Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 750: Chapter 477: New Reward - Coal Boss! (5400 words)_3

A unit of coal isn’t large, weighing no more than half a pound.

Around a hundred thirty or forty thousand pieces, weighing several dozen tons.

Sounds like a lot, but regarding the total reserves, it’s basically just scraping a layer off.

It’s just a sprinkle.

Think about it, they’ve refined so much steel already, as the raw material for steel fire, they’ve consumed an uncountable amount of coal, yet the mine pits are getting larger.

Their coal resources are still quite abundant.

This coal mining site can basically meet all their future coal demands.

Sending some warmth to the people in the outer districts isn’t impossible.

”What, do we really need to help them?” Li Wenxi sat up from the sofa, ”If we really need to help, I can summon people now, and we can all go there to dig coal together!”

”Are you turning from a miner leader to a coal boss?” Xu Xin quipped.

”Mind your own business!” Li Wenxi made a face at him and continued, ”Though it’s now dark, but it’s only just past four o’clock. Our mine site, a few kilometers away from the treehouse, is a bit far. I was early to avoid anything happening at night, but your coal mine site is no problem, anyway, it’s just a few hundred meters from your treehouse.”

Indeed, there’s no need to worry about safety here.

”Then come on over, even if we’re not helping, we need coal ourselves too,” Xu Xin nodded.

”Alright, I’ll go call them now! By the way, do you need the coal I have on hand?” Li Wenxi turned the camera towards her backpack.

”No need, I still have quite a bit. I’m going to release some first to test the effect.”

”Oh, okay!”

Ending the video, Xu Xin first released a thousand blocks of coal on the world trading platform, priced at an equivalent amount of green-level basic resources, and then he opened the [Explorers] group.

In the group, everyone was discussing another matter.

Ji Chaoyang: ”Everyone, how should we treat Zone 1, have you thought about it?”

Wang Lei: ”We probably can’t treat them entirely as our own, right?”

Qin Yunlong: ”Treating them the same as Zone 188 obviously won’t do. However, providing them with resources at a lower price than other zones should be fine.”

Wen Guixin: ”That’s what I think too. I talked quite well with the person ranked fifth in Zone 1.”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”Then let’s give them the first-level resources. Just ensure they’re weaker than us, to avoid backstabbing later on. By the way, I also talked pretty well with the person ranked third.”

Xu Xin: ”Still no news from Shi Wanyun.”

Ji Chaoyang: ”Then let’s consider it carefully. My prophecy this time doesn’t contain any useful information, just a plain jungle scene, likely tomorrow’s scenery. There may be no danger tomorrow.”

Xu Xin’s eyebrows raised slightly.

Is it similar to the... rest day after the first phase of activities?

If it really is, that would be great.

”Oh, right.”

He shared his recent thoughts in the [Explorers] group.

Others immediately spoke up.

Ji Chaoyang: ”If your coal reserves are sufficient, I agree.”

He likely shares a similar view to Xu Xin.

Wen Guixin: ”You’re really a nice guy, Xu Xin. Whether they live or die is none of our business, yet Wenxi is mining coal for them.”

Li Wenxi: ”Oh, it’s fine. This coal pit is easy to mine, plus, this idea was proposed by me.”

Wen Guixin: ”I see. Since you two are the ones involved and feel this way, I don’t have any objections.”

She still doesn’t fully understand, but doesn’t hinder them.

Qin Yunlong: ”I think it’s fine to help; we are all survivors. Now that we’re allied with Zone 1, who knows... maybe everyone can work together in the future? I can also bring people to help with the mining.”

Qi Xuefei: ”If it’s not too much trouble, then let’s help them. If in the future, they can become partners, it’d be perfect. Even if they become enemies later on, they wouldn’t be able to harm us much, right?”

Everyone reached a consensus.

That is, let’s try helping first.

Now everyone doesn’t care much about regional conflicts anymore. After all, they are too strong.

”Alright, I got it.”

Xu Xin put down the watch.

At this time, a sound indicating the formation of a teleportation door exit echoed outside the treehouse.

Lou Fei’Er and the three returned.

”How’d it go, boss? We did a good job, right!” Zeng Tao boasted slightly, raising her head as Xu Xin peered through the window, ”We are the conquerors of winter!”

”Okay, Xiaotaozi, stop boasting. What’s so proud of taking a shortcut,” Lou Fei’Er tried to dampen her spirits.

”What did you say!”

The two girls started bickering again, while Jin Yue quietly returned to her treehouse.

Xu Xin took a glance at world channel.

”Brothers! Xu Xin’s newly uploaded coal can keep the treehouse temperature above 10 degrees!”

”For real?!”

”Damn it, all snatched up!”

”Clever ones grabbed it when the boss uploaded it. Whatever it is, just grab it!”

”Boss, Xu Xin, begging for coal! I’m freezing!”

Indeed, coal can barely provide warmth.

At this point, the teleportation door fluctuated, and Li Wenxi arrived with the mining team.

She looked up and winked at Xu Xin, then led the mining team to dig coal.

Xu Xin smiled, put the remaining coal on the world trading platform, limited to three pieces per person, noted to use only when unbearably cold, then swung down from the treehouse to join Li Wenxi in mining coal.

Over two hours, Xu Xin put up nearly two hundred thousand blocks of coal on the world trading platform.

The entire world channel was filled with praise and admiration for Xu Xin, and for the explorers.

”That should be enough, right?” Li Wenxi glanced at the time and waved her hand, ”Off work, everyone, go home and rest!”

”Yay!” The crowd cheered collectively and dispersed.

Their faces were dirty, but they were beaming with smiles.

After all, they were aware of global happenings, aware of how fortunate their current circumstances are.

”A total of over a million units of coal mined, with two hundred thousand distributed, and the remaining enough to last us for a long time,” Li Wenxi said with a smile, ”This coal mining efficiency is much higher than iron mining.”

”But it also has many more uses. Let’s head back, your face is all grey.” Xu Xin gently tried to wipe her face, only to leave a fingerprint on it, as his hand wasn’t clean either.

”As if you’re clean!” Li Wenxi used her dirty hand to rub his face, watching him with a dirty face, burst into laughter.

She didn’t return to her treehouse but went back with Xu Xin to his treehouse.

The two then walked into the bathroom together.

A couple’s bath.

After bathing, Li Wenxi lay on the bed with a flushed face, lips slightly parted, breathing softly.

”...You, couldn’t you wait until you’re in bed to say that...” She gently kicked Xu Xin, who was lying beside her, scrolling through the watch.

”Oh...” Keke flipped on the bedhead, the big tail drooping by the bed, continuing to sleep.

”Your bathwater is too hot, it’s making me uncomfortable,” Xu Xin joked, while sliding away the watch projection, then lay down on the bed.

Most of the issues were resolved.

Except for Shi Wanyun’s side; as of now, there is still no reply.

Oh well, whatever happens, let it be tomorrow’s problem.

He has done what he can, hopefully, these people won’t have too many casualties.
