COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Hasebe Haruka, both the first and last name are very nice.

She is a beautiful girl with blue hair, beautiful appearance and a super voluptuous body.

There is a beauty mole under the corner of her left eye.

She is a very conspicuous girl.

It seems that because of her large breasts, she was nominated by Yamauchi in the beauty ranking list that he and his friends made at the beginning of school.

But Hachiman had never spoken to her directly, so it was a bit surprising that she was the type who liked to gossip her mouth.

Unlike Sakura, who is also big but introverted.

”Isn’t it? Your grades are giving me a migraine!” Yukimura complained, “And you were one of the last to place in the Sports festival, so if you don’t work hard, chances of you failing the course are too high!”

“What do you mean by you? Everyone has things they are not good at!” Haruka seemed to be dissatisfied with being blamed.

”Alright, alright.” It seemed that if they continued to talk, group would quarrel, so Hirata had to take over the mess left after Koenji ran away and let Sudo and the others join his group.

He would coach them.

Yukimura’s partner is Ike Kanji.

Knowing that Yukimura was a good student, he was type to be led around.

He kept quiet and didn’t say anything, to avoid any problems that would have otherwise caused him to be in trouble if he didn’t follow the list.

Hachiman’s group consists of six people, Yukimura, Ike Kanji, Hasebe and Miyake, leaving him and Sato-san alone without talking.

However, Sato just remained silent on the surface.

[Why doesn’t Hikigaya-kun wear glasses these days?]

[You look more handsome with those.]

Originally, Hachiman was a little worried that she would feel resentful because he refused to partner with her in class yesterday and matched with Ayanokoji, but now it seems there is no need to worry.

[I’ve noticed that you’re wearing plain glasses, right? Sakura-san seems to be wearing the same thing. Could it be that she is also wearing glasses...

Oh no, she’s already wearing them, is she the type that looks better without them? I kind of want to see what Sakura-san really looks like....]

’The other party is quite noisy....’ Hachiman had never noticed her being so talkative around Karuizawa.

After school, the class was divided into several groups because they were going to have a study session.

As top students, Horikita, Kushida, Hirata, Wang Miyu, and Yukimura are all team leaders.

Suzune chose the library, but Yukimura and the others chose an outdoor cafe.

This was Hasebe’s request, and she thought that drinking something refreshing might help improve her concentration.

No one rejected this point, because poor students have one thing in common: an instinctive resistance to studying seriously.

”Huh? Where’s Hasebe?”

Just as the last class was over, Haruka disappeared from the classroom for some unknown reason.

”Did she run away?!” Yukimura, the instructor, expressed his anger.

“Hasebe is not that kind of person. She probably left first?” Akito tried to defend.

“Why is it necessary to leave first?!”

“There must be various things.” Akito seemed to know Haruka well enough to not be particularly worried.

So everyone went to the book club’s scheduled location - Cafe.

Then actually saw Hasebe outside.

“Why did you leave first?” Yukimura demanded as soon as he saw girl’s figure using his clothes removal glasses.

”Why? Should I say it’s because I don’t want to attract attention? It’s a bit inconvenient in class—”

Hasebe replied in an unclear tone.

“You mean you hate being seen talking to us?!” Yukimura seemed to understand that as humiliation, so his face suddenly turned red.

“That’s not the case. I have my own reasons....” She was pretty cool.

Well, Hachiman has a preliminary understanding of what kind of person Haruka is.

The long-lost talent of the human observer is working again.

Then everyone chose an empty table, but when arranging the seats, Hachiman was a little surprised that after he sat down, Sato was next to him.

Because it was an orthodox study session, everyone sat down without much chatting.

”Did you all bring your test papers for this quiz as I instructed?” Yukimura said, as the only top student, he was under a lot of pressure.

After quickly collecting the papers of his team members, he fell into a state of emptiness.

Hachiman guessed he was worried about why there are students in the world so bad at studying.

He first named Haruka and Akito.

Yukimura has to take care of five students by himself, and it is difficult to guide them one by one.

