Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 710: Chapter 465: Escape Alive, Return to the Surface! (6,200-Word Chapter!)

”Ying!”

Before Xu Xin could speak, Keke suddenly poked her little head and let out a cry.

From the giant mouth on the ground, a deep voice reverberated upwards.

This time, it didn’t make Xu Xin uncomfortable.

This big guy seemed not to want to hurt him.

And at this moment, its inner voice also reached Xu Xin’s ears.

”This little fellow... so strange.”

The little fellow it referred to should be Keke.

Unexpectedly, Keke was able to make this super giant beast find her strange.

”Ying ying ying!” Keke called out several times and waved her little paw.

Xu Xin then spoke: ”Hello, I’d like to ask you for a favor, and I might be able to help you too.”

”He... really doesn’t recognize me?” the giant beast’s mind echoed in Xu Xin’s heart, causing his eyelid to twitch.

Why would this big guy think that he knows it?

However, considering the previous incident with the giant python, he did not reveal his ability to read minds, but instead continued: ”Above in the vines, there’s a group of stone statue creatures I’d like you to help expel them from that area.”

A low growl came from the large mouth on the ground.

”Ying!” Keke cried, looking at Xu Xin.

It didn’t explain the meaning of the big mouth to Xu Xin since it already knew that Xu Xin had mind-reading ability.

The inner voice echoed again: ”Those stone statue creatures... seems he may be disappointed, with my current ability, I cannot affect above. Unless...”

From the big mouth, another deep sound emanated, and the mouth began to close.

”Having been suppressed for too long, I need to devour the energy of those little ones outside to regain some strength... never mind, he likely can’t understand my speech now...”

This sentence made Xu Xin’s eyelid twitch twice.

Those little ones outside?

It should be referring to...

The giant beasts!

Those giant beasts are indeed giant beasts to him, but to this one, they are indeed little ones!

It could swallow them whole!

”In exchange, we can help lead the giant beasts into a trap!” Xu Xin immediately said.

”Ying?... Ying!” Keke nodded her little head in agreement, though she seemed completely unaware of the situation, her little head was still tilted.

”The giant beasts... are referring to those little ones? It really is impressive that &$*￥ can guess my needs...”

Another low voice echoed from the underground.

Then, the soft ground started to shake, and the big mouth began to close.

The entire mouth, like a gathered stream, closed completely in an instant.

The ground returned to smoothness.

As the mouth closed, the last sound came into Xu Xin’s mind.

”If I can recover, I’ll lend him a hand. Just not sure, will he understand my intentions.”

After that, Xu Xin could no longer hear any sound.

The big guy seemed to have fallen asleep once more.

”Ying?” Keke jumped down from Xu Xin’s shoulder and hopped to where the big mouth had been open, scratching at the ground twice.

Xu Xin took a deep breath, lifted Keke off the ground, and began walking back.

Although this exchange left him feeling confused, he at least received a definite response from the giant beast.

The next task became clear.

Lead the surrounding giant beasts into this trap!

Restore the energy of this big guy, then it can help expel the stone statues in that space!

Though not knowing how it will help, it certainly can.

Inner voices shouldn’t lie, right?

He and Keke returned to the top level of the underground prison, passed through the control room, and entered the prison.

Perhaps due to the big guy below waking up earlier, the underground creatures locked in the prison were exceptionally obedient, each lying in their cages without moving a muscle.

Also, because Lou Fei’Er was not around, these giant insects showed no interest in Xu Xin, so the journey was very quiet, even the giant beasts on lower levels were indifferent to him.

”Eh...? What’s this...”

”Ying!”

While passing a giant beast’s cell, Xu Xin stopped to look inside.

This cell was originally empty.

But now, inside lay a very weak-looking giant bull.

The bull wasn’t unconscious, but it seemed limp all over, and upon seeing Xu Xin, its large head lifted slightly, eyelids fluttered, then no further movement.

...How was this giant bull transferred to this cell...?

Unexpectedly, the efficiency of the big guy below is quite high.

Shaking his head, Xu Xin continued forward, soon arriving at the two-headed lion’s cage.

Now, the two-headed lion was still resting on the ground as before.

This time, after glancing at Xu Xin, its two heads didn’t move, even closing their eyes to rest.

No longer displaying the previous grandeur when roaring at them.

Was it scared by the giant beast?

Or perhaps it knows it won’t intimidate him, so it’s too lazy to move?

”Ying!” Keke jumped down from Xu Xin’s shoulder, guiding him to the lever that triggers entry to the warehouse.

Without a word, Xu Xin reached out and grabbed it.

An arc surged along his arm, his body tingled slightly, and a passage opened below him, causing him to start falling.
