Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1064 - 584: The Siege Battle Begins, Crimson Tide! (Part 2)

Xu Xin pointed to the Crystal House beside him: ”The Crystal House is indestructible, you can hide in there.”

Everyone nodded very seriously.

”Got it, Brother Xin!”

”Understood, I’ll tell the others!”

Xu Xin nodded, turned around, and walked back.

The defense line for this group of survivors is to use treehouse crossbows to cover the beast horde with firepower.

Enough to scatter the beast horde.

As for after the exploding crossbow bolts are used up, their own combat power is not strong, there’s no need to take risks.

Behind him, discussions from the survivors could be heard.

”The Crystal House is actually indestructible!”

”Yeah, I heard that even the big shots’ purple-grade steel weapons got dulled, and didn’t damage the Crystal House one bit.”

”So strong?! Then we can make the Crystal House a fortress...”

”Can’t do that, the treehouse heavy crossbows need to be installed on treehouses.”

”True, well, it would be great if there were weapons that could be placed in the Crystal House.”

”There definitely will be, it’s just that this siege came too quickly, the big shots didn’t have time to make them yet.”

”Makes sense, haha, I feel like the exploration leaders really can do anything!”

”Anyway, we just need to complete our own tasks, listen to Brother Xin, and don’t leave the treehouse.”

”I’m not afraid, my combat power is very strong, I want to protect the World Tree along with the big shots!”

”Haha, I’ve also killed a few mutant creatures, even if the crossbow bolts run out, I think I’m still a strong force!”

”Isn’t it said that Crystal City can make mutant creatures submit? The city shouldn’t be too dangerous, right?”

...

Back under his own treehouse, Xu Xin was about to return when Lou Fei’Er poked her head out from her treehouse: ”Xu Xin, come have breakfast!”

Xu Xin was pulled into the treehouse, Zeng Tao and Jin Yue were there too.

”Where’s Shi Wanyun?”

Not seeing Shi Wanyun, Xu Xin asked.

”She went back to sleep in her own treehouse last night.” Lou Fei’Er served breakfast on the table, ”Said her treehouse has a random enhancement, so it’s better to sleep in her own treehouse, she just teleported back.”

Well, that’s fine.

Indeed.

Last time, Shi Wanyun told her that her treehouse’s decoration level had reached 500 points, meaning she could also get a random enhancement while choosing a historical enhancement.

Sleeping in her own treehouse is indeed most beneficial.

However, going there is easy, but coming back isn’t just a matter of teleportation.

Xu Xin doesn’t have a teleportation device here; she needs to teleport from her side’s Transmission Array to the edge’s Transmission Array in Crystal City, then walk back.

A bit troublesome.

Looks like, when Wenxi returns, he needs to create a few more coordinates.

For now, let’s leave it at that; after all, the materials for coordinates are quite extensive.

”Can she make it back in time?” Zeng Tao asked with a full mouth, somewhat unclearly.

While eating breakfast, Xu Xin sent a call request to Shi Wanyun.

It was immediately connected over there, and before Xu Xin could speak, she explained: ”Already inside Crystal City, I’ll be there soon.”

A map appeared in Xu Xin’s mind; indeed, a green dot was moving toward Xu Xin from a few hundred meters away from the Transmission Array, likely Shi Wanyun.

”Got it.”

He hung up, finishing breakfast.

”It’s already seven o’clock.” Lou Fei’Er checked the time, ”In an hour... the enemy will attack.”

”Hmm.” Xu Xin stood up, picking up Keke who was gnawing an apple, ”I’m heading back first, you guys should return to your treehouses and stay on standby.”

Returning to his treehouse, Xu Xin raised his watch and found he was added to a group.

It’s a group named [Crystal City Survivors].

There are 248 people in the group, it seems all the survivors in Crystal City have been added.

This kind of thing is usually done by Ji Chaoyang.

Ji Chaoyang posted some precautions in the group, roughly similar to what Xu Xin had just said.

Qi Xuefei: ”Everyone should have received two pills, these pills are newly developed, can be taken in advance and last for about two hours. Injuries sustained within these two hours will fully recover.

However, the effect of the pill has a limit; multiple minor injuries can all recover quickly within two hours, but one near-fatal injury will use up the pill’s effect. No side effects.”

Qi Xuefei has a new research result again, eh.

His watch vibrated, and Qi Xuefei initiated a trade with Xu Xin.

She gave Xu Xin a whole bottle, containing ten pills.

This stuff is good.

Taking in advance, activating automatically, no need to worry about whether you’re conscious and able to take a pill after a severe injury.

It’s practically like Lou Fei’Er’s near-death burst, truly an extra life!

”One pill can only be taken a day, everyone, think about the timing for taking it, it can also be taken after an injury; the post-injury effect is roughly the same as the previous pill, so try to take regular pills post-injury.”

Qi Xuefei further explained in the group.

Xu Xin held the pill bottle, his eyes slightly brightened.

One can be consumed a day, lasting two hours.

Though not as reliable as the near-death burst, it’s still very strong.

The most important thing is, there are no side effects, no weakness.
