COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Office of the Chairman.

After returning from the shopping district, Hachiman took flowers to chairman’s office because the distance between two points was shorter.

Chairman’s office is in Special building.

And his purpose is also very direct and crude.

Exchange your points for cash.

When he entered school, Chabashira bought him the right to redeem points in advance, and base was 1 million, which he had already completed.

And what he wanted to exchange today was not just 1, but 10 million!

As for the 10 million points card given by Chabashira, he didn’t have to worry about it as it was placed in the dormitory, because he had more than enough points in his student account.

Hachiman said that he sometimes met Chairman in the cafeteria on the third floor.

’And now is the first time I meet Chairman Sakayanagi face to face.’

The other person has short silver hair and wears black-framed glasses.

He must have looked very handsome when he was young, but now he looks a little haggard.

Hachiman had some idea as to why he looked so haggard.

It’s probably because the issues with Ayanokoji are simply impossible to handle, and his father’s position and power should exceed the scope of Chairman Sakayanagi, so he has been under pressure.

And judging from the other party’s haggard appearance, he himself might be in danger.

It seems adult world is even dirtier than he thought.

“I’ll take your 10 million points and exchange them for 8 million in cash. Is it going to be stored in your account, or will it be directly settled into cash?”

Because it was a large amount of money, Chairman handled it himself.

This style is very similar to Manabu.

“Just give me the cash,” Hachiman was very serious looking.

“• •” Chairman Sakayanagi just stared.

“My homeroom teacher is leaving school today. She seems to be heading to Chiba. It’s just right for me to take it home.....” Hachiman felt like something was very incorrect about this person’s gaze.

”I see.” Chairman Sakayanagi nodded, and handed over the suitcase filled with money from the staff.

He pushed his glasses up gently, then his eyes fell on the two bouquets of flowers that Hachiman brought.

“Hikigaya-kun, right?” Chairman noticed, ”Your class is the only one in history of this school which has climbed up from Class D.”

“Although you have now fallen to Class B. But, I personally think highly of you,” Sakayanagi’s father was really impressed with this child, ”As a reward, I can personally answer two of your questions.”

So that’s it.

Is there such a good thing?

Hachiman did have one more question he wanted an answer to.

So he put his left hand in his pocket.

”Well, I want to ask you two real questions. First, what Sakayana---”

“Oh, you mean her. She is my daughter, and there is nothing wrong with that. But don’t worry, I didn’t put her in Class A out of favoritism. She has this value in herself.”

”Then the second point.” Hachiman seemed to have no interest in Sakayanagi and continued, ”The nature of this school, is so-called social enrollment just a cover, just to form and train a group of people, so the excellent people, rubbish and drag are all pre-selected. And then... just training students in Class A and B...Class C and Class D are both outcasts. This class ranking system is a scam!”

Fuck fuck fuc----

Hachiman continued to ask, which made Narumori Sakayanagi remain silent.

After a while, he said, ”It seems you have already discovered it. I admit it. The students of this school are indeed selected internally. It is impossible to force people in even if you want to. The essence of our school is to provide talents to human society.”

What do you mean by Human Society? Is there something el----

“As you know, the economy is in recession right now and are facing various problems that most are unable to solve, so we can only place our hopes on the next generation. If we continue to supply society with excellent talent, then one day there will be individuals that can shoulder burden of these problems. Advanced Nurturing High School has received support from junior high schools across the country. Our students are also selected from across the country and require recommendations from the principals of junior high schools. Even if you fail the written test or interview, it’s no problem, you can still enter.....”

At the same time, Chairman Sakayanagi did not deny it at all, ”You are right. Only Class A and B are the real targets of training. According to class ranking system, neither Class C nor D are qualified to climb up.”

”All exams are arranged by us, as are the class evaluation score rewards. When a class that does not meet the regulations climbs up, it will be like the final exam you just took. The class evaluation scores fluctuate greatly, so much so that the upper-ranking class can pull you down with just one or two wins.”

”The school is indeed biased towards Class A and B. Because only those students are training targets, while Class C and D are sacrifices. So, they are indeed not allowed to climb up.”

Chairman Sakayanagi continued to explain, but he seemed to think that what he said was too desperate, so he added, ”But it doesn’t mean that students in Class C and D can’t make a difference. Truly outstanding people can still make a difference. For someone like you, as long as you accumulate 20 million points, then whether you jump to Class A or B, you can continue to climb up and graduate with excellence.”

Is that so.

Then it was just as he had expected.

”Is there anything else you want to ask?” Chairman asked as if he was doing psychological counseling.

Hachiman shook his head, “But I hope you can also be careful,” he reminded him vaguely.

”Um?”

“Because you are a relatively upright person,” Hachiman didn’t want to be just given, ”So I hope you can make some preparations as soon as possible.”

”What does this mean?” Chairman simply frowned, he felt that matter was not simple.

”I relied on Ayanokoji’s strength in the last exam, and was able to get points in the sports festival. But, Ayanokoji has always maintained a low presence. And now he finally took the initiative to attack. There could only be one reason,” Hachiman paused which created a terrible atmosphere in the room, and said, “That means you alone can’t protect him. So, you might be in trouble.”

”.....Haha.” But Chairman just smiled and said, ”It seems that you know a lot. However, thank you for your concern, but I believe that Mr. Ayanokoji will not do that. And my foundation is very clean.”

’But this means that you have actually thought about possibility that you might be replaced....’ Hachiman’s camera was perfectly working.

That’s why emphasize a clean foundation. Hachiman once again experienced how dark the adult world was.

”Come to think of it.” When Hachiman was about to leave, Director Sakayanagi said again. ”Your flow---”

”They are for Chabashira-sensei and the teacher who brought me from Chiba to your school,” Hachiman told his own real truth, “I can’t leave, and asking Chabashira-sensei to buy flowers outside would seem insincere.”

”I see.” Chairman Sakayanagi nodded just like a good father he was, “Arisu’s health is very poor. I have banned all physical activities from her.”

“…” Hachiman finally understood.

’I understood why the chairman looked at the flowers I brought five or six times in 10 minutes of talking to me....Probably because he thought I would give it to Sakayanagi.’

”I need to clarify something My life goal is to be a househusband. But Sakayanagi....I’m sure you won’t allow her to keep a useless husband.....”

“haha....That’s true.” Chairman Sakayanagi laughed at this time. ”If it was her, she would definitely let you go out to work. Arisu is my only daughter, so she should inherit my position as chairman in the future. Of course, if you really marry her, considering her health, the man will inherit.”

’How terrible.Marrying Sakayanagi not only means being arranged to work part-time, but also being made the chairman!’

Chairman Sakayanagi is currently on vacation and is still working.

So, Hachiman’s resistance to Arisu increases by +1 again.

In this way, Hachiman nodded to chairman and walked out of the room.

Because he had a lot of things to carry, he had to put down the briefcase containing the cash before he could reach into his trouser pockets.

Certainly.

This is not for adjusting trajectory.

Instead, phone was placed inside and was on a call.
