COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“Ahhh.. feet are numb again.”

At Meditation, children of Hachiman’s group, such as Ishizaki, seemed very nervous.

As usual, Yukimura was tired as a dog.

Today is already the 7th day, and real assessment will be conducted tomorrow, which is assessment of the six groups of boys and girls.

The top 3 will be rewarded, but the bottom will be punished, and last one will even be expelled.

Expulsion here means that group leader....

It can be said that everyone feels uneasy because consequences of this punishment are very serious.

Anxiety is not just felt by boys, even girls too.

“I feel a little uneasy,” The person who said this was not the dangerous Karuizawa, but Ichinose Honami.

”No one in Class C showed much hostility. Maybe they felt that according to current 14+6 distribution model, even if they couldn’t get first place, they wouldn’t have to drop scores too much. So people were relaxed and didn’t target me. Ah, of course, I’m not saying that everyone in Class C is a bad person.....”

During lunch on the 7th day, Hachiman met her again, and she told him about her situation.

Ichinose lives with Sakayanagi’s group, and there are 15 first-year students.

Ichinose is the only one from her class...If any bullying happens, she will be the first to bear the brunt.

“You’re blocking my way.”

There was some noise from the people getting their meals up front, but the person causing it was very conspicuous.

He is the vice president of the student council who is surrounded by classmates, boy in power of the second year, Nagumo Miyabi.

And... Ryuen Kakeru, the tyrant of Class D in past first year.

During these days, Ryuen stayed in Hirata’s group and was ostracized by the others, but Hirata accepted him.

However, he also found that he seemed to have really given up his rule over Class D, so Ryuen looked like just an ordinary student.

But judging from his tone, he is still very crazy.

You’re blocking my way.

He said to Nagumo.

“…”

This guy is crazy.

Nagumo stared at Ryuen, at this guy who was difficult to subdue.

Because he had seen him go visit Horikita Manabu to argue during the holidays, and he thought other party was targeting senpai.

So, he also wanted to win him over.

On the one hand, he wants to disgust Sakayanagi, disrupt 1st-year exams, and make sure girl automatically gives up the election.

At the same time, Ryuen’s class evaluation score is 0.

Since it is 0 and there will be no negative points, he can do something else.

So in Nagumo’s opinion, Ryuen-chan is worth conquering.

Certainly, On the one hand, it is also to collect votes from Ryuen.

So he directly transferred 500,000 points to the other party as a gesture of goodwill.

Ryuen also received it immediately.

But after collecting the votes, he said that each vote cost 200,000 yen, and were 40 students in his class, so it would be 8 million....

What a ridiculous lion’s mouth!

When asked to return the 500,000 yen, Ryuen just refused, saying that he had spent it all!

So he’s a nasty guy.

However, Nagumo still didn’t want to give up the 40 votes, “By the way, you are the Leader of the first-year D class. You have a good eye. Do you want to participate in the competition between me and the Student council president? I can let you place an additional bet. Choose a winner between my and President Horikita’s group.”

”What’s the stakes?”

Ryuen seemed interested.

”10,000.” Nagumo opened his mo---

“Hehe....” But Ryuen smiled and then restrained himself, “I won’t bet less than 1 million. If you can’t afford it, forget it, a second year student is nothing more than that.”

’You son of’----“It seems that you are really not afraid of me. Don’t you still owe me 500,000?”

“500,000? Aren’t you the representative of 2nd grade? In the end, even a small amount like 500,000 is taken back? And now, you can’t even afford to gamble 1 million!” As he spoke, Ryuen actually walked away from this cheap bastard.

“.....” Nagumo who bites the dust.

“Who is he?” Watched Ryuen leave, but in his heart he had already ranked Ryuen 2nd on his list of people he hated.

The reason why given second is because the 1st is Hikigaya Hachiman.

3rd one is Sakayanagi.

Although girl was his rival, she was too cute of a loli and Nagumo felt that he just couldn’t rank a girl first.

Therefore, Hikigaya Hachiman, who often eats with Sakayanagi, was put first by him.

Hachiman, on the other hand, met Manabu when he was about to leave the cafeteria.

“What do you think about this exam? I heard that Nagumo took turns to raid 1st-year dormitory to play joker game. Did he do anything secretly... Never mind....” Manabu seemed to have something to say, but then he shook his head.

“It’s about your duel with Nagumo Miyabi,” Hachiman said directly, “But I’m sorry, it seems that you have already prepared for it.”

“Yes, I’m ready. My group is very strong,” Manabu believed his companions strength to rival, and be victorious, “At least for now, we won’t lose.”

’Is it.....Then can’t you just go to the exam with full confidence?’

