COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Hachiman just glanced at the message of 10,000 yen arriving in his account and then ignored it.

The 10,000 points were either because the other person, even if he was Ayanokouji’s father, was not doing well in this school, or it was just a deposit.

First try to contact him in this way, then transfer a large sum of money when necessary, and then ask him to cooperate in expelling Kiyotaka Ayanokoji from school.

But it’s a pity, Hachiman did not accept this commission.

However, if Ayanokoji was really threatened with expulsion, he probably wouldn’t try his best to help.

Since class has been successfully promoted, his mission has been completed.

Then Ayanokoji has become unimportant.

Although he may be suspected of being a pushover, Hachiman is not.

If Ayanokoji is really in danger of being expelled from school, he can only play a supporting role at best, and the real effort will have to be done by Ayanokoji himself.

At about 9 o’clock in evening, Hachiman discovered that Hirata’s mother had sent a list in class group.

This is a study group organized according to everyone’s academic.

There are about 6 people in a group.

Hachiman found himself assigned to group no 7.

The members are academic master Yukimura, Miyake Akito, Hasebe Haruka, Sato Maya, and Ike Kanji.

Hachiman also noticed that Karuizawa, Matsushita Chiaki, Sakura and Kushida’s best friend Wang Meiyu were in the same group.

The groups formed here refer to that study together during this month.

They are not limited to school and can be held in various places such as cafes or libraries after discussions based on the students’ own preferences.

In short, companions who are to study together are listed separately to supervise and help each other.

It seems that he had overthought it before.

The study session did not only require the 2 partners to study together, but also included other people.

Um....It is normal to think this way, because although people are in Class A now, everyone’s academic has not improved, so there are many poor students.

If there is no top student to lead, it is almost impossible to improve grades.

[. ]

After the groups were formed, Hachiman discovered that Sakura Airi had sent a blank call.

This was basically a wrong one.

’Was it because she didn’t want to be in the current group? Indeed, Everyone in Sakura’s group was a stranger to her.’

Sakura is rather shy, and it’s very stressful for her to study with these unfamiliar students.

“If you feel it’s too much, you can apply to Hirata individually,” Hachiman still tried his best to give comfort on phone, “As for whether the order is changed or not, I don’t think Wang Meiyu will care. And if she’s unhappy, then I can order Kushida to lecture her!”

’Is that so?!’ Sakura nodded quickly.

And even though Sakura is more introverted, she can still communicate normally with others just through phone calls or messages.

For example, contact Hirata-kun.

[No way.]

However, just 30 seconds later, Sakura immediately called Hachiman for help.

The reason was that Hirata rejected her and hoped that she could understand everyone.

Because the current grouping has been decided by most students, it would be troublesome if disrupt it and start over.

Also, this time it is rare that no one has too many objections, so if an individual exception occurs, the calm atmosphere will be turned into a quarrel again.

Hirata-kun tried to persuade her earnestly, but Sakura still felt conflicted.

”Who in the group don’t you want to be with?” Hachiman felt that Sakura’s reaction was a little too sensitive.

“It’s Karuizawa.” Sakura said honestly, didn’t even use honorifics, very bad of her.

’For real?’ Hachiman was stunned, ’Is

it because Karuizawa is the kind of person who is difficult to get along with?’

He didn’t feel anything at all, and sometimes even thought other person was very considerate.

She even gave him a pair of glasses.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Hachiman suddenly remembered that before Karuizawa became the student council’s disciplinarian, she had a bad reputation.

In order to create her hot girl image, she appeared to be overbearing and unreasonable, and her relationship with the boys was also very bad.

So it was this rather strong state that frightened Sakura.

From this point of view, Hachiman thinks Karuizawa’s acting is really good.

In fact, even Kushida didn’t realize that Karuizawa’s strength was just an act.

The reason was that while listening to Kushida kicking the railings or wooden stakes to vent her anger, she only criticized Karuizawa for being domineering and sometimes not giving her face.

So, to some extent, Hachiman actually learned the secrets of some people in class through Kushida.

