COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”Our class can also give you a test paper that will make you suffer!”

”So what exactly is Hikigaya Hachiman here for?” Yahiko was extremely confused.

”You want to declare war on us?”

“It shouldn’t be that simple.”

”It’s just this paper looks quite difficult. I can’t believe there are also students who are good at studying in their class....”

People were talking about it.

”Sakayanagi, what do you think is going on?” The classmates began to speculate, and Katsuragi turned to his deskmate.

”How should I know?” She pressed her elbow against the table, ”But I don’t think it’s a declaration of war.”

She picked up thermos on corner of the table, but there was no water in it.

“This is for you....” Kamuro-san quickly handed her the bottle of Vitasoy from behind.

”Do you want me to try the poison?” Sakayanagi blinked a couple of times as if can’t understand.

“I have absolutely no idea why it was given to me.” Kamuro-san declined.

”Is it possible that he thinks you’re pretty?” Sakayanagi asked her with a cold expression, “Hikigaya-kun even wants to celebrate your birthday.”

”...” Kamuro-san. ”He remembered it wrong. If he really cared, he wouldn’t have made a mistake.”

”Really?” Sakayanagi now seemed to be uninterested, then stopped talking about what had just happened.

But Katsuragi himself didn’t know what Hachiman was here for.

It’s totally baffling.

Then same question appeared to Kushida.

Now, Inside her room.

She was confined because she had a cold, and this was not acting.

”So, you’ve got test paper for Class C?” Kushida learned from Hikigaya-kun that Sakayanagi might have tricked her.

It might even be possible that she won’t be given the real A-class test paper.

Hikigaya-kun will be responsible for helping to get the real A-class test paper and then win the bet against Horikita Suzune.

Otherwise she would be expelled from school!

She doesn’t want to be expelled from school for nothing.

“It’s still in the planning stage, Kushida-san....”

”But how can we do it? The Sakayanagi class has done a good job of keeping the papers confidential.” Kushida-chan was a little flustered when boss said she got deceived, “And is your operation really OK?”

Then she made a request, hoping that other party would keep her.

She is willing to pay the corresponding price.

Hikigaya-kun agreed on the spot, but in practice, he just went to find Ichinose from Class B, and then asked her and Horikita Suzune to work together to make a difficult test paper with 50 multiple-choice questions.

Today, other party just went to Sakayanagi’s class to distribute the important test paper that Horikita and Ichinose had written.

”I’m already working on it. I went to hand out the papers and said they were made by our class, but if someone is really concerned about this kind of exam, she would be worried about whether test paper you made would be difficult...”

”Are there people in Class C who are not good at studying?” Kushida finally reacted.

Hachiman brought the difficult problem with him to make a feint to the east and attack in the west.

Deliberately give difficult questions and then scare poor students.

”There should be some bots,” Hachiman knows how world really works, “Because they are poor students, will consider a lot. Moreover, Class C will just let teacher arrange pairing test, instead of being able to team up with top students, so bots probably feel very dangerous. They may think that if test paper for my class with such poor academic ability is of this difficulty, then how about the real one in comparison will be?”

”Will it be so smooth?” Kushida-chan still felt unsure.

As she was speaking, Hachiman’s cell phone vibrated.

”Oh, look, the poor student contacted me.” Hachiman felt giddy inside, ”The A-class test paper must have been obtained. Kushida, you should know there are weirdos in every class.”

”...” Kushida-chan was speechless.

“But in fact, even if you don’t get the math test paper from Class A, you can still beat Horikita,” Hachiman didn’t really want to blow up her confidence, “For example, you are honest with Horikita Suzune and let her deliberately get a low score, such as 50 points, and you can beat her as long as you get more than 50. Then bet will be complete.”

”I don’t want it!” But Kushida-chan immediately refused. She said firmly, ”I hate her, and I will never bow down to her!”

But don’t you hate him?

So why bow to him?

Hachiman found that although he had come into contact with many girls, still did not understand.

But he was still very happy that he got a possible long-term meal ticket.

September 24th.

All students started a one-and-a-half-day exam after the morning physical education.

There are eight subjects in total, each with 50 multiple-choice questions.

The exam lasts for 2 days, with 4 subjects per day, 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.

Because time for an important exam, all the students who had taken leave have come to school today.

The students in class were a little restless.

After all, they had been studying hard for nearly a month.

But people are still little scared.

Conflicted mood.

The only regret is that Kikyo Kushida took a day and a half off on the 21st because she stayed up late to study.

This made some classmates worry about her health.

But today she came back healthy, which made many people feel relieved.

Kushida Kikyo is still very popular.

Ringing of the bell indicates that the exam has officially begun.

The first subject is English.

2nd is Mathematics.

Test papers were being passed down from the first table to the back.

It was made by Class C, which was originally Class A.

The other party must be a top student who made the test paper, so difficulty may be quite high.

Excellent people like Yukimura or Horikita Suzune keep a blank expression on their faces.

Although looks more like they are confident.

For them, as long as they grasp the outline, can easily answer any weird test paper the other party gives them.

But there are a lot of nervous people.

Even though took Buddhism temporarily, reviewed all the knowledge points, and even stayed up until 1 a.m. to focus on the key points, and did a lot of preparation, Bastards like Yamauchi still couldn’t help getting nervous when the exam actually came.

Because this is an experiment that could affect whether or not your paired companion will be expelled from school if you fail.

However, there were a few people who were more nervous.

Those were four students who ranked in bottom ten and had 10 points deducted from their grades in every subject.

Oh no, these four nervous people did not include Koenji Rokusuke.

He is still too proud, didn’t see him panicking at all.

His partner, Yamauchi, kept asking, ”Koenji, you said I only need to get 10 points, right?”

Hachiman got the test paper, and he had to admit that even though syllabus was set, the questions from Sakayanagi’s class were indeed tricky.

If one doesn’t work hard, someone of Sudo’s level would probably only be able to get 10-20 points.

After hard work, it is hovering between 30-35.

So their partnership must have been very difficult.

How pitiful.

There was no exchange of seats during the exam, so Hachiman could still see expression of his deskmate Horikita Suzune.

She didn’t frown, and her face was expressionless.

She always has a stern face when she is studying, taking exams, or doing homework.

It’s not that she is bitter about the topic, but will be like this when she is confident.

’Maybe I should remind her to pay attention to her usual facial expressions.....’

Hachiman was thinking about all sorts of things in his mind, but he was now paired with Ayanokoji, and pairing with him was mainly to avoid the embarrassment of being paired with Sato.

But it would be too much to do nothing.

Although Hachiman thinks that hidden boss Ayanokoji will definitely get 88 points in all subjects.

While thinking about this, Hikigaya picked up a pen and wrote down the answers while checking the questions.

Kushida, who was sitting in the front, next to the podium, was doing the questions smoothly, with no sign of frowning on her face at all.

The second exam started immediately ten minutes after students went to toilet.

Hachiman noticed that Suzune beside him took a deep breath and calmed down.

Although she was confident, the next subject required her to pay full attention.

Because subject of the exam is mathematics.

It was math of the bet between her and Kushida.

Kushida is crazy and wants to challenge her, and if Suzune wins, she will drop out of school, and if she loses, she will protect Kushida.

This is a troublesome bet.

However, since her brother, who is Student council president, has accepted the application, Suzune has no choice but to accept it.

’So although it’s a pity, but Kushida-san will have to go home....’ Suzune thought very darkly.

In other words, chose to have Kushida drop out of school.
