considering personal relationships until now. This is clearly just class interest,” Hachiman shook his head slightly.

“...looked down upon again....”

“I don’t know any of the students in Class C and D of 3rd grade, but they all cooperated with me because of class interests.”

The class evaluation scores of Grade 3 Class C and D have reached a hopeless point.

They won’t be able to move up even if given another year, so in this exam where the score gap is so huge, if they are bribed, will most likely accept.

Because will face the same situation when they graduate.

Can only rely on their own studies to prepare for entrance exams and no way to take shortcuts.

Gave up on Advanced Nurturing....

However, when students graduate, school will purchase their points with money at a certain ratio.

In this way, buying them off with points is equivalent to giving real money, which is very helpful for their further studies and tuition fees.

This is also more humane aspect.

Even if you know there is no hope of promotion, you still have advantages over ordinary schools outside.

Therefore, seniors in the lower classes of 3rd grade who knew there was no hope, but found they could still make some extra money, might actually be bribed!

It can be said now they can actually stay out of this kind of school examinations because there is no hope left to promote...Class A.

Then it doesn’t matter how miserable, as long as there is some compensation.

Nothing else matters.

Thus, 3rd-year classes C and D both supported Hachiman’s side.

“But person in charge of 1st grade is from Class D, her name is Manabe Shiho, right? How could she cooperate with you? Not only will she be expelled, but she will also be given a -300 class evaluation score,” Nagumo still felt puzzled a lot.

“You may not know this, but we first-year students chose leaders very quickly because of a girl Shiina Hiyori.”

“.....” Nagumo was silent, he actually knew this girl. She gave a death glare in his direction for keep staring at her legs for a while.

Then he fell down the stairs on getting out of school’s library....

’I always think she is crazy and that girl took reign...In other words, first graders completed the steps of forming teams and selecting group leaders very smoothly.’

“Reason is simple. Class D of first grade took up all 12 group leaders. Their class evaluation score was reduced to 0, and people have been starving....So it’s understandable that girls want to make some money here....Given plight of Ryuen, first-year D class trust personal points more than evaluation scores. So what they want is money.....”

“Haha, you are rich and willful indeed!” Nagumo mocked on being losing everything out of content, “Then, apart from being bribed, you also paid for Manabe Shiho’s 20 million points of resurrection!”

??? Hachiman. ’what is this guy speaking? Do you even know who I am? Will I spend any money?’

“In your preferential treatment exam, there is a possibility of gaining a large number of points!” At that time, Nagumo was in Student council and knew that first-year students had obtained a huge amount of points issued by the school.

It was impossible for so many students to make gold, so Nagumo felt there was a middleman.

’And since Sakayanagi didn’t take exam, it could only be Hikigaya Hachiman who interfered....’ So, Nagumo concluded that other party had money, so Hikigaya could definitely resurrect a student.

“No, I’m definitely not the one paying. I’m a little short of money, so I’m here to make a fortune. And Manabe, she should have chosen to drop out of school, because she was starving all the way, so she might have accepted 2-3 million points and left directly. So in fact, it’s not expensive to let Manabe be the person in cha----”

“....you are joking? Not even a penny?”

“Yeah, I didn’t pay for all this....”

Nagumo’s eyes almost came bulging out of his two balls! ’Aren’t you the one who pays?’

”That is to say—” Nagumo somehow opened his eyes wide.

Suddenly, his mouth felt dry.

“Horikita Manabu knows—”

’A feeling of dread....that guy really cursed me! I will find him and slit hi--’

“Of course, all the expenses will be borne by 3rd-year class A.”

“No-no-no.....I must be drea----”

“Don’t act like Yamauchi, anyway I have girls to meet with.” After test results were announced, school allowed the students to disperse freely, gather at gymnasium entrance in afternoon, and ride bus back.

At this time, Hachiman turned around and left, because Manabu had already brought the students from Class A to form a team to ridicule Nagumo.

While Nagumo was still standing in the original position, he found that students from Class A, Grade 3, with glowing red eyes had swarmed around him.

Manabu faced him coldly like Grim.

“Didn’t you say you wouldn’t involve other people?!”

“G-Go away...leav...leave me alone, y-you are scaring me...p-please I-I....No-no-no....aahhh!”

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Nagumo understood that he was probably doomed.

The original plan was to make Horikita Manabu’s Class A fail miserably, and then would have to rely on him in order to maintain position in Class A.

Result, evaluation score of Manabu’s class not only did not deduct much, but also increased by about 100 points.

So Nagumo is suffering a heavy loss.

Not only did 3rd-grade Class B, which was supported, miss the best opportunity, but have to maintain its status as Class B and become of little use.

On his side, he would have to bear the punishment from person in charge of 3rd-grade Class B of last-place group.

It costs 20 million points to revive Asahina, and Class 2-A will get -300 points for being the last one.

Although Class 3-B was willing to pay to bail out students before, that was because plan was successful.

Now Class 3-B has lost the possibility of competing with Class 3-A.

Not only that, Although Manabu came over, he was holding a recorder.

Started playing immediately after the button was pressed.

[Vice President Nagumo, aren’t you worried that you will be held accountable for interfering in other grades exams in this way?]

[Hehe, indeed, President Horikita called me over for a talk, but now the situation is urgent, who gives a fuck about this?]

Shit....

And Nagumo was very clear about this conversation, which was one he just had with Hikigaya.

’I never expected that he would record....Therefore, position as V-Vice president is probably no longer secure.Uuughhhh....I really hope this exam is just a dream.’

xxxxx

After forest exam, only top 2 will receive class evaluation score, and only the bottom two will have deductions.

1st grade.

There are also 2 groups on the list.

They are Group 1 for boys and Group 5 for boys respectively.

The first group consists of 9 boys from Class A + 3 boys from Class B + 3 boys from Class D.

The fifth group consists of 14 boys from Class C and 1 boy from Class D.

Last two groups to be punished were both girls.

The second to last group is 6 people from Class 1-A, Grade 1, 2 people from Class 1-B, Grade 1, and 3 people from 1-D.

Last ones are Class A of Grade 1 with 6 students, Class B with 5 students, and D’s 4 students.

This is how score calculation begins.

Class A (Ichinose) 1371 + 121.5 - 59.4 - 135 = 1298.1 points

Class B (Horikita) 1291 + 27 - 19.8 - 112.5 = 1185.7 points

Class C (Sakayanagi) 1108 + 42 = 1150.

Class D (Ryuen’s) = Because the score is definitely not enough to be deducted, it is still 0 points.

This is test result.

So evaluation scores of each class changed again.

Although exam was very difficult, Hachiman managed to keep place in Class B.

“phew----” After Hirata finished calculating the results, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Although whole class spent 100,000 points each, exam was not that bad.

In addition to 125 points of class were given to Koenji, everyone still has 100,000 yen for living.

It shouldn’t be a problem.

“Are you satisfied with this result?” A girl’s voice came from behind Hachiman, who couldn’t help but turn sideways.

This is a girl with long silver-white hair and very beautiful facial features.

Guess who...

Sakayanagi or Hiyori.