While thinking about all this, Hachiman had already finished his shower and was lying in bed.

But when picked up his phone to set the alarm, saw a message.

[Sato Maya wants to add you as a friend, do you agree?]

’What a coincidence.....I thought it would be awkward to be paired with Sato, but now we are not in the same group of exam, and then we were assigned to the same study group. This is very unexpected.’

A little consideration needs to be given, Hachiman clicked permission to add a friend.

Yukimura then pulled all six members into a newly formed small group, because some things didn’t necessarily need to be said in class and could be notified in the group.

After Yukimura formed the group, his first words were, ”What subjects are you not good at? Prepare. We will have a study session tomorrow, and I can tutor you in your weak areas.”

’I can only say that the top students are meticulous. Finally, Yukimura seems to be full of energy when he finally gets to the place where he excels.’

The next day, class meeting.

Hirata announced the grouping again.

Students in class were divided into 7 groups.

Basically no one objects, but there are exceptions.

“Kōenji, what do you mean?!” Among them, a brute was surrounded by Hirata and Sudo.

Koenji, Yamauchi, Sudo, and Onodera are members of the same group.

Sudo is partnered with Onodera.

Generally speaking, considering that the final test results are determined by each other’s partners, the regular preparation study groups are basically partners working together.

However, also have to consider the actual situation, that is, not so many top students in Class A.

Unequal distribution of academic ability.

So, there will be some situations where partners are separated.

But Hirata also wanted to win over as many top students as possible.

For example, Koenji.

And considering that he usually keeps to himself, their group consists of only four people.

But it was these four people who had problems.

Koenji refused to become a group leader to assist other students in their studies, and he also refused to attend boring sessions.

“Oh no, I have more important things to do—”

”What is more important than exam?” Sudo said angrily. ”In the last sports meet, you were so strong, but you didn’t get a single point!”

Koenji is a loner, but he has a very high academic ability and ranks among the top on the score sheet posted for entrance examination.

This time, he also ranked first in the quiz given to them by Chabashira-sensei, and then partnered with Yamauchi, who ranked last.

However, last time the sports festival was held, bottom 10 students had to lose 10 points in each subject, and Koenji gave up in the sports festival, so he was one of the bottom 10 students, which meant that he had to lose points.

So even though he thought Koenji was a top student, Yamauchi still felt unsafe.

”It’s just that class finally won first place, right?” Koenji said while combing his hair in the mirror, ”So the result is good.”

“You don’t take the class seriously at all!” Sudo was just barking non-stop.

“Hehe - no, I really love this class!” After saying this, Koenji was about to leave.

”Kōenji, I’ve tolerated you for so long!” Sudo couldn’t stand it anymore.

“Want to talk with your fists?” But Koenji looked at him and said, ”I don’t mind, but you’ll be the one who gets hurt in the end.”

Those were really arrogant words, but he said them in a calm tone, which showed he was confident that he could defeat Sudo.

”Alright, alright.” The good-natured Hirata hurried over to mediate the dispute, “Anyway, Koenji-kun, are you really not going to join the study group?”

”I will make sure you pass.” Koenji waved his palm at the mortals,“So, Yamauchi, you don’t have to worry, you just need to get 10 points in each subject.”

“Oh, oh. Is it okay?” Yamauchi was surprised.

Because if he takes the exam seriously, can still get around 20, and 10 points, isn’t that something can be achieved easily?

But Koenji smiled at him.

This is really outrageous.

But he is a super academic master.

Koenji can get 98 on every test paper or even 100 points if he is in a good mood.

”Okay.” Hirata finally chose to pursue peace and asked Koenji not to join the study group, but now only Onodera, Yamauchi and Sudo had to be rearranged.

“Yukimura-kun, can your team add more people?”

”I’m sorry, I got a headache after looking at the exercises our group did,” Yukimura already had enough to swallow down his throat, “I won’t be able to teach if you add more people!”

”You said it so harshly, as if we were all poor students!” And the member sitting in front, Hasebe Haruka yelled at the team leader Yukimura very loudly.

Hasebe Haruka, both the first and last name are very nice.
