Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1073 - 587: Attack of the Prehistoric Behemoths (Part 3)

Letting the Tyrannosaurus saunter over like this is probably also due to the instructions from the controller behind them.

This group of Tyrannosaurus might possess explosive speed for rapid movement, but they can’t sustain it for long; even the blood-striped Tyrannosaurus likely can’t avoid this issue.

It’s somewhat similar to Mimi.

So, at this moment, they are obviously conserving energy.

However, by letting Xu Xin and the others see the tracks of the Tyrannosaurus so clearly, they are actually providing them with preparation time, exposing the arrogance of this controller.

Clearly, the other side looks down on this side.

The other side probably thinks that even if they give them time to prepare, they would be helpless, and it’s better to let the dinosaurs conserve energy and exert force only when they reach Crystal City to ensure success.

It can only be said...

Their approach is indeed very reasonable.

The only way to deal with the group of Tyrannosaurus is to go all out with an all-encompassing attack.

To launch all manner of weapons and take the hit.

There’s no other way; they are currently the defenders, while the enemy attacks where they must defend, naturally placing them at a disadvantage.

They can only harden up and brace for impact!

But before that...

”First deal with the underground creatures, they’re coming!” Xu Xin could already hear the rustling sound from the ravine.

Evidently, the creatures below were about to dig out!

Indeed, everything was as they expected.

On the wall of the ravine, a sudden ”crack” was heard as a sharp claw extended out.

This claw seemed confused as to why there was no soil or rock ahead, scratching the air twice.

Then, like a sharp claw from Wolverine, it plunged directly into the rock below, as if encountering tofu, easily piercing through.

With a forceful pull from the claw, a large hole was instantly gouged out from the wall of dirt.

Numerous clods dropped into the ravine.

And a head emerged from within.

”Huh?” Xu Xin’s eyes widened immediately, ”It’s actually...”

Then, he slowly squinted, ”Yeah, thinking about digging holes, it should indeed be them.”

This head, he couldn’t be more familiar with it.

Isn’t this a pangolin’s head!

The top was still covered in blood stripes!

This was probably the pangolin group he had seen underground before!

The pangolin consort and those two little pangolins were forced out by the pangolin group, and he took them from there!

Afterwards, the tunnel connecting to the pangolin habitat disappeared, and he never encountered other pangolins again.

But unexpectedly, this group of pangolins actually participated in this plan!

Fortunately, the giant beast pangolin didn’t come.

However, even if it did, it would be affected by Crystal City and become one of them.

Wait a minute...

This group of pangolins should have some giant beast bloodline, right? They are much larger than normal pangolins!

Now, they had dug their way out of the ravine...

Sure enough, Xu Xin noticed that the blood stripes on the emerging pangolins suddenly dimmed, and the pangolins seemed to be in shock.

They stood frozen for over ten seconds.

”This truly is... effortlessly gained for us!”

Probably the other side never anticipated that they would emerge from underground.

Through practical testing, they learned that giant beast bloodlines would not be affected by Crystal City underground with a five-meter-thick soil layer, so they had this pangolin group with the giant beast bloodline carry out an underground sneaking mission.

But what they didn’t realize was that the explorers sensed their underground mission and used the simplest method, digging a circle of ravines around the World Tree!

Now it seemed this simple method was actually the most effective.

It directly exposed the pangolin group to the influence of Crystal City!

Around them, the heavy crossbows on the World Tree targeting the lower area were ready.

”Do not attack!” Xu Xin immediately reminded everyone in the group.

”Wait a minute!” At the same time, Ji Chaoyang also spoke up in the group.

It seems he noticed it too.

Wang Lei: ”A lot has already come out, right? If we don’t act, they will... ah, one just fell off!”

A pangolin emerged from its own dug-out hole, couldn’t grip properly, and with a sharp cry, rolled down into the ravine.

The scene was briefly comical.

Ji Chaoyang: ”All these pangolins have giant beast bloodline. Do not act, observe and wait!”

Xu Xin continued, ”They might very well become our allies!”
