COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Suzune was being corrupted.

Manabu was at school, and just as he was about to enter the office, he was stopped by someone.

It seemed that other person had been standing for a long time.

“Ryuen Kakeru?”

Manabu is no stranger to Ryuen, for example, he was reported for cheating in the sports festival, and he is the representative of Class D in first grade.

To be precise, this D class dropped from C.

But Manabu didn’t look down on Ryuen who used any means necessary.

Or maybe this school encouraged students to use dark means.

However, he could not agree with Ryuen’s approach.

Despite this, he would not bring personal emotions to bear on his juniors.

“what’s up?”

”Of course I have something to ask.” Ryuen didn’t waste more of his time, ”I’m here to ask about something that only the student council president would know.”

”Then please pay attention to your attitude,” Manabu was followed by the secretary Tachibana Akane, and said seriously while holding a notebook.

”Heh.” But do you think Ryuen is kind of person who would give others a good face? ”Are you talking to me in honor of your senior? What I want to ask is very simple, is it possible for the juniors to fight against the seniors?”

”With...senior grades...basic class rankings are based on year groups, so there’s no point in crossing years,” Manabu whispered, pushing up his glasses.

”And you’re a student in Class D, right?” Tachibana added with an upper gaze into her eyes, “You want to fight against the seniors...This isn’t some gam—”

”I’m not kidding!” Ryuen was getting furious, ”I just think those classmates of the same grade are boring. Besides, doesn’t this school love fighting? If we can’t even challenge higher-level students, then what’s the point? How dare we call ourselves an excellent class?”

”And so what if it’s Class D? Wasn’t there a student named Hikigaya who jumped from over 400 points to Class A? So Secretary Tachibana Akane, you may still fall down even if you’re in Class A,” Ryuen gave her a loud sneer, didn’t even care about Tachibana’s red face.

“you!”

It can be seen that things are not going well for Class 3-A, otherwise Tachibana would not have been angry about Ryuen’s words.

”Anyway, I’m looking forward to fighting with my seniors.” Ryuen said unscrupulously. ”After all, our D class has nothing left to lose.”

And although this is said, more like a threat.

Ryuen seemed to have just wanted to spread the word and left quickly.

”First-year Class D is a little too rampant.” Secretary Tachibana couldn’t help but complain outside her heart.

”Yeah.” Manabu nodded, frowning slightly.

Ryuen came to provoke on the day when semester was about to end, a poor choice of timing.

”But don’t worry too much, President.” Tachibana felt like he was being worked up for nothing, didn’t like guy’s attitude, ”Because if Ryuen from the first-year class D really had ability, he wouldn’t have ended this semester with a class evaluation score of 0....”

“You’re being too hot-headed Tachibana. In this first-year written test, opponent of Class D was B, and average score of latter is 88 points. Do you think such result can be obtained casually?”

”what do you mean……”

“Ryuen always comes with bad intentions,” Manabu slightly hoped more from his Tachibana, but well he can’t do anything.

For senior students, this month is also a special exam, and exam score is +100 points for the winning and -100 points for losing class.

They are third grade class A and class D facing off.

3rd grade class B and class C are competing against each other.

Class rating scores for third graders have been updated.

Grade 3

Class A 2254 points

Class B 1830 points

Class C, 310 points

Class D, scored 0 points.

B held on tightly.

Then situation of his Grade 3 Class A became less safe.

All this would not have been possible if Nagumo had not suddenly betrayed him during the Sports festival.

So some people suspected that Nagumo was not only suppressing him forcefully, but even reaching out to the first years.

For example, controlling Class D of the first grade.

Because Class D in Grade 1 is the most in need of money right now.

So Manabu became worried.

Here is Ryuen.

Although he had just acted unscrupulously in front of the student council, Ryuen looked at the text message he received with dissatisfaction.

[Ryuen, it will be the first of a new month soon. When can you return the points to me?] by Hikigaya Hachiman.

“…”

Ryuen still has a debt of 8 million.

When he woke up in the morning, saw Hikigaya sending him text messages to collect debts, so just made some harsh remarks to speed up the progress of paying off the debt.

After failing several times in exploiting students of the same arena, it should be okay to exploit students of other grades.

He felt that next semester would be the final competition for Class A among 3rd graders.

By then, will definitely be money to be made.

And now Ryuen is deliberately sending a message to the student council president.

In fact, it is also to attract a person’s attention.

