Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 704: Chapter 463: Trying to Chat with the Soft Big Guy (4600 words)

Xu Xin felt that this activity was downright malicious.

He sensed that this was absolutely not a mission they should be encountering at this stage.

After all, considering that most people are unaware of the underground world’s existence, how could there possibly be any normal activities related to it?

He stared at the button before him, feeling completely unsettled.

He did find a way back, though.

It’s very simple, as long as everyone is in this space, then pressing this button will do the trick.

These stone statues wouldn’t awaken simply because someone entered.

But...

According to the console’s introduction, when this button is pressed, not only will they be transported back to the surface, but these stone statues will also be teleported to the surface!

He seemed to understand how that pile of stone statues ended up at the top of Xue Feng.

They’re probably the ones that were transported up together!

Although the Snow Mountain Transmission Array wasn’t activated back then, maybe they had some method for one-way transmission.

Furrowing his brows, Xu Xin began to head back.

He wasn’t cautious anymore, jumping straight up in place, leaping over ten meters.

Anyway, these stone statues weren’t going to wake up.

Soon, he had jumped back to the entrance.

”So, how is it? What’s the situation?” Chang Yin inquired.

Xu Xin informed Chang Yin of his discovery.

”This...” Chang Yin’s stony brow furrowed as well, ”This is not good.”

”Of course it’s not good.” Xu Xin rubbed his brow, feeling deeply troubled.

This is an incredibly bad situation!

It’s absolutely outrageous!

Even if they want to return, they can’t bring all these stone statues back to the surface, right?

That’s just too ridiculous!

If it’s just those low-level and mid-level mutant creature statues, that’s one thing, but dozens of high-level mutant creature statues...

He couldn’t handle even one, to be honest...

Even with the various weapons in the current treehouse, maybe dealing with one or two isn’t a problem, but dozens...

Seriously, forget about it.

If they wake up, their only fate would be to get beaten.

If they all got transported back to the surface together, his treehouse could be immediately taken over by someone else.

Some solution must be found.

”Let’s get out first.”

”Alright.”

The two furrowed their brows and silently pondered how to resolve this problem.

After emerging from the main vine bundle, Xu Xin saw Lou Fei’Er sliding her watch while leaning against a gap.

”You guys are out. These giant beasts are really fascinating.” As Lou Fei’Er saw them come out, she straightened her body and pointed at the group of giant beasts outside, who were in a chaotic battle.

”What’s up?” Xu Xin looked outside.

At the moment, he was somewhat far from the giant beasts, practically unable to hear their mental voices anymore.

Now he could basically confirm that the furthest range he could hear mental voices should be around three hundred meters.

Moreover, the further away, the weaker the mental voice, three hundred meters was already very weak, the limit of what he could hear.

”Even though they are caught up in a melee, any giant beast that gets seriously injured will automatically exit the battle, and the surrounding beasts will cease their attacks on it,” Lou Fei’Er explained, shaking her head with a laugh, ”These giants fought for so long but not one has fallen; are they just play-fighting?”

This is similar to before.

”Do you know why these beasts are fighting?” Xu Xin turned and asked Chang Yin.

Chang Yin shook his head: ”No clue, ever since I arrived underground, they’ve been like this, although previously it was always one-on-one, they seldom fought in a chaotic melee.”

”So what did you see inside? Why do you both look so grim?” Lou Fei’Er noticed the solemn expressions of the two, and inquired.

Xu Xin shared his discovery with Lou Fei’Er.

”So, to get out, we need to take the whole group of stone statues with us?” Lou Fei’Er asked, somewhat dumbfounded, ”Can’t we lure them out?”

”From where?” Xu Xin shook his head, ”Where nearby is there an exit large enough to lure those enormous creatures out? Even if there was an exit, how would we lure them? If they attack, we have no power to resist, let alone lure them out.”

”...Perhaps we could let that big guy help?” Lou Fei’Er suggested, pointing downwards.

”Big guy...” Chang Yin muttered a couple of times, then chuckled bitterly, shaking his head, ”You sure have ideas, that big guy, even the Blood Pattern Race wouldn’t dare provoke it too much, how could it help?”

”Give it what it wants.” Lou Fei’Er stomped her foot and glanced at the ground.

”How do you usually satisfy it, to get it to work for you?” Xu Xin thought it might be possible, after all, he had seen those sudden large mouths appear on the big guy.

If it made a move, possibly swallowing those stone creature statues into its body might not be a problem.

”Satisfy it?” Chang Yin paused, ”We seem...never did anything to satisfy it, right, just let it swallow large underground creatures to the prison cell directly...wait...”

He furrowed his brows slightly as if pondering something.

Xu Xin and Lou Fei’Er remained silent, awaiting Chang Yin’s response.

Perhaps, the big guy being held below the prison is their only hope now.

”Anyone there? Brother Xin, are you there?”
