Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 705: Chapter 463: Trying to Chat with the Soft Big Guy (4600 words)_2

Suddenly, shouts came from the other side of the vine bundle.

Xu Xin’s eyebrows twitched.

”It’s Zhao Xiaochuan! He came in!” Lou Feier exclaimed in surprise.

”Let’s go! Find him!” Xu Xin glanced at Zhang Yin, who was deep in thought, bypassed the main vine bundle, and shouted in Zhao Xiaochuan’s direction, ”We’re over here!”

”Brother Xin!” Zhao Xiaochuan saw Xu Xin and immediately looked delighted, ”You guys are indeed here!”

Saying this, he quickly ran to Xu Xin’s side.

”Finally found you, Brother Xin! And Sister Fei’Er! You guys returned to the main vine bundle so early!”

”What’s the situation outside?” Xu Xin didn’t waste any words and asked directly.

”Ah, it’s like this! Brother Xin, we need your wristband!”

With that, he began to explain.

It was indeed Wang Lei who fired the signal flare.

And Zhao Xiaochuan was a few kilometers away from Wang Lei at the time. Just as he was coming out from the underground prison, so he rushed over to Wang Lei without stopping.

”That guy Wang Lei was cornered by a group of statue creatures at the door!” Zhao Xiaochuan’s words stunned Xu Xin and Lou Feier.

”Cornered by statue creatures?” Xu Xin asked with some confusion.

”Yeah, he’s still in the underground branch prison. To be honest, if it weren’t for the large number of statue creatures surrounding the entrance to his underground branch prison, I wouldn’t have found his location, after all, the vine branch has been retracted.”

”I saw so many statue creatures around that prison, and these statue creatures were surrounded by some giant beasts, with some underground creatures’ corpses and statue pieces scattered around, I was shocked.”

”Then I used my ability to sneak in and took a look inside from the prison entrance, and sure enough, Wang Lei was sitting right there! So I just jumped in and asked him what was going on.”

”He told me that as soon as he opened the prison door without even looking inside, statue creatures began to surge out from below, and among them was even an advanced statue creature!”

”After those statue creatures came out, they tried to attack him. After Wang Lei smashed two statues, he found the surrounding giant beasts charging towards their location!”

”Without a word, he jumped directly into the underground prison. After taking a look around, he discovered that the cages imprisoning statue creatures in the underground prison had somehow all been opened, so the statue creatures were waiting right at the exit, and as soon as he opened the underground prison door, these statues started emerging!”

”When he returned to the exit, the statue creatures outside had already fought with the underground creatures, forming a standoff, so of course, he didn’t dare to move recklessly, and after thinking it over, he decided to fire the signal flare.”

...?

Xu Xin felt a bit in the clouds.

He understood the overall process, but the details...

”Did he... not see Xiaohong?” At this moment, Zhang Yin also walked over and asked.

”Nope.” Zhao Xiaochuan shook his head, ”There’s indeed no Xiaohong.”

”I see...” Zhang Yin was a bit disappointed but didn’t say anything more.

He had already guessed Xiaohong’s chances of being in these underground branch prisons were slim.

”Cages imprisoning statue creatures?” Xu Xin repeated Zhao Xiaochuan’s words, then asked, ”What exactly is the underground prison you explored like?”

”Ah? Brother Xin’s isn’t the same as ours?” Zhao Xiaochuan said in surprise, then glanced at Lou Feier.

”Don’t look at me.” Lou Feier shrugged, ”I didn’t explore the underground prison. My prison was managed by Wen Guixin. I’ve always been inside Xu Xin’s wristband.”

”Oh, right, right.” Zhao Xiaochuan nodded, ”My prison, after going down, there’s a spiral staircase; walk five rounds, and you’ll reach the bottom, then there’s a row of cages filled with imprisoned mutated creature statues. Isn’t it the same for you, Brother Xin?”

”...Not much difference. Is Wang Lei’s prison the same too?”

”Yeah, his prison is basically identical to mine, except all the cages inside were opened, and the statue creatures all ran out, leading to such a change.”

So that’s how it is...

He had been running downward for a good ten-plus minutes to reach the bottom. Zhao Xiaochuan and the others could reach the bottom just by going five rounds...

No wonder Zhao Xiaochuan and the others saw Wang Lei’s signal flare.

Xu Xin was worried that Wang Lei fired the signal flare when he came out of the underground prison, and when he opened the underground prison, apart from Wen Guixin, the others obviously hadn’t opened theirs, so if others were like him, they might not have come out of the prison yet, wouldn’t that mean they couldn’t see it?

Unexpectedly, their underground prisons were so easy to explore...

”I was thinking that if you, Brother Xin, could come and use your wristband, I could bring Wang Lei out. So I had Wang Lei wait inside, while I came out. I figured you’d definitely come over after seeing Wang Lei’s signal flare, so I waited outside. In the end, didn’t find you but found Brother Chaoyang and Sister Gui Xin.”

”All four of you are at Wang Lei’s?” Lou Feier said in surprise.

”Yes.” Zhao Xiaochuan nodded, ”Sister Gui Xin saw Wang Lei’s signal flare while on the way from the first underground prison to the second. After opening the second prison, and letting the last vine branch retract, she directly came over to Wang Lei’s side.”
