COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

“It’s really inconvenient not having a cell phone,” Hachiman found an empty seat and sat down with the tray he got from queuing, feeling a little unhappy.

And, now all the people he got fortune to see were everyone whose mouths were twitching, Hachiman didn’t know any one.

Very difficult to find someone to have a meal with.

Suzune, Kushida, or Karuizawa are probably all looking for him, but it would be difficult to select one among 300 people unless he immediately does something to attract a lot of attention.

Although this kind of thing... he felt that he could do it.

But Hachiman didn’t, there was no need.

School provides a one-hour lunch, but people are asked to cook, eat breakfast and dinner in separate canteens under the pretext of letting them be independent.

This shows that lunch is an hour of information exchange time provided to students.

’So is there any information I can exchange now?’ Hachiman’s human observer ability has been raised to the max.

“Ah, Ichinose-san, it’s dangerous to be with Sakayanagi and the others. She specifically pointed you out, otherwise they wouldn’t cooperate...”

Someone started a conversation in front of Hachiman.

“It’s okay, Chihiro-chan. If you take exam seriously, it won’t turn out like that. And feeling of everyone in Class C getting along with each other is not that bad. At least there’s no smell of hostility.”

“Is that so... But doesn’t Sakayanagi treat people as pets? If they bullied Ichinose-san, and didn’t say anything to avoid worrying us—”

“That’s not the case. I’ve become friends with Kamuro-san, and we have a pretty good relationship as well.”

“…”

Um.... friends with Kamuro-san?

“???” Hachiman couldn’t believe it.

’.....I just said that it was difficult to meet acquaintances or find the right people in a place with more than 300, but you became friends with... Kamuro-san.’

Hachiman looked over and saw Ichinose with her upper body lazily lying on the table.

It seemed that because of this, she noticed him sitting a little further away.

She has a great figure, and lying down like this makes her breasts very visible.

And it’s quite cute.

This is another side of Ichinose.

“Ah...Hikigaya-kun──Ahh──” Perhaps realizing her own impoliteness, Ichinose sat up suddenly.

She seems to be a very innocent person.

“You guys were having a lively conversation just now, ” Hachiman tried to bring the topic back to a less awkward state, “But I just heard your conversation. Are the girls in Class C also divided into 14+6 people?”

”So boys are the same?” Ichinose took advantage of Hachiman to lure for an exchange information, “It seems C class wants to suppress everyone’s scores and consolidate their position....”

Although it was strange they suddenly broke through and became Class A, Ichinose and her class wanted to keep this position.

Class A is 1371 points

Sakayanagi’s class scored 1108 points, which seems to be a gap of more than 200.

But Ichinose felt that if she didn’t work hard, she might be kicked out in an instant like Hikigaya-kun.

Then class morale will also suffer some damage.

“I’m actually quite conflicted,” Ichinose is trying her best now, “If everyone plays it safe and scores don’t differ too much, then our class can be firmly be A. But it just feels like this might be a lost opportunity.”

“you are left hopeless?”

“....yeah, because there’s no way to be sure if there will be an opportunity to improve score so much in the next exam.” Ichinose felt like she was being too lazy, and wants to do some work now.

However, she seemed to find this topic a bit depressing, and changed her subject.

“But speaking of this exam, Hikigaya-kun, you guys made the decision very quickly. I just met Kanzaki-kun, and he said that everything was arranged in half an hour.”

“Is the girl’s side very troublesome? Our side is completely taken care of by Class D.”

“....Do you mean a person from Class D whom Sakayanagi-san kept glaring and said very rude things regarding her hair?” But her cute little face quickly became complicated.

“I’m in Group 19, which is of 6 girls from Class C, where Sakayanagi-san is being very overwhelming,” Ichinose answered like she was being very helpful, “How should I put it? It was hard before we formed our current group. Should I say that girls have clear likes and dislikes? There are also many who say they hate a girl right in front of her....even Sakayanagi-san who just kept frowning...her best friend Kamuro-san almost punched me earlier but we made up.”

Well, that’s really scary.

It’s just that although Kushida-chan that Hachiman knows is very straightforward and often kicks railings and swears at people, she never shows it on her face and instead pretends to be friendly.

From this perspective, Kushida-chan is actually quite good.

Because many people cannot be consistent in what they say and do.

“In any case, don’t be too stubborn,” he said, and prepared to get up.

”It’s okay, it’s okay. My only advantage is my energy. See you later, Hikigaya-kun!” Ichinose then waved gently and watched him go.

He felt Ichinose’s kindness.

Even though it was such a crowded cafeteria, made people feel instantly rejuvenated.

’Archangel Ichinose is really amazing. I felt like I was buffed....’ Hikigaya-kun thought to himself.

There were some things he didn’t tell Ichinose.

That is, Sakayanagi also follows 14+6 personnel allocation plan and it is not for the sake of stability.

This is probably to..motivate the girls in Class C.

Because only by gathering together can one better inform and command her subordinates.

Just now, although Hachiman found that he was being stared at by the senior boys, he also noticed that girls in Class C were looking at him.