Quickly, Ryuen found that an unfamiliar number added him.

Soon, he received a transfer to his account.

“drop!”

xxxxx

A few minutes later, Hachiman also received a transfer.

[Your account has received 400,000 points. The account balance is 15,731,000.]

After discovering the account arrival information, Hachiman hurried to check it out.

Found out it was sent by Ryuen.

”Where did you get the money?”

Ryuen has now taken a back seat, and the class is left to Hiyori, so he did not get the 200 points for this pairing test that she traded with Class B.

Ryuen retreated to the second line, which was very direct. He didn’t bring any benefits to the class before, so he quit.

But he would not be able to survive just relying on Hiyori, so he would wait until the class was in trouble and was absolutely needed, and then he takes power again.

Therefore, before the class became bad, Ryuen had power but no money.

So it seems a bit wrong to transfer 400,000 yen all at once.

[I provoked Horikita Manabu and attracted Nagumo’s attention.] by Ryuen.

[Nagumo wanted me to sell him votes for the Student council president election.]

’In other words, it was Nagumo-senpai who thought he could be recruited, so he gave Ryuen money.....’

Look at it this way.

Senior Nagumo is such a good person.

November 1st.

7 o’clock.

Almost on time, phone vibrated, indicating that Hachiman had received several messages.

It was already the holiday season, and Hachiman was woken up by this information.

He picked up phone beside the bed and took a look.

[Your account has received 129,100 points, and the current balance is 15.86 million]

[Your account has received 1.2 million personal points, and the current balance is 17.06 million]

[Your account has received 392,000 personal points, and the current balance is 17.452 million]

Um.....

Today is also a day with a lot of gains, but after the points are credited to his account, he also need to make some expenditures.

First, let’s look at the share of Koenji.

So Hachiman transferred the money to him first.

Then there was transaction with Ichinose regarding previous Deserted island exam, which also included Horikita and Kushida’s share, so Hachiman transferred 90,000 points to each of them, and then transferred 12,000 points to Karuizawa.

These are shares agreed upon at the beginning.

Hachiman is not a person who likes to default on his debts.

Although he was woken up during the holidays, no longer sleepy when he takes a nap now.

Plans to contact Suzune.

”Are you going to the cafeteria later?”

It was early now, so you could basically buy breakfast in the cafeteria.

Suzune took care of his lunch and dinner, so there was no breakfast.

Although the food expenses were paid, even Hachiman felt a little embarrassed to let Suzune do the work all the time.

So he can take care of breakfast.

Immediately called Suzune.

”No.”

Suzune’s cold voice came over, “I still have to look at the textbooks for next semester.”

“Textbooks for next semester?!”

Hachiman was stunned.

“It was in the library, so I borrowed it first,” Suzune was very angry today, “If you want... I have finished reading the English version here, and I can tutor you while I still remember it...”

”No!” Hachiman refused immediately.

Because what a joke, he doesn’t want to study.

He still remembered how pale Karuizawa looked in the previous Horikita study group.

This is a vivid example of a poor student being tortured by a good child.

And Suzune is not very good at teaching. She often says things like

“Why don’t you even know this? Have you never listened to the lectures before?” or

”I can’t understand why you make such simple mistakes, and you will fail the normal exams” or

”I should say that I can’t understand the thoughts of people who fail the exams.”

”Then I’ll go to the cafeteria by myself and bring you a portion of snail noodles when I come back,” Hachiman felt generous after being received so much pocket money.

Although she can continue to stay in the dormitory and study after the holiday, it is a very ordinary day for Suzune, but Hachiman does consider this kind of day as a vacation.

However, at this time when he could superficially improve Suzune’s favor, because Kushida-san was not there.

It was probably because summer vacation was coming and she, a very popular girl, immediately became very busy.

Or maybe, having already received Horikita Suzune’s willingness to admit defeat and knowing that Suzune is a person who keeps her promises, Kushida no longer cares whether favorability towards her is 0 or negative.

Very true.

Eh.....Hachiman didn’t feel like it was summer vacation at all.

”Hachi?”

But when he was walking towards the shopping street, he was stopped by a girl.

”Hikigaya-kun!”

It’s a group of people he knows.

And it should be said that number is quite large.

Hasebe Haruka, Yukimura Teruhiko, Miyake Akito and the slightly introverted Sakura.

”Hi, Hikigaya--” Sakura-san’s tone was somewhat excited.

Um.....Is it because he is now wearing the glasses she chose?