As Tachibana said, Manabu was under a lot of pressure in this exam.

But she had already refused Hachiman’s fingers, so there was no need to help her.

xxxxxxx

On the last day before the exam, Hashimoto from same group came back with a wound on the corner of his mouth.

He seemed to go out at eight o’clock in evening and come back around 9.

Hashimoto was probably beaten up, and that too even more than once.

“Hashimoto, are you okay? Do you want to go to the infirmary?” Yukimura said after climbing onto the bed and coming down again.

His physical fitness was poor these days, but Hashimoto, a student from Class C, helped him, so he was grateful.

”It’s okay.” Hashimoto said a little roughly, and then he glanced towards Hachiman without leaving a trace, but our MC did not look at him.

Because he knew very well why Hashimoto was beaten.

But he was also surprised that Hashimoto could be so despicable.

Hikigaya-kun just remained quiet.

Because he was the one who cheated Hashimoto and made to owe him 1 million, and he also even rented the recorder’s bill he got from the school to him for 100,000.

Hashimoto didn’t consider this kind of test could also be used to collect intelligence evidence, so after the cell phones were confiscated, he lost the ability to record and the like.

And, now Hashimoto was defrauded of 1 million yen by Hachiman using the recording of him betraying Class C as a threat.

Hachiman then comforted him by saying that he was probably the only one in the school who had a recorder.

So, Hashimoto could use it to make something big and earn back his 1 million yen.

Because Hashimoto himself does not have 1 million points.

Although Ryuen owed him money, but own pockets were cleaner than his.

So he went for it.

It’s just that Hashimoto was too despicable.

He recorded the sound of a classmate farting, and deliberately said, ”XX, you farted” and used it to threaten this XX classmate.

If the other party was unwilling to pay, then he would pass the recording on and play it for the girl he liked.

If it was just an ordinary threat, it would be fine, but this kind of thing is disgusting and shameful.

It’s just that people he’s dealing with are probably those who used to be from Katsuragi’s faction, so it doesn’t matter even if the relationship gets worse.

So, after Hashimoto disgusted his classmates and got back his 1 million yen, the final exam of Forest training just went in a blip and the results came out.

Exam will conclude at 11 a.m. on the 8th day.

It lasts from 7 to 10 a.m.

The results will be announced at 11 a.m., and students will get on the bus and drive back to school at 2 p.m.

However, not everyone can finally breathe a sigh of relief and return to school, because people will be expelled.

Everyone was worried.

This time, huge amount of bonus points may lead to changes in the rankings between classes, and 3 group leaders of Last-placed group may be forced to drop out.

At the same time, number may double because of being tied to designating one student to drop out with themselves.

“First of all, I’m glad that no student is left behind,” Hoshinomiya Chie, the Homeroom teacher of Class A, stood at the podium in the gymnasium with a microphone.

Results of this exam have come out, and she is the one who will announce the results.

And because all students in the school, including girls, gathered in the gymnasium, team arrangement here was very different, as were arranged according to large groups.

“It’s really fate.....”A voice came from Hachiman’s right.

“We are standing together.”

This is voice of a hearty handsome guy.

It was blonde-haired Nagumo Miyabi, turned sideways and smiled at Hachiman.

Hachiman’s group had first-year students stand in front, so person standing was the person in charge, Ishizaki, and second was him.

But on Nagumo’s side, he was the first one to stand.

He was not head of his group, but as leader of the second grade, he was qualified to stand in the front row.

“But Hikigaya-kun, you didn’t do anything to beat me right?....” He said, with a hint of sarcasm in his tone, “I really thought you would accept the challenge.”

Accept the challenge?

”You look puzzled, don’t you?” Nagumo smiled creepily and said, “Do you remember why I called your name when I declared war on President Horikita? At that time, I was declaring war on you and asking you to take action. But right now, you haven’t done anything, Hikigaya-kun.”

“....So,” Hachiman finally responded, ”you declared war on Horikita Manabu, but you actually want to challenge me?”

“That’s what I meant, but you didn’t fight back, so you’ll just have to watch President Horikita lose from now on,” Nagumo’s eyes shifted towards the stage on Chie’s microphone near her breasts, “In one year at the latest, I’ll become Student council president, and then it’ll be time for you to leave our school.”

This was a very shameless statement, almost as if he wanted to become the Student council president and use his authority over Hachiman.

“You may not know that Power of the president is much greater than you think. I admit that I underestimated you before. You are indeed capable and have brought the class to A, but Hikigaya-kun, you will soon regret it.”

“Then, you please become the Student council president first,” Although he didn’t know where Nagumo’s hostility and anger came from, Hachiman said very politely, “I will vote for Sakayanagi.”