Probably, as long as Sakayanagi needs him, she will find him immediately.

This requires manpower.

Back to the test question.

The one-hour lunch time every day in exam rules is undoubtedly for students to share information, and the purpose give instructions here, and then fight on.

Society, contact.

’Totally not suitable for me.’ Hachiman just knew this is really different, and out of his dimension.

During lunch time every day, boys and girls can interact with each other.

In fact, what is more important is to exchange information.

It is too difficult to eat while looking for the right exchange partner among more than 400 people.

Of course, you can also learn from Nagumo and send someone to the second floor to give up eating and look for the right person, but that is definitely not good for your health.

Hachiman didn’t have any little dog to help.

Certainly, he also has Karuizawa, but he can’t ask her to sacrifice meal time to help.

So even when he was reading the explanatory manual distributed by Chabashira-Sensei, he found out that one-hour lunch break was the time for exchanging information, but he still chose to give up.

Because there is no need.

xxxxx

It was 8’o clock in the evening.

When other boys went to the big bathhouse to take a shower, Hachiman left the dormitory.

The boys’ and girls’ dormitories at Forest School are completely separate, and classes are probably also arranged in different places.

At the same time, mobile phones are confiscated.

On the bus, Hachiman finished reading the guidebook.

Although boys and girls had to be separated, there was no clause stating that boys and girls could not meet privately.

Meet in private.

If you have something to talk about, don’t have to use your mobile phone to contact each other.

But as long as you agree on a time.

So when he was on the bus, he sent messages to the people he needed to contact, asking them to wait for him at their point.

It is now 8 o’clock, the agreed time.

When Hachiman trotted over, he saw a girl sitting next to the fountain.

This is a girl who gets a lot of attention because she is very cute.

”Have you been waiting for a long time?”

“I just arrived too,” Karuizawa said, and handed a piece of paper. This is the information obtained with help.

She will definitely join a small group and then a larger, so just needs to get a list of people in her group.

However, considering that she might not know some senior students, or some even in her grade, Hachiman only asked her to write about the people she knew, and for those she didn’t know, she could just write numbers.

The members of Karuizawa’s group are as follows.

First-year class A: Chihiro Shiranami and 6 others

Class 1-B: Wang Meiyu, Karuizawa Kei, Sato Maya, Sakura Airi, Onodera, a total of 5 people

Grade 1, Class C 0

First grade class D: Cold Hiyori, Pervert Ibuki Mio, Rude Manabe Shiho and Weak Rika.

???

“• •” Hachiman.

“What? Just keep looking...”

He did.

The first-year student in charge here is Shiho Manabe from Class D.

It has to be said that Karuizawa has an inexplicable connection with these hot girls in Class D.

When he first met Karuizawa, she was almost besieged by Manabe Shiho and the others.

It was also at that time that Hachiman discovered that Karuizawa’s strong side was a disguise.

In the previous preferential exam, she and these hot girls were in rabbit group, and now met again.

The person in charge of 2nd grade is student of Class 2-A, and of 3rd grade is of Class 3-B.

”Well, the data looks good.” Hachiman said after checking.

In fact, from this grouping, it can be found that girls in the first-year Class C are also following Katsuragi’s plan, 20 people are divided into 14+6.

However, it is important to note that Airi Sakura and Karuizawa are in the same group.

”Why did you put Sakura-san in my group?” Karuizawa felt very strange, “She was very afraid of me when we were studying together. Although our relationship has eased later, when we were dividing the groups today, I firmly nominated her to join my group. It made her cry once.”

’This is really pitiful. But you have to hold on, Sakura-san!’ Hachiman was trying his best to cheer for her.

’Because she has to live for a week with girls she doesn’t know and won’t protect her, Sakura will definitely be bullied. But, Karuizawa looks cursed...so...In short, this arrangement is because Karuizawa looks not so easy to handle like Vi from Arcane, and could break your nuts using her venom, so other people won’t offend her, this is a disguised way of protecting Sakura. But I can’t say this to Karuizawa in person even if my mouth breaks.’

”So are there any problems with Manabe and Rika?” Hachiman continued to ask as if showing his worry.

“No, in VIP exam, they didn’t dare to mess with me. Besides even seem to be quite poor and have low self-esteem!” Karuizawa rubbed her nose a bit, as if quite happy with the outcome.

Class D is so pitiful.

After entering school, apart from the 1st month and last VIP exam, students in Class D have indeed been living pitiful life with living expenses ranging from 0 to tens of thousands.

Even if wanted to be strong, but couldn’t since don’t even have yen to buy favourite milk tea.

What’s more, Karuizawa is also a member of the Student Council who is also a member of the Discipline Committee.

Although she is a small fry, she is the only first-year student who has joined.

In front of ordinary students, value is still very high.

“If you have any questions, come find me at this time. I’ll be here to provide help,” Hachiman gave a false warm signal of reassurance.

Because Karuizawa was only asked to collect information, Hachiman did not make things difficult for her.

The course would officially start tomorrow and she would need to get up early, so Hachiman let her go back and rest first.
