Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 738: Chapter 473: Let’s Heal the Injuries First (5,000 Words)_3

Moreover, due to the towering height of this giant tree, its canopy blocks out the sky, and the nearest point is essentially right above Shi Wanyun’s current location.

”Almost there...” Shi Wanyun chuckled wryly, ”You might not believe it, but my current location is only about two hundred meters from the initial location. In these thirty hours, I’ve only moved two hundred meters...”

This...

”This mission, for someone like me right now, can be described as a suicide mission,” Shi Wanyun’s tone remained gentle, but Xu Xin could hear the unwillingness in her voice.

”The mutated creatures around, although they don’t directly see me as an enemy, they treat me as prey. On the path of these two hundred meters, I faced attacks from two high-level mutated creatures, each time leaving me in a near-death state.”

”Fortunately, the Healing Medicine you explorers sell saved my life twice.”

Explorers’ Healing Medicine?

Xu Xin raised an eyebrow slightly.

Is it the Healing Medicine sold by Qi Xuefei?

He remembered that the Healing Medicine Qi Xuefei sold externally should be low-level pills, right?

Those kinds that can only be taken once every 24 hours and have a 2-hour vulnerability period, right?

Shi Wanyun quickly explained: ”Your Healing Medicine is indeed effective, but the two-hour vulnerability period is overly deadly. Without taking the Healing Medicine, I would have probably died on the spot...”

”The first time I fell into weakness was when I started frantically sending requests to establish contact with you all.” Her face showed a hint of embarrassment, but soon returned to calm.

”At that time, I had just come out of the cave for two minutes and immediately fell into desperation, severely injured, entered a weakened state, and faced enormous risks around me. My mentality was somewhat unbalanced. And the others in Area 1 couldn’t provide me with help beyond conventional means, so I thought of you, which led to such actions.”

”...So that’s how it is.” Xu Xin nodded.

No wonder she did something seemingly lacking the composure expected from a strong person in Area 1.

It turns out that at that time, she had already fallen into a life crisis and panic.

”Fortunately, the mutated creatures around didn’t seem too interested in me when I was weak. One bear even sniffed me before turning away.”

Her gentle words carried faint tremors; the scene must have been terrifying for her.

”After spending the vulnerability period, I didn’t dare to move forward. I climbed a tree and hid in the canopy, starting to observe the surroundings. At that time, I couldn’t take another Healing Medicine pill within twenty-four hours, and if I got heavily injured again like before...”

Just listening, Xu Xin could feel her desperate situation at the time.

It was truly hopeless.

”I was observing the surroundings while continuing to send invitations to establish contact with you all. Because I knew that only you might offer me my last hope.” She looked at Xu Xin through the screen, ”But... I received your missing response. At that time, I guessed that maybe, like me, you were also caught in the trigger event.”

”So, did you move forward again?” Xu Xin asked.

”No.” Shi Wanyun shook her head, ”I... didn’t dare. I was afraid of dying, so I stayed hidden in the canopy, waiting until the twenty-four-hour limit of the Healing Medicine had passed before setting out again.”

”And it turns out my choice was the right one. In just another hundred meters, the previous experiences repeated themselves.” She gently touched her neck, and under Xu Xin’s gaze, her eye corners visibly twitched twice, ”If I had set out earlier, I would probably be dead now.”

Hiss...

It’s so desperate...

”Indeed, I was nearly hopeless, with only you being my last hope.” Shi Wanyun spoke softly, knowing she had no room for negotiation in her current situation, so her demeanor was very humble, ”Fortunately, you finally established contact with Area 1, and I seized the opportunity and just sent you a message.”

”And my action of sending you a message attracted a mutated creature, forcing me to flee, hence I couldn’t immediately reply to your message and instead painstakingly found a place to hide.”

”Were you attacked again? Are you injured?” Xu Xin asked.

”My back.” Shi Wanyun’s expression didn’t change much, ”My back was scratched by a paw, the injury isn’t severe, but my armor is completely destroyed.”

She pointed to the fragments of armor on the ground.

Xu Xin felt a bit helpless as he gently stroked Keke, who had been well-behaved in his arms.

She’s really hard to rescue.

Her current situation is just too difficult.

”...I know, even if you help me, the chances of survival are slim, but...” Shi Wanyun looked at Xu Xin and slightly opened her mouth, unsure of what to say.

She didn’t seem very accustomed to interacting with others; her previous words were mostly narrating her own story.

But that’s normal; otherwise, she wouldn’t have become a lone wolf.

”...You... you are my only hope.” Shi Wanyun’s voice remained gentle, but her eyes trembled slightly, as if wanting to say more but didn’t, her gaze grew dimmer, ”If you don’t want to save me, just hang up the call.”

She herself felt no hope in her current situation.

Even she didn’t believe anyone on the other end would provide her with at least a purple-grade advanced set of equipment and weapons.

After all, looking at the current situation, it’s basically equivalent to throwing away a set of advanced equipment.

Xu Xin sighed and reached out to slide the screen.

Shi Wanyun’s eyes clearly grew dim, her head lowered slightly.

Then, she received a trade invitation.

”This is...”

She looked at the pill in her hand, slightly parted her lips.

”A high-level pill made by Sister Xuefei, with no usage interval limit, no side effects, heal your injuries first.”