”I thought you two were really good friends, but it turns out that your strengths and weaknesses overlap so much,” Yukimura now almost spit his blood on the table.

“Hasebe talked to me when I was studying in the library before. It was something like that,” Akito clearly explained the relationship between himself and Haruka.

So this shows that she is an extrovert, and easy to judge introverts.

“Miyachi and I are both the lonely type and can’t fully integrate into the class,” Haruka was just running her mouth again, “Hikigaya-kun, what do you think we can do to better to mix up with others?”

“……” Ask him?

Listening to her talk, Hachiman felt resistance, and at the same time thought it would be better not to have anything to do with her, because she seemed to have just called Miyake Akito “Miyachi?”

“…”

In other words, she probably likes giving people nicknames.

Hachiman did not appreciate her ability to give people nicknames because he already had a lot.

Things like Hikigaya, Hikigaya frog, Hikigaya penguin, etc...

“Because my head is too big!” Yukimura felt a headache looking at everyone’s grades, and he said, ”So next I have to think about how to study. Although I’m sorry, I need some time.”

“Understood. Then can we just have a cup of tea and wait for you?” The others had no objection.

Haruka took out her cell phone and relaxed without delay.

Indeed, in this day and age, as long as you have a cell phone, you can easily kill time.

This is how most people deal with conversations in exam on the ship, but very few people would read books or something like that.

But not all girls do this, because Hachiman found that Sato, who was sitting next to him, didn’t make any move to pick up her phone.

She just put her hands on the table and looked at him slightly with her body tilted.

Hello.

It was the first time that a girl looked at him with such a passionate gaze, and even Hachiman felt pressured.

”Come to think of it.” Perhaps noticing his predicament, Haruka suddenly pressed down his phone, “Speaking of which, Hikigaya.”

She now directly called out to Hachiman without using any sign of honorifics, “Aren’t you going to do anything for this special exam?”

Eh?

“Like when we were taking the exam on old questions before, you invited students from Class B to come and give everyone extra lessons,” Haruka was very curious.

”...” Hachiman.

In other words, now that you have another written test, why don’t Hikigaya ask the students from Class B to come over?

Haruka was actually a little worried about her grades, she even knew that Ichinose also rejected him.

After all, she was one of the bottom members of the sports festival, got -10 points in all subjects.

Then, passing score for her and her partner together is 70 points, and the total score for all subjects is 780.

The pressure suddenly increased.

But she had beautiful thoughts. ’Please ask top students from Class B to come over and help!’

“The students in Class B also have exams, and they probably have set up study groups, so they’re busy too!” Yukimura explained, who was just in distress of being looked down upon by Haruka and others.

But Hachiman thinks he is wrong.

Because Class B and D are paired for the exam.

Among them, Class D is so poor they have no food to eat.

Hiyori even borrowed money.

In other words, Class D definitely wanted to sell everything they could this time, so 200 points were given directly to Class B, and Ichinose paid them price.

So what Class B needs to do is to memorize the test papers given by Hiyori and others, so most of the students are quite idle.

There is no need to hold study sessions and read books.

An invitation is more than enough.

Even though Class B is a saint, inviting them here still requires favors.

Why should Hachiman continue to spend his favors on sake of the current class?

Of course, he didn’t contact Ichinose.

At the same time, he didn’t make contact with Sakayanagi either.

After Kushida was fooled by Sakayanagi and started to provoke him, he never contacted bad loli again, and didn’t even go to the private room on the third floor for eating lunch.

But just as he was thinking, phone vibrated.

It’s a message.

[Come over for dinner. I’m at the steak house in the Shopping district.]

by Arisu Sakayanagi.

’Um, is she here too? Or maybe she just saw me on this side of the shopping street?’

Hey, hey, hey, Hachiman is also a man of strong character.

’How is it possible to go just when someone calls me over?’

Thinking so, Hachiman noticed that his phone was vibrating again.

[Your account has received 100,000 yen.]

’Doesn’t Sakayanagi Arisu use other means to invite people? It makes me look like someone who really likes money.’

After period of study session ended, Hachiman went to the steak house.
